Group 7-day waking average?

Go to Arnside it’s lovely. Grange over Sands is quaint and definitely a retirees paradise. Not done Silverdale yet but easily accessible from Arnside. If you’re lucky you might get to see the Arnside bore. No, not the Cumbrian Victor Meldrew! They sound a klaxon to make sure you’re off the sands. Enjoy. Xx
Edited to add; if you go to Silloth park at the RNLI car park and follow the promenade to Skinburness and walk around Grune point, one of our fave walks, we get fish and chips at the end and watch the sunset. One of the best in the world in my humble opinion.
Arnside lovely but have mixed memories as last time there we did the Morecambe Bay walk and ploughed ahead as we had to make a bus timetable. I wanted to enable my wife who I presumed was just behind was not too late so I could ensure we had some transport.
Well she was some way behind me and had fallen in the mud and was not happy that I had abandoned her.
To say it was frosty on the journey home was an understatement and it took a few ways for her feelings to subside.
She reminds me about it at certain occasions like Xmas and Birthdays- can’t think why?

One of the most irritating scam/spam e-mails must be this one. The guy in the picture does remind me a bit of comedian John Richardson doing an impersonation of Frank Spencer's "Oooh Betty".
Well done @eggyg on another HS. My reading was 6.2 today.

Morning all

Congrats on the HS @eggyg

I’ll join the others on the ‘one out’ step with a 5.3 today.

12.1 for me i had a full roast dinner last night so i recon that the diabetic lady was at work and kicking me in the behind

Good morning. 6.9 - could be that I did the animals first or the pint of squash I drank at 0300 hrs. These high figures are annoying me but didn't stop me eating pizza last night...

Decided against the neighbouring house - it needs a lot of work which, withthe current cost of building works defeats the object, Saw another one which might do, rather an eccentric house but good position> Ccntingent on local farmer not raising his price on adjoining field.

Hope everyone doing well - I'll be back to catch up on reading later.

I'm another one who's just missed out on an HS - 5.3 this morning, same as yesterday. I did get a postprandial HS yesterday evening but I know that doesn't count. Congrats @eggyg on yours.

Our youngest was up and out early this morning as he starts at Tesco today. I expect it will be more induction than work for his first day. He's been given 25 hours a week, spread across Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, which is not far off the hours he worked at Sainsbury's, although it works out better for him as it's across 3 days rather than 5, with no evenings.

I like the Peanuts Choir pic @Gwynn but with your musical talent I always imaged you to be more Schroeder:-

My least favourite day - 3 WFH - which means trying to keep out of everyone's way and not making a noise if they're on a call. Might book a swim for today rather than tomorrow, and have lunch in town.

Have a good start to the week.

Morning everyone, a 5.3 for me today, off to the dentist now so have a good day everyone and stay safe.
.

Morning all on another grey day.

6.5 at 07:45.

Going to make a moussaka today to put in the freezer for later this week when we have friends staying. I'll serve it with a Greek Salad. Easy if we've all been out for the day. Apart from that I have very little on.

Love reading about everyone's lives on here.

Congrats to @eggyg on your HS.

Have a good day all.

Good morning! Many hours ago I woke to a HS. Since then had to sort out an outpatient issue (but have I/they?). Also trying to sort some payments in parallel.

No appointments today - thank goodness - but home visit tomorrow (twixt 8:00 and 18:00) following silly o'clock and early doors next two days.

Cloudy but not raining - so far.

Not done Silverdale yet but easily accessible from Arnside.
Brings back memories! When I was at Lancaster University years (ago now!) I remember going to Jenny Brown’s Point near Silverdale to Wolfhouse Galleries, then a lovely craft place that had loads of candles, pottery, etc. not sure if it’s still there but then was worth a visit!

Good morning all! 5.9 today for me.

Just a walk today down to the river lock and back to get some daylight and enjoy the outside for a bit!

Congratulations for yesterday’s HSs : @Grannylorraine and @Barrowman and to today’s: @eggyg and @MikeyBikey !

Have a good day!

@Martin.A for some reason I really like singing, almost as much as playing the keyboard. I am not sure I am as good as Schroeder. He does amazing things on such a small piano ... real skill!!

Afternoon folks.
Only just tested and it's 10.1
GP has put me on another med to help lower my bg. Seems to be working albeit slowly. Downside is it makes me nauseous. Yuk!
Off for my flu jab later today.
No likey these dark evenings ~ roll on Spring.
Take care everyone.

Congrats : @eggyg and @MikeyBikey on your HS, no such luck here at 8.4!

Been playing about profusely on my new pc and laptop, mainly the laptop... a real Learning Curve, not as bad as I was surmising a couple of days ago.

I haven't posted for a while as I fell ill again, feeling better today. Yesterday was a right-off with migraines and darkened rooms all day and last night; leaving me a bit headachy this a.m.

5.4 fasting bc today. Happy grey day all, I had to buy me a bright peachy jacket just so when I went out I would brighten up the day.

5.7 this morning I forgot to take my insulin yesterday morning by the time I remembered it was late last night so I decided to wait until this morning, so expected to be high but it was fine, just finished the living room wallpapering and putting thins back, a few bits to do tomorrow but happy with the results sorry is ive missed all you HS people over the last few days.

Morning all. Another 5.2! That’s on my meter after coming downstairs. My Libre alarm woke me at 5.10 with a 3.8, laid for a while, it went to 4. Got up and it was 4.4 when I came downstairs and no sign of a red line. Decided it wasn’t right so used the meter. Voila! Still haven’t put that lottery ticket on!

Good walk yesterday, although it was grey all day, mild though. Photos aren’t up to much I’m afraid. Hundreds and hundreds of barnacle geese. Quite a sight when they all take off at the same time, very, very noisy! Saw a lone little egret amongst the geese. He seemed happy enough. Very muddy along the Solway Firth, well it is an estuary, the farmland the coastal path takes you was very, very muddy. About 8 miles walked, including waiting at a level crossing, which incidentally was the Glasgow to London Euston line! Never done that before as pedestrians, was quite exciting. Right hip complained a wee bit but recovered after my stretches.

Back to all day childcare today. Daughter back at work after her maternity leave. Nine month old Eden will be dropped off at 8.20pm (sister Zara starts nursery at 8.30), then she’ll be picked up about 5.20pm. Long day for us all, but that’s us until next Wednesday. So not too bad.

Have a great day all.

Here’s a small selection of yesterday’s dull and grey photos. And the obligatory HS photos!
