5.2 for me again, still having the light headed/dizzy spells, had a couple in Tesco, went to knit and natter knitted one row of a baby cardigan and felt awful, so just nattered for the rest of the time. Tried to read when I got home, no dizzy after a couple of pages. Only time I didn’t feel dizzy was taking mum for her flu jab, hubby came as well so he could assist, thankfully the pharmacy is less than 5 mins walk from the apartments mum lives in.

Have you thought that all this dizzyness could be Vertigo? I had a bout of Benign Positional Vertigo some while ago. It was horrid. I suggest you see your GP. This might shed some light https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vertigo/

Morning all - 8.2 for me this morning. Dinner party last night was a resounding success. I really enjoyed making the Lamb shepherd's pie with butterbean crust - lots of lovely spices in it. I did a starter which was rocket leaves; three slices of beetroot; a slice of gravlax, a dollop of gochujang slaw and a dollop of soured cream with a drizzle of balsamic glaze - looked and tasted great and for pudding the chocolate & raspberry pots were amazing (lucky I didn't know that chocolate mousse was meant to be hard to make as I mayn't have bothered) - I ad-libbed and crushed up a digestive biscuit in the bottom of each - definitely not Type2 diabetic friendly but as I was injecting insulin I had a whole portion and I don't think the butterbean crust would have been high carb (although having just looked at the tin and at a packet of potatoes they seem to be similar. I may have to do a controlled test at some point to compare mashed potato with mashed butterbean ... We may go off for a drive over to the coast today as I haven't really been there since moving to Cumbria (apart from on a whirlwind hospital trip when I was taking a patient to Whitehaven and Silloth). Go to Arnside it’s lovely. Grange over Sands is quaint and definitely a retirees paradise. Not done Silverdale yet but easily accessible from Arnside. If you’re lucky you might get to see the Arnside bore. No, not the Cumbrian Victor Meldrew! They sound a klaxon to make sure you’re off the sands. Enjoy. Xx
Edited to add; if you go to Silloth park at the RNLI car park and follow the promenade to Skinburness and walk around Grune point, one of our fave walks, we get fish and chips at the end and watch the sunset. One of the best in the world in my humble opinion.
 
Good afternoon everyone! 9'2 today. Not so happy with my numbers recently, I must reduce carbs or up the insulin. I'm waiting to get Metformin prescribed, the diabetes specialist requested it but the GP didn't seem to get the memo yet. Will give them a call after my holiday next week, anyway I didn't want to start when I'm away in case I get the unpleasant side effects.

Just a couple of days to work before I go. Getting in the travel mood now :starstruck:

I spent four days in hospital with it just before lockdown. As you say absolutely awful with long periods of the room spinning and throwing up. I did have a few dizzy spells in the days before. A short period later I had a cold and cough, and now wonder if I caught Covid there as the hospital was near an airport. It had a really bad outbreak with a number of staff loosing their lives. If tolerated travel sickness pills may help, @Grannylorraine .
 
Oops I did a post this morning and it's gorn... must have forgotten to hit "Post reply".

Can't recall what I was on waking, but I slept for 12 hours like a baby! Due no doubt to having been up for over 18 hours yesterday!

Ah well nothing much left to do except put the chicken in the oven and cook the veg I prepared earlier!

Today rest, sort out some songs, walk

Yesterday was good. I sang at the church and thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Morning all, 5.1 here. Off for the weekly shop, which is the co-op in Chipping Norton. Hope it’s not too crowded, apparently the Sunday Times said it was as good as Fortnum & Mason (hope they haven’t put their prices up to match 😱 !)

Good morning folks. And in the words of Britney, oops I did it again. 5.2! Two in three days, and you know what, I actually had a good night’s sleep. I only woke twice, 3.40 and 5.20 but nodded back off until 7.20! It’s a miracle, I’m off to buy a Euro Millions ticket! 😉

Having a walk today, we’re going to start where we left off on the King Charles 111 England Coast Path last time. This time we’ll actually get to the sea, the Solway, and follow it towards Scotland, we won’t quite cross the border though, but we’ll be close. Only about 6/7 miles Mr Eggy reckons, so that means 11/12 probably! I just follow him blindly!

@Grannylorraine fingers crossed you get through to the GPs , I misread it and thought it said you were going to hold onto the doctor as you felt dizzy. Must go to Specsavers!
@Robin enjoy your trip to the Coop and Mason!
