Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 8.7 here.

Cylch Darllen / Book Club this morning - we’re reading our way thru a book of short stories. They’re brilliant! Proper short stories with an unexpected twist in the tail. Lesson planning, then an hour of work training this afternoon.

Have a FAB time with your folks in Caerdydd / Cardiff @Elenka_HM. Patti’s right, it’s a lovely city, especially the quirky arcades with small shops and galleries. And there’s some surprisingly international art at the National Gallery. ¡Que lo paséis muy bien!
¡Muchas gracias! We are enjoying, and I did like the arcades. I've learnt some Welsh too: "y safle nesaf yw" (the next stop is). That's what a couple of hours in a country bus does to you. I don't promise I can pronounce it tho 😛

@Elenka_HM Cardiff is a very buzzing city. Lots of lovely restaurants in the Bay area and some in the main town. Also some beautiful arcades full of individual shops. Visit Rum and Fizz for a pre-dinner drink and be transported back to a Victorian parlour. Or visit The Ivy restaurant which has the most quirky ladies toilet I have ever been in, see pic. Foods not bad either
Thank you so much for recs! We are enjoying the city, and we did see some of the arcades, I like them. Today we are in the Bay area, so hopefully we will find one of those nice places to eat 🙂

@eggyg Buying a house which floods? Can they get insurance?
We’ve been for a walk by and we don’t believe the house could have been flooded but expect the garden maybe has been up to a point. My son in law’s family business has been flooded twice so he knows the score and apparently you can get insured but it can be pricy but after five years it returns to normal price . I know a lot of people who have been flooded both times and definitely were insured the second time round. I also know a few folks who’ve bought flooded homes and are quite happy to chance it as they usually get a bargain! We’ll find out for sure if it has been flooded on Monday as the owners are showing them around. It does look quirky and has a fabulous garden. I’m excited for them, they want this to be their forever home.

Evening Eggy pleased your walk past the house seems fine and that your daughter and partner are cognisant with any flooding concerns.
Any specific risks will likely be covered in the Solicitors questions which the seller has a legal obligation to answer truthfully so it should be clear exactly what the historical flooding risk has been.

Good morning everyone

BG 5.2 yesss AND its my birthday today. 71 and I only feel 90.

Not one single card, or text or email. It's a lone life at times. I am hoping for cake at least, but I doubt any will turn up. Sigh.

I could understand it if I was a nasty person or unsociable, or , or, or, sigh. But on the bright side, we have my favourite fish supper tonight. I know that cos I bought it!

Morning and a Hawaiian 5.0 from me and up early with hounds but all done and dusted now.
Happy Birhday Gwynn even if none of us can give you the present you wish for most.
We went for lunch at our favourite Saturday place but due to illness they were only offering a breakfast bap menu so we went to our favourite Sunday place and normal service was resumed.
Nice day yesterday and fireworks were nit too bad so dogs not too upset. One of our dogs who is an Affenpinzer so like a little Black Monkey went to the groomers and has come back like a Pug in fact quite a tubby little one which is much more evident with his hair gone.
Anyway again wishing you all the best Gwynn and everyone else to enjoy rest of w/ end

A very early ( for a Sunday) 6.2. I did go to bed early so I’ve had my allocated sleep!

Nothing doing today. Cottage pie for tea, perfect comfort food for a dull, grey and cool November day.

Happy birthday @Gwynn and congratulations on your HS. It’s early yet, still plenty of time for cards, texts, emails. Not everyone are early birds like us, especially on a Sunday. Never lose hope, that’s what keeps us going. Without hope we have nothing. Have a great day.

Happy birthday @Gwynn ! And congrats on your HS :star:

A 4.8 for me to start the day.

Morning all, 4.3 here,
Happy birthday,@Gwynn, and congratulations on the birthday House Special.
I went out for a hack on our pony yesterday, and rode past a verge where there were poppies still in flower. Can’t remember seeing them still flowering in the wild so close to Armistice day.

Good morning 7.2 was thinking to myself did I really eat that badly yesterday - to wake up to that ? then I remembered yes I did, with that in mind think will go and swim today

@Gwynn Congrats on the HS :star:  and Happy Birthday :star::party:
as Pat didn’t deliver any, I’ve just sorted you out a Birthday Card

Have a Super Smashing Sunday Everyone 😎

Good morning 6.7

Happy Birthday @Gwynn

Nasty, misty, grey morning here. I loath these shortening days and the clock change. Only 6 weeks until the sun starts its slow return. Nothing planned except worrying about house move and daughter. Not a sensible program as it might lead to BUNS. Shall have to think of something more distracting. Maybe time to sort out the book cases so that spares can be donated. Nobody with diabetes needs that many cook books...

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.

Da iawn! @Elenka_HM - you’re welcome in one of my Zoom classes anytime. If you want to learn some more, why not take a trip out to St Fagan’s National History Museum (it’s on the outskirts of Cardiff). It’s a real gem - it’s a collection of traditional buildings that have been taken down and rebuilt at the open air museum. It’s a lovely place to visit.

Morning folks. 8.5 here...I’m blaming this pesky cold, so I won’t do any more tweaking just yet.

A typical Sunday awaits!

Happy House Special Birthday @Gwynn 🙂
A 6.2 for me today.

Dez

6.9 today for me after going to bed with a 3.8 and subsequent hypo fix.

Still struggling with T1/T2 uncertainty but will soldier on. Hard to believe I am producing any insulin given how high I shoot up if I have any carbs and no insulin. Also I’m pretty sensitive to insulin, 1U drops my BG by 1mmol. Oh well, c peptide will confirm hopefully.

Congratulations on your HS and Happy Birthday @Gwynn !

Will shortly be heading off from the marina on the narrowboat towards Great Haywood and Tixall Wide.

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning - 4.8
