Before Tea/Evening Meal

I’m tonight some people’s favourite number 6.9

which was actually quite surprising really having consumed a bar of chocolate - whilst walking back from hospital this morning - then a white bread sandwich @lunch time (2 Slices of white bread)
then new potatoes with dinner tonight - the potatoes mrs @goodybags served me with a nice piece of Sea bass & Kale

:( To see that patient transition let you down again today Mr “GetYourKicks” @MikeyBikey
I have baked sea bass every Friday, enjoy

I'm having then other piece tonight "fishy friday"

picked up in Tesco a few days ago I was horrified at the price of salmon but these were a decent price

We get fantastic salmon from the fishman who comes round in his van every week: my partner bakes it with crystallised ginger <3.

5.8 tonight, having been out for lunch with a friend. We both had Tuna panini and a pot of tea

5.3

And a 7.4 for me this fine evening.
.

another 6.9 tonight
and it's fishy Friday for me

I've never posted on here before. My readings were a mess recently due to oral steroids. I didn't feel like breakfast so just had a coffee. At 10.21 a belated morning one was 4.7. Went by bus to the city and ate at my new favourite cafe. Cannot always guess the carbs being a type 2. I had fried tomatoes with turmeric olives and pumpkin seeds and two poached eggs plus bedouin tea black with cardoman seed and a homemade roll. It is an Iraqui cafe and she bakes lovely items. As i was leaving i asked about some small items covered in seeds. It was fudge I didnt but any! Walked around shopping eventually stopping in m and s for a coffee. Should have checked before the coffee. Reading about 2,5 hours after food was 10.1
However reading now before supper is 4.9
I'm having an unplanned supper. Due to have chicken or salmon and veg but bought a reduced price sandwich in M and S to keep my carbs up. Egg tomato and salad cream. 46 grams of carbs and poor planning as had egg and tomato for lunch.

Evening all, a happy 5.4 for me on this wet and windy day..
.

I didn’t venture out today in the end, and tonight before evening meal ‘twas a bit high as 8.1
because I cheated this afternoon - following a very healthy late lunch (egg salad)
about an hour later I had two toasted crumpets buttered with Nutella & chopped strawberries, plus I’ve been drinking copious cups of coffee all day

Other half bought some crumpets on Thursday and offered me one but when I checked the carbs it was nearly 20g each, however I weakened and had a quarter with butter and Marmite.

At first - when my crumpets shouted through the freezer door “eat me, eat me, I’ve been in here to long” I was thinking I would spread Marmite on them
but when I reached in the cupboard, the found the what I thought was Marmite it was a Aldi own brand equivalent (that’s just not so pleasant as the real stuff) so now I’m thinking in this cold weather, will use the CopyCat Aldi Spread to make a warming drink or cook something else and use it as a ingredient maybe @Leadinglights hope you enjoyed yesterday’s 😉 Bit of crumpet

I was brought up on Marmite as my dad was vegetarian, so it was always Marmite gravy and added to veggie dishes and on toast.
I also had as a hot drink, probably far too salty for today's reduced salt culture.
