I did take jardiance but unfortunately not for long as I developed DKA a week after starting it. It offers benefits for weight loss and blood sugar but you need to make sure to drink plenty to avoid UTIs and not go too far into a low carb diet as it can cause DKA at normal blood sugars.

Hello. It isn’t advised to eat a low carb diet on jardiance / empagliflozin because of the risk of DKA. I followed a normal carb diet whilst taking empagliflozin and developed DKA within a week of starting. DKA is listed as a side effect so I would take the packet to A&E with ketones that high.
