Before Tea/Evening Meal

It was a 5 for me. I had an inappropriate lunch of some olive bread my sister gave me and watercress followed by at my local cafe a coffee and a croissant. I am surprised. Going to have rest of olive bread, Sis gave me half of a loaf that was a few days old and she hadn't started, with a large plate of roast veg. Have humus but think as veg from an Italian deli looks like also includes chick peas and possibly potatoes that's enough carbs.

Friday evening 6.9 tonight

had some shocking spikes this afternoon (following sausage baguette at lunch time)
unsurprisingly really
only went in to this sandwich shop trying to talk to them about the product I sell
however the waft of freshly baked French bread just hit me..

Evening all, it's a 7.1 for me this fine day.
.

Looked great running around 6 till after 4:00pm. I did some roasties for lunch (naughty I know) but all seemed well but I think the harder and greasy surfaces broke down and BG climbed to 9.3! :(. Fog lifted somewhat but misty all day!

Was 5.0 tonight

A 7.1 for me pre-dinner this fine evening
.

Good evening all, a happy 6.4 for me this fine evening.

Hi 6.6 tonight on this very cold winters evening 😎

My blood sugars have been up and down recently. Haven't worked out a proper plan. Had nurse appointment to check blood pressure now I've finished steroids but declined to check BG as not part of appointment. I had a very sore swollen left index finger. Said see a doctor though she wrote down asked if I could bend it. Don't recall her saying it. Only offer join phone queue Monday. Went into city Saturday to nhs walk in centre which was heaving. After 2 hour wait my blood pressure was 195 It's usually 120. Sent to A and E with osteo mylitis Photo plus xray plus antibiotics. Not sure if infection and or antibiotics spike BG. Got 14.2 Saturday evening. My highest ever.
However, infection is resolving and got 5.2 this evening. Have had a rye and Spelt roll with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Dentist tomorrow.

4.3 This wet and cold afternoon. For dinner tonight cottage pie fresh veg and Apple crumble with yoghurt something warming :D
I don't want to be a type 1 but ... a readingof 4.3 followed by cottage pie and applecrumble is bliss. Last Monday after my language class I went to a cafe and had lentil soup then spotted they had applecrumble and custard. I haven't had apple crumble this year. Returned to the cafe today but did not have a pudding.

It could be the infection or the antibiotics. Which one are you on? I have had a number of antibiotics for my foot issue. The most common side effect is discomfort in your stomach which may put you off eating and make you irregular. Cipro-floxacillin affected the tendons in my hand and I still have trouble with my left ring finger. The worse was Co-trimoxazole which caused headaches, nausea and vertigo - I had to come off them. Probiotic-rich food will help your stiomach. Hope it goes well!

Thank you for the reply you are the reluctant expert on antibiotics. I'd previously had a dose 5 years ago after a dental operation. I'd assumed they would be with food.
On flucloxacillin 500 mg x 4. A one week course. As they were ready package with my name written on I think they must be very standard.

It is definitely getting better but is slightly sore at the moment. Preparation for dentist pm.
