Group 7-day waking average?

6.6 for me today and a slack washing line graph that didn't touch the red so very happy with that, especially after a shared portion of fish and chips last night at 9pm after we finished exercising horses.
Going over to my sister's today to trim her horse's feet. She has a really bad chest infection and spent over 3 hours in A&E yesterday despite a 7 day course of anti bs and steroids with no improvement. She is normally fit and healthy so it has been quite worrying. Anyway, her friends at the livery yard are looking after her GGs for her but Skwerty needs his feet trimmed regularly and Jack's might need a bit of work too. She helps me trim my 4, so it is the least I can do to repay the favour. Then it is home to help Ian drive his horses and then feed and tidy up at my yard before bed.... and I might fit some food in somewhere..... not sure what or when but at least I have had breakfast.
 
5.1 this morning, which has dawned - guess what? - bright and sunny, though without the wall-to-wall blue sky we've had for the last few days. My wife and I went for a long walk yesterday - 6 miles according to my step counter - but are paying for it this morning as we've both woken up a bit stiff and achy. I feel a bit less so now, having been moving around for a while.

Back on summer house painting duty today, having had a break yesterday. My wife has finished stripping all the wallpaper from the hall, stairs and landing having decided it was time it was redecorated. She's planning to start sanding the walls today, ready for painting. We thought we might have to get them reskinned but apart from needing little fine surface Polyfilla here and there (no wisecracks about stuffing parrots, please) they look OK.

Garden looking very Spring-like at the moment with our flowering cherry tree a mass of pink flowers and our lilac and wedding cake tree not far behind. At least the forsythia isn't having to provide the only colour now. Masses of trees in blossom down at our local park, too.

Congrats on the HSs @Barrowman and @gail2 - I almost joined you.

Mainly sunny here still with the odd spit.

Once again I'm.not sure what the day will bring but hopefully I won't have to wrestle with the recalcitrant software I think I fettled yesterday.

Good morning folks. The sun is disappearing behind the clouds but there's a good breeze so I emptied the laundry basket again.
7.3 this morning so bg is slowly improving.

Back in the garden this morning then a bit of shopping to get some bits for a Mexican meal this evening. Hubby made a chilli yesterday. It always tastes better the next day. Making a salsa and serving a few accompaniments and Sol beer if I can get it. I will probably have a shandy with diet 7up.
Still the company will be good and the conversation will flow along with the alcohol.

Good morning it’s looking busy on the 6.6 step today as I’m joining several others
FOTFS sent it up to 9.6 (after just a few minutes) I’m thinking maybe I forgot my tea time insulin yesterday / Ive been on a reduced dose again, plus over the last few days maybe not been taking other meds, hopefully :thankyou: those few few days won’t impact my Hba1c & other bloods that are due tomorrow morning, as I’m meeting the vampire at 8am

I may have got this wrong but see that you appear to be Type 1 and if so you are likely to require insulin rather than any non insulin medication.
Can you clarify if you may be Type 2 where I can understand the relevance of Metaformin or are you on insulin as well.
 
Good morning. 7.3 not a very happy bunny this morning. Struggled to get transport to hospital clinic on Friday but local charity came good. Discharged Wednesday late afternoon,appointment for clinic letter came on Saturday...good that I had rung hospital. The nhs is a shambles. Transport for immobile woman who lives alone ? No. Too late to book it and phone number was wrong - it electronically urged me to donate blood or an organ...
They cut my cast off and fitted 2 braces. One goes above and below knee with a dial to set the angle. The other is a huge square boot over broken ankle. I also keep the brace over the other broken knee. I defy anyone to sleep in that lot. Knobs, ve!cro, leg wobble....pain worse than when I did first injury. Surely I am not meant to sleep in the boot? Only I cant reach it so taking it on and off isnt feasible.
Nontheless I am glad to be home. The builders have jury rigged the WC so I can get to it. A neighbour has loaned me a wheelchair,dpd having decided nobody was in despite 6 people and an ambulance being visible from the road....
What I love about this site is the empathy. Congratulations on success and joyous events, sympathy when it all seems dark, encoragement and kind advice. Glad to see the anniversaries and the HSs and that eggyg has had a less stressful night. It makes putting up with a bad patch easier. I'll be mobile again in a month or two and meanwhile I've got lots of design work on the renovations to keep me occupied. And that is luckier than many on here.

6.0 for me today.

Very little planned. We have a delivery from Mr Tesco (that's what the kids used to call any shopping delivery drivery, regardless of which shop they were from - this one actually is from Tesco - but might be a Ms. not a Mr, as it has been a couple of times recently!) Anyway, I have shopping being delivered!

Otherwise, just a relaxed day here, enjoying the ongoing sunshine.

6.2 but can be expected after Anniversary meal out, I can honestly say the Steak at Miller and Carter was the best ive ever tasted. more work in the garden today putting shelves up in the new shed then hopefully we can get all the tools etc put away hope you all have a lovely day

7.1 after a night and early morn trying to get a new sensor to play ball, I was trying the last Libre 2 that I had, it failed miserable after a good six hours of trying, eventually it fell off, so I put on a Libre 2+, waited an hour earlier, then it worked first time - a blessed relief!
Went to to the Abbot website and filled out a form to get a replacement, keeping the defunct one just in case they want it back.

BGs have, largely, ok for the past three days after increasing the morning & evening basal to 1 1/2 times increase - it's definitely working, and no sign of a hypo!

I've just been for a ten-minute daily walk to the end of the road, I may have mobility problems but I still refuse to give in to them. S***ing voices!

The watch needs an iPhone to pair with and through that it can do and monitor everything.

If you do opt for a cellular connected one then it needs to be with the same provider who has your iPhone account. Not many companies in the UK offer the watch SIM card either.

I’m on my second Apple Watch and will likely upgrade it in the next two years but I’d not consider a cellular connected version as without still does text, notifications, Apple Pay, Google maps etc plus fitness and health stuff perfectly well.

Interesting! Soooh, that’s what an Apple watch is for & can do? I’ve never seen the point of having an Apple Watch & I only had a look at them at the only Apple Store I’ve been to: Festival Walk Hong Kong in 2015, went about 5/6 times that summer when I bought my first iPhone & iPad mini; I asked the Apple Store guy “What does an Apple Watch do?” & then, spaced out as he went on & on with it all going over my head! o_O:rofl: They’re all so big, even the smallest ones, for my tiny hands & wrists!
 
I use my smart watch mostly for seeing my BG levels, Libra doesn’t support straight to watch, so this this for me comes via a app called GlucoDataHandler
also love the the step counting function, plus it’s great for sleep tracking, viewing messages and answering calls, I expect you can also make calls with it being connected via Bluetooth to my phone,
watch connects to the phone via Bluetooth & WiFi, but calling From the watch is not something I’ve actually tried yet, Ive a Android smart watch (Samsung) as I have Android phone

I’ve only got small hands too and thin wrists. I must say I’m a tad worried!

Hi Wendal, yes I’m Type 1 currently on Novo Rapid before meals and Toujeo in the morning for long term. I’ve been also prescribed Metformin for the last few years which I take before breakfast and supper. They do seem to even out my BS levels and if I forget to take one my level really rises. I’m using Dexcom G7 sensors (I upgraded myself from Dexcom One+ having abandoned FreestyleLibre) and now have an AppleWatch and an iPhone. But although my time in range is quite good at around 70%, the profile is increasingly “lumpy” with too many +10 periods. I’m seeing the consultant on the 23rd to discuss …

I was diagnosed a long time ago (62 years!) and I’ve had so many treatment changes in that time that I struggle to remember when things happened. I should have kept a diary … or maybe it’s best to forget. The original syringes were pretty awful.

There has been a move to put people with Type 1 on Metformin where it is thought it might improve their control, I’ve come across it before, but can’t remember where. I found this on line just now.
