Group 7-day waking average?

Morning 🙂 6.4 for me today 🙂 Apologies for being a bit AWOL recently, I have been distracted by a skin cancer that appeared on my finger some time ago and waiting for an operation to remove it. I'd originally noticed it at the start of the pandemic, but thought it was wart and certainly wasn't going to bother the doctor with that at that time. Over the past year it changed appearance and I finally got it looked at 🙂 NHS have been pretty good with referral, biopsy, pre-op and now finally, yesterday I had the op to remove it (also involved a skin graft, hence the forearm dressing) 🙂 Main worry for me is that it's the index finger of my left hand - and I'm left-handed! 😱 Should find out in a few weeks if they got everything, so fingers crossed - it was a squamous cell carcinoma, which has a small chance of spreading.

Now a few weeks of healing and doing nowt - not even the washing up! 🙂

Eek, Northie, wondered where you’d got to! All the best for a quick healing, accept all offers of help, and don’t rush back to the washing up!

Pleased to report that my car passed its MOT yesterday with just a couple of advisories, so really pleased with that. All being well I shouldn't have to do anything but put petrol in it until April, which is when the insurance is due. I'll be celebrating later giving it an outing to the recycling centre to dump a load of stuff that's built up, mostly cardboard packaging from the goodies my wife's been ordering from Hello Fresh - anyone else tried them? - and from the standing desk that our eldest is now using when WFH.

Congrats on HS @Grannylorraine & @ColinUK - unfortunately I can't join you as it's a 5.6 for me this morning

@Northerner - wishing you a speedy recovery and a good outcome.

Have a good day, all.

Morning all - another grey one. It's getting rather tedious!

6.4 this morning with a flat line overnight, 100% in range since midnight, but only 74% in range yesterday, partially due to the bacon, brie and cranberry ciabatta I had for lunch in a cafe yesterday. Had to guesstimate carbs and didn't bolus until it was in front of me.

Yesterday was a good day. Shopping in town is usually hopeless as they have closed any shop you'd want to buy from, but yesterday I got a really nice sweater. Also we booked a holiday which falls over our 40th wedding anniversary next June.

Not much on today, but we will be meeting our friends in the local late afternoon as usual for a Wednesday.

Wishing @Northerner a speedy recovery! Use disposable plates!

@Grannylorraine and @ColinUK congratulations on your HSs.

@Gwynn hope things look up a bit for you.

Have a good day all

Yes, we tried them for a while... we weren't impressed as we found the stuff wasn't as fresh as they claimed and also took longer to prepare and cook than they claimed. Gave up after the trial period.

Morning all and 8.2 for me.
Dodgy digestion I think as I had to treat a hypo after tea. All the carbs seemed to hit in the early hours.

Not sure what today will bring.

Have a good day everyone.

The idea was to encourage our two sons to cook from scratch. Some of the dishes have got the thumbs up, some haven't. You're right about the times, although it's been the prep time that's taken them longer than claimed. Mind you, they are wearing the cooking equivalent of L-plates.

Good morning. 7.2

Beautiful sunny day for which I am grateful as past week has been dire.

Having found and settled, almost, on a property went for a viewing with builder/renovator chum. EEK! Owner, who either had dementia or preferred lies to truth, bitterly resented being asked questions. End result - back on the property search. Nice buyers can't wait to move in here, which would be fine and dandy if I could find a roof to go over my, Wolf, and Peachy's heads. So I have been spending hours on rghtmove/onthemarket etc and then driving round to spot estate agents lies - with 3 local ones I am almost at the stage of not visiting anything they are selling. Sometimes wonder why we pass legislation - they owe a duty to buyers to describe properties accurately so why am i driving miles to look at properties with undisclosed agricultural ties, rotting timber frames, mis-measured acreage?

I started this half an hour ago - then got a weird scammer on the phone claiming to be the Natwest fraud line! Took me a while to realise his was a crook but fortunately had my online account details up whilst he was talking and it didn't make sense - he had claimed £1500 had gone from account and when I asked why it didn't show on line claimed he had put it on hold in some way - got quite angry when I said "sorry - I'm going to ring my bank..." As I did so I froze my card and then fought my way through the wretched robot to a human being. So debit card now cancelled by the real fraud team. What a performance and thank goodness for once I have some cash in the house and I can use my credit card for anything major - but I'll be watching my bank account like a hawk for a week or two. Honestly I sometimes think keeping money, like a Victorian, in a sock under the bed would be better than the modern system...

Hope everyone having a better day than me so far - glad to see a nice cluster of HSs - congratulations all.

Morning everyone, starting today with a 5.1 which is a bit better than the 10.9 I went to bed on last night.
