Morning all. Looks like I’m first up with a 5.8, same as yesterday. At least I’m consistent!
It’s a chilly -3, but it usually gets colder as dawn breaks.I’ve had to flick the heating on, normally goes on at 8am. Fire in living room is still glowing, it’ll reignite with a few sticks and a few lumps of coal.
We’re helping with swimming today, even though it’s not our turn, but other grandparents have a hospital appointment. We have a VERY busy day. Mr Eggy, hair cut at 10, straight to swimming for 10.50 to look after Eden, then home with Zara just after 12. Then Eden and mummy arrive after 1 to be fed! But today they aren’t going home as we have 15 for tea! Yep, 15! Don’t worry, I’m not cooking. We’re supplying the venue, crockery, cutlery, glasses, drinks, and paying for a takeaway! It’s our eldest granddaughter’s (also eldest grandchild) 18th birthday on Saturday the 30th. We had planned a restaurant but daughter left it too late and we couldn’t get anywhere that had enough space or suitability for us all, and for two babies in prams! She’s going away on her actual birthday with some girlfriends to Liverpool to shop ‘til she drops! Our dining room now has the kitchen table in too, it looks like a teeny tiny bistro! 13 around the tables, one in a high chair and one in his pram or bouncy chair. 11 for Indian and three for Domino’s. I can hear my credit card weeping already, or is that Mr Eggy? 😛 I’m thankful I’ve a dishwasher! The best bit though is, we won’t see anyone for 11 days as we’re off on our holidays on Monday. Yes!
Have a cool( literally) day.
