Thank you! Just back from the hospital and not such good news

. The consultant took my medical history and said she didn’t think it was T1, at least not a typical T1. She didn’t think the original GP had tried enough oral medication after metformin failing to do anything. She has ordered a c peptide and GAD antibody test (which will presumably not show anything now after 22 years from initial symptoms presentation). But the c peptide will show whether I am producing any insulin or not.
I feel like the rug has been pulled from under my feet. Worried about losing insulin and control (which is ideal at the moment as the consultant said). It will take a while though as she will not see me again until 3 months after the blood test. I guess if the c peptide is zero then it will mean I am not producing any insulin and therefore definitely T1?
