Good morning all. 5.3 at 6am when I arose. Had breakfast and emptied the dishwasher, I'm on a mission to get my butt moving before 10am!
Had a funny, not ha ha funny, experience at GP surgery yesterday. I decide to walk, just two miles, and the same back, it was warm and I was a bit sweaty when I arrived. Didn't wait long before I was called, full bloods taken by a practice nurse, really easy, found a vein straight away, it's usually a struggle. Pressed down with a cotton wool ball, plaster, and on my way. I wasn't even out of the waiting room when I realised I was bleeding and dripping all over the floor. I had a squirter! Another patient was behind me and went in a blind panic and dashed to reception, this is a huge super duper new super surgery and everywhere is spread out. I was fine, I was just worried about the trail of blood I'd left in my wake! Reception staff aren't allowed to administer plasters so they called the nurse back out, in the meantime lots of paper towels were administrated, they were as much use as a chocolate kettle! Nurse came out, she said she had followed the trail of blood, much pressing and lots of cotton wool and it stopped, new, and bigger, plaster stuck on, sent to loo to get cleaned up and told I wasn't to walk home in case I passed out. I honestly felt fine but rang Mr Eggy to appease them, plus I didn't want to have a two mile trail of blood through a large housing estate. Left plaster on all night, I've just ripped it off, what a blooming mess, bruised and lumpy. I can only assume the exercise and heat had a bearing on it, but I can't help thinking she must have been a bit rough or the needle was too big, and it was me apologising for making a mess!
Quiet day today, a walk and some housework/laundry.
Have a fab day.
