Wordle - Quordle Thread

Look after it for me @MikeyBikey.... No carving your initials into it or anything.... at least not unless it includes a heart!..... and definitely not that Nicole's initials!
 
Ended up with a grand total of 88, even though I didn’t finish Octordle. No idea what that’s about. Better luck to you all - it’s a bit tricky today.

Will I think I might be retaining the Spoon of Wood. After a brilliant start with Wordle each game became more of a struggle! :( Was actually lucky to finish Octordle as had three possible words but decided I had never heard two in recent times let alone US films and TV not that I watch much!

I failed Octordle too, though it gave me a score. Not sure it should count though,

Mikey I am afraid that you missed your chance to carve anything on it, so hand it over and the 3 of us flunkers will have to share today, unless we are going to count failure scores to sort out who was the worst of the worst.

Excellent start with Wordle, decent enough Quordle but have had to take a break from Octordle for a brain booster caffeine fix! :rofl:

So a longer break than intended as I got a phone call from a friend who is working today. Once I got going again not too bad apart from the last word on Octordle that ate up giies 11 and 12!

Well I set a new world record that none of you are ever going to beat ...... or probably try to beat for that matter....

Quordle X X X X .... Yes that's right folks, I had a quadruple fail.
I got fixated on the third word from the start as I had 2 letters from my first word, but by the third guess I somehow ignored one of them and I then used up almost all my lives trying to guess an impossible word. When I eventually tore myself away from it I already only had 3 lives left so wasn't able to complete the puzzle and I just became totally slap happy. My excuse is that I had a pop up which partly obscured my screen that I couldn't get rid of and it was partly covering the letter I missed on the keyboard options but it was clear enough in the actual puzzle above.
Octordle with one life left and a score of 64.

I am sure this failure says a lot about how my mind works. I am very much an all or nothing person!
 
Thank for the "stars" (no emoji here) guys. I had a bit of a rough afternoon (see separate post) but came back to get 8 in University Challenge in mainly the first half. I had never heard of all the kingdoms around a thousand years ago or those obscure writings centuries ago. Think my only chance is Mastercard specialising in Diabetes Treatment Since 1920! :(

Need more coffee as just took 6 goes on Wordle!
 
Failed Octordle! So many guesses that I thought must be correct, but there was another word I’d overlooked, or I anagrammed the correct one.
