Group 7-day waking average?

Rabbits, rabbits, rabbits.... not keen on rabbits actually.

Good morning everyone

BG 4.6
BP 112/77
Pulse a respectable 54

Today: church (I'm looking after the sound system today), a walk this afternoon, fish (M&S beer battered cod) for tea, rest.

I will be playing at the church next week. In fact I will be the first person to play along with the new pastor (scary stuff).

The new Pastor was talking to me yesterday evening about changing the sound system to a new digital beast, adding foldback monitors (very needed), getting a new snake, rearranging the main speakers, ditching the computer (for showing the song words)!. Basically, all change and lots of money needed. No mention of where the money will come from tho and no mention of sensitivity to peoples thoughts and feelings. I wonder why he wants to change things so dramatically if they work well now and he has stated that he really likes the praise and worship and the sound. Maybe he can see something that I, with my limited experience, cannot. It will be interesting to see how everyone reacts to any implemented changes.

have a great day today whatever you are doing

I must try to book my diabetic blood test on Monday. It's due in September
Morning a 5.7 for me after a huge chippy tea like I had last week and caused me a few high BG issues ( but no bread) but managed it much better with correction doses.
Did not really want it but my wife was so keen and she did not want me to go for just her and it is delicious.
Lovely day yesterday as dropped wife off to Charity Shop visits in Footballers Wives country whilst I visited a new but small garden centre for a very nice lunch.
Gwynn we are not church goers but would have thought they must love you for what you are able to do to support them as can’t believe there are many churches fortunate enough to have someone like yourself to provide such “ expert and wiling” support.
I appreciate you probably enjoy it but hope the pastor reflects on not just taking your help for granted and remembers how valuable it is and that you do it out of kindness and that it should nit become a chore or outside your comfort zone ( if you don’t want to go there).
Anyway I think you and others do a fantastic support and they are lucky to have you do what you do for the church and community.

PS Gwynn.Agree with Colin that often a new broom wants to sweep away some of old things and to make their own mark.
Whilst change can be a very positive think I am firmly in the camp of take your time in getting a better understanding of the impact any changes may have and be sure they need making before even floating the idea of them and capturing the feedback,an open debate and then decide and move forward

6 this morning for me. Finally managed to build youngest's new bed on Friday (bought in January last year but it took them a while to get around to clearing enough room for it to be done, they finally did recently and Friday I managed to find time to put it together) so today we have a trip to IKEA to get a new mattress for it (and look at beds for oldest as we are moving rooms around a bit again, and they want a mid height cabin bed rather than a high cabin bed now)

A 6.2 for me this morning. OMG it's September already!

Dez

Good morning 6.0 - at lest it is heading in the right direction again.

Chilly, grey and autumnal. Seems reasonable given the date. If that is summer gone then Lord knows what winter is going to be like.

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.

Good morning, HS
was going to take a photo ,with white rabbits in the background
but by the time I used bathroom, got my got this IPad out
to take a photo to prove, unsurprisingly it had gone up to 5.8

millions of things to do for me today
including the dreaded claiming of expenses,I will resist temptation do respond to anything that pops up on work computer, when I log in to claim them, some ironing, clean car, catch up with some friends, poss watch some telly, and eat amongst other things, but right now relaxing in garden with a coffee

Glad you had a great time in Cornwall @Martin.A I have visions of you clearing hoards of slugs from your garden before hanging the washing out (I’m sure they missed you)

have a lovely Sunday everyone
TC 😎

Morning everyone, it’s another grey morning here but it’s a very happy 5.2 for me today, I haven’t had one of those in a long time.

Have a great day everyone and stay well.
.

Morning all. 7.2 on my last day off. Back to work tomorrow and i'm not looking forward to it. The kids are lovely and the people i work with are mainly great but the job just isn't what it used to be, with more pressure and expectations that are definitely not reflected in pay. Oh well, moan over, i shall enjoy today and start thinking about whether retirement is beckoning and can we afford it.

@Gwynn i think the new pastor is probably wanting to make changes to make the church his own but agree with @Wendal that sometimes, waiting and seeing what works best then changing the things that don't work is the right thing to do. Hopefully things will settle and you'll all be happy.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Almost time to put the shorts away and wear long trousers again.
I’m already back in trousers
Mrs G had me shopping online yesterday, for a new electric blanket I haven’t yet found the one needed to match her exact requirements

Morning 7.6 for me
Rest day and its supposed to be heavy rain most of the day so no gardening. Life is about to get busy. Goodwood revival next weekend and the charity have been given a stand at the boat show for the 2 weeks after so it's crazy busy getting things prepared.
Take care everyone.

Morning

8.2 today, had a horrible hypo yesterday, which I do not understand given I had eaten a mini Bakewell tart about an hour before hand. Even after lots of exercise I have never been as low as a flat 3 before, double checked on the other hand just in case it was wrong, but the reason I checked in the first place was suddenly feeling ravenously hungry and incredibly weak and dizzy at the same time, and I was walking home from my knit and natter class at the time, so tested as soon as I got in about 10 mins after, do not know how I actually managed the last bit of the walk home, took me about 10 mins to do about a 4 min walk. I thought it would be high given the mini Bakewell tart.

I can finally say I am going on holiday this month, not until the 9th, but only 5 working days left.

Two things:

1. When the new rabbit and his wife arrived at my parent’s synagogue they decided to change everything. By doing so they upset the board, the caretaker, the congregation and most importantly the ladies guild.
What eventually happened was that publicly everyone agreed with whatever they wanted to do but did their own thing regardless.
Basically the Ladies Guild actually run the synagogue and they aren’t exactly fond of the ad hoc rule changes the rabbits wife suddenly decides upon.
So they just hide what they actually do behind her back and she marvels at how supportive and resourceful the ladies are.
Everyone’s happy!

2: On a personal note I wanted to share something. I’ve shared everything else here but I feel something (I think it’s shame) sharing this here.
This morning I took my first dose of mounjaro. Self funded. 2.5mg
I’ve asked repeatedly for the GP to refer/prescribe me and they won’t.
My BMI is basically 30 so I certainly qualify on that metric but the GP is intransigent about it.
So, after lots of research, I decided to self fund.
Hopefully the combo of the exercise I’m doing, the generally sensible (ish) food choices and the mounjaro will help me silence the food noise as well help me shift some subcutaneous fat.

I’m with the DN tomorrow having bloods drawn for Hba1c and I’ll mention to her that I’m self funding it.

Rabbi not rabbit!! Even though it’s the first of the month!

Good morning I finally made it home yesterday bot i am completely exhausted and slept for 15 hours was 7.8 this morning.
Having terrible trouble with sensors, in the last 2 days 4 were applied and each one dropped off in 6 to 8 hours. Does Abbott UK have an email address? If so can someone give it to me. or their telephone number? Thank you
@miguel81 I’m only new to using these things, but I think yes definitely call them, they sent me a free replacement, mine didn’t fall off, it was just showing a sign of possibly just not working properly, I think it was probably me but hey anyway, I am sure I called them on 0800 170 1177
or it looks like you can message them / request a call back via their website https://www.freestyle.abbott/uk-en/support/contact.html (if that link works) it might not
as I'm when it comes to technology I’m definitely dyslexic

@ColinUK I hope the Mounjaro gives the nudge you are looking for, sorry to hear your GP wasn’t willing to prescribe, as with BMI of 30 I’m thinking you should be eligible, but I guess as your diabetes is under a good control (due to your hard work and funding your CGM) he probably didn't want to tick the box
I’d say definitely raise this with the DSN tomorrow, also they know your taking MJ and it’s on your records
