Group 7-day waking average?

Morning. 6.4

Theatre yesterday, The White Chip - Southwark Playhouse, was good. Bold, inventive, funny 3 hander about alcoholism, addiction and recovery.

Doesn’t sound like a bundle of laughs but it really was laugh out loud funny.

Sewing Bee and Bake Off Pro’s yesterday were both delightful but I was a bit disappointed with the final showcase challenge. Yes it was clearly tonnes of work but it didn’t seem as showcase-y as others have been this series. Well deserved win though!

Echocardiogram this morning.

And would anyone like to predict my Euromillions winnings from yesterday’s draw?

Morning all. 5.8.

Had a lovely relaxing day yesterday, I filled the bird feeders, read my book and went for a walk. We ended up walking to Tesco for Mr Eggy to upgrade his phone. it was taking ages so I went for a wander, two books later...could have bought more but not enough room in my rucksack as I also purchased a bottle of red! 5.5 miles under the belt. I slept like a log.
More of the same today except I have an appointment at GP surgery for full bloods to check my platelets again, they were high back in May.

@Wendal we are also going to North Yorkshire in September, we've booked an apartment above a teashop in Gunnerside, Swaledale area. That would be right up your street! 10% discount too, as the apartment and teashop is owned by the same person.

Congratulations to our HSers yesterday, @PattiEvans and @Lauren, ( I love green, I would have every room green if I could, so far kitchen, bathroom and living room are shades of green, living room soon to be dark green.)
@ColinUK I really enjoyed Bake Off and Sewing Bee last night. Pleased with the results of both. £3.50!

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

07:19 BS 5.2! Yay! A nice surprise! :D

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m hungry this morning & since I already have a, very thick I believe you call them a “doorstop” al la Lady Hardcastle, ham & cheese sandwich made, leftover from yesterday that I couldn’t finish 2, I’ll munch that first & catch up afterwards! Munch, munch, munch! Just a quick word to say that I discovered ASDA’s Multigrain bread last week & went for it again! I love the taste of in as bread & butter or sandwiches AND tastes EVEN better, unusually for this type of bread, toasted with butter, of course! 😛

Morning all a lovely great sunny day here. Got 8 hours sleep last night feel much better for it no pycosis at all. Have dentist today first appointment for dental implants eeeekkkk.
5.1 for me well chuffed with that
You all have a good safe happy day, as always extra special wishes to anybody on their own and or struggling
Love gail xxxxx

Morning all, 6.8 here. Well, I made it rain yesterday, I’d just reached the furthest point of my hack when the heavens opened. It even rained at home while I was out - a whole 0.6mm, according to our neighbour's weather station. Doubt it’s refilled the water butts.
@ColinUK £5.65. I enjoyed Sewing Bee and the Bake off last night, though I was sorry the two older blokes from the catering college had to drop out before the semis, it left it a bit sparse for the final couple of weeks. Still, they trained the woman from the winning team, so have a share in the victory.

So far your guesses are way short of my winnings! Way, way short! Percentage wise anyways

Morning all twas 5.8 for me this morning. Spent an hour yesterday crafting an exquisitely detailed letter to Santander complaints department ready to post today.
Congratulations on your HS Lanny.

Yummy! Had my doorstop sandwich & enjoyed it a lot! 😛:D I only ate it as bread & butter last week & surprisingly lasted PAST the use by date & was going a bit stale so, tried it as toast thinking if it’s too awful I’ll chuck the last 3 rounds of it: LOVED the taste; ALMOST finished it with just 1 heal left before it went mouldy & lasted a total of 6 days! So, ordered it again this week’s delivery being yesterday & made my usual, got sandwich meat of ham this week’s, 2 sandwiches as I would eat 1.5 sandwiches with crusts & 3 without crusts & the multigrain bread is thicker, with only 7 rounds & the heels, & found that 1 sandwich was plenty. Bagged the other one in the fridge & I grabbed it first thing after the loo earlier & back to sit on the bed & eat it but, couldn’t resist posting my surprise HS first! :D

You CAN skip the rest about a Chinese program; I won’t know! 😉:D

I’m now going to watch, not live anymore as it was at 5am, on the app this week’s Great Escape 7 main episode. I’ve been watching Great Escape since 2022 with GE4 & I find it absolutely fascinating even though some puzzles, in Chinese, go over my head. I thought it was purely a Chinese thing but, apparently it’s global & it’s called Escape Rooms! You can get them in London if you’ve ever heard of them @ColinUK ?

You & a group of people are locked in an Escape Room & you have to work out the puzzles to escape the room together! You get things like tense situations or horror that scare you. 😱

Of course Great Escape being a TV Show does it all on a MUCH grander scale & you get entire movie production backlot sets of whole towns, villages, islands & caves etc. that you wouldn’t get in the average Escape Rooms games & the team starts of blindfolded, shackled & have to find the keys to free themselves then, get to work solving the puzzles to get out!😱😛:D

It looks like fun but, scary too! 😛😱

Yes, I too was disappointed about the older guys.

Good morning - 7.0

Well done @Lanny on your HS. Mine was a near miss at 5.1. 🙂
@ColinUK £2

Yep that sounds right up my street and when we stayed in Stow on the Wold 2 weeks ago we had that arrangement of a room above a coffee shop.
We found a really good place to take 2 of our dogs about 18 months ago so that sorts those out and we either take the other one with us or we leave it at home and my daughter stays over.
This time we are going away on our own and we thought about the coast so Whitby but my wife suggested more inland so we chose Helmsley a very nice market town.
This suits us as a nice base and we like to be very flexible re eating etc so having a place where we can walk out or stay in and eat is great.
We sometimes do self catering but we do like being served and spoilt as such a rarity at home ( well my wife anyway as I am so well looked after) so a nice hotel does just fine.
I do love North Yorkshire and would be happy to move there but as our family our all close by it won’t happen so make do with next best thing - holidays.

Morning

A trip over into the 6s this morning with a 6.3, not a good day eating wise yesterday, and meeting a friend for lunch, so need to make better choices than I did yesterday evening when I didn’t fancy the salmon I had bought so ended up picking at bits including biscuits.

Congratulations to @Lanny on your HS.

@ColinUK £2.90.

A really flat line overnight which is good. But this morning BG reading was 8.4 so I still haven’t got my evening carbs and insulin dose sorted. But going in the right direction.

Had an appointment with my GP yesterday afternoon. They’ve started seeing patients once a year to discuss overall health. What a sensible thing. Double the usual time, and could raise any health issues I liked, not a single issue quick appointment.

On the way back home when walking across the common was then rung by my Diabetic specialist, which was unexpected. He explained he had looking at my request to supply Dexcom G7 on the NHS and after reconsidering will put forward the case for supply again. It seems my frequent night time hypos and lack of physical signs of an impending hypo made the difference. Fingers crossed. This may mean I shouldn’t drive, but as I no longer have a car and only very rarely hire a car that’s OK.

Have a good day.

Nick

@Lanny escape rooms are a global phenomenal but I’ve never been to one.

I’m going to blow my winnings on almost all of a cinema ticket I think.

Morning everyone. Another grey day but it’s a happy 5.0 so no worries here.

Have a great day everyone and stay well.

Morning all and 4.8 for me.

Unintentional nasal test yesterday due to spending most of the day persuading the PA to work well enough for a rehearsal. One more session with the help of someone who knows what they're doing should fettle it.

Have a good day everyone.
