Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all, 6.1 here.
Got my annual blood tests, weighing and measuring, foot tickling etc this afternoon, prior to my annual review at the surgery. That won’t be til January, but the HCP who books the appointments reckons it’s too cruel to do the tests immediately after the Christmas excesses.

Morning

4.9 which I am pleased with as I had a very small portion of rice yesterday. Plans for today are after work help hubby put up mum’s tree, it is a pre lit one and very heavy, but once up she will decorate and hubby will put her lights round the ceiling while I put the tinsel on top of her wall unit as everything else is at a good height for her.

Here is my wreath which for @Robin and @MeeTooTeeTo will be know going forward as the Wrath of Gran

4.9for me

Good morning 5.1 (on waking) then as I looked skipped straight to 5.3

November ended up being quite a good month for me at work
however a new month has begun, it all starts again so fingers crossed December goes OK

I spoke to a roofing company yesterday who are now coming (everything crossed) today to replace the cheeks of our dormer window upstairs, previously we had several repairs done (by a different contractor) around that window it will be a relief if that finally makes that area of the roof watertight :thankyou: saving Mrs @goodybags managing the water ingress as she has been for the last few months

Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone 😎

6.0 for me.

Day2 of my training. It's good and I'm enjoying it but I do wish the NHS could rationalise resources sometimes. I did all my mandatory yearly training in my old Trust in July, then moved to this Trust in October. There are one or two things which have crossed over without me needing to repeat but a lot are my 2nd lot of training in 6 months - and this is 2 days where I could be helping my short staffed colleagues! Hey ho! I have zero interest in ever becoming a manager so I'm never going to be in a position to change this. I'll just settle for whinging instead
Happy Tuesday to everyone who celebrates.

Morning all from a frosty Lake District. 7.2, I’m on my hols! 😛

Still in bed trying to get warm, the accommodation bunf said heating was programmed to go on at 6am. It didn’t, I manually put it on a 7.45. It’ll be fine soon, brrr! We’re in a one bed ground floor apartment in a country house once belonging to the Wordsworth family. It’s very nice, overlooking the River Rathay and the fells. Loughrigg is behind us, we’ll be climbing it sometime this week. Not a large fell but still a Wainwright, it’ll put our total up to 12/214! We’re fairly racking them up! 😉

Have a great day all.
@Grannylorraine you’re a very talented lady, your wrath of granny is absolutely beautiful. <3

Morning all. 5.5. Been away for a few days to Chester for my birthday tomorrow. Had a lovely time.

Now i'm back and today going over to the hospital with my brother to get answers about mum. We're not happy!

Congrats to anyone who has had a HS while i've been away. @Grannylorraine, lovely wreath (wrath?). @eggyg have a good holiday. What is a Wainwright?

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all! Got back last night and haven’t unpacked yet so there’s that to do today. Plus laundry.

Had a great time and it was just what the doctor ordered.

5.9

A 6.1 for me today. 🙂
That's one brilliant wreath @Grannylorraine :star::star::star::star::star:

A little on the high side (8.5) for me on waking from a pleasant night of uninterrupted sleep and pretty flat blood sugar. Back down to a much more acceptable 6.7 now, after a leisurely breakfast of a sausage omelette, granola with yoghurt and coffee. Plus I managed to finish the Guardian Cryptic crossword and my usual trio of word puzzles (Wordle, Quordle, Octordle), so bonus 🙂

And it’s a happy 5.1 for me today and we still have grey skies. Have a good day everyone.

What is a Wainwright
It’s one of 214 fells designated by reknowned fell walker Alfred Wainwright way back in the day. They have to be a certain height, I can’t recall what that is, and it’s a challenge to walk/climb them all in your lifetime, if you’re that way inclined! It’s called bagging a Wainwright. Just a bit of fun. He wrote beautifully illustrated books, which of course I’ve got, and they still sell today. I think he died in the 70s and allegedly he was a miserable old so and so! It’s just a bit of fun for us, but there’s challenges where some mad folks do them all in 7 days or so, we’re never going to do them all, we should have started when we were younger!
PS you can do up to about 7 at a time because they’re nearly all joined up, the most we’ve done is three. We once did two without realising!

5.8 this morning for me.

New sensor is a little skittish, as they tend to be for me on the first day before they settle down. Had an alarm at 3am, which may have been genuine but I admit I didn’t fingerprick, just treated it and fell back to sleep. Hoping it will settle down today and be normal. Abbott are sending a replacement for the failed one even though it failed with just one day to go. I reported it more to get it registered as a fault than anything else.

Wondering whether I need to change things with my insulin a bit. These last few weeks it’s almost like my ratio should be more 1:10 instead of 1:8. Also considering splitting my basal as in the evenings BG rises gradually as though the Levemir is running out. Trouble is this means doing some basal tests which I struggle with

Love your wreaths @Grannylorraine - wish you were closer to us, we’d love one of those! The one we got from our local lady in the village is a bit smaller than we normally have.

Hope the heating kicks in soon for you @eggyg - enjoy your holiday in the Lakes!

Take care everyone!
