Wordle - Quordle Thread

My first disaster of the year!

Wordle to the wire for 6
Quordle 8 6 9 X = DNF
Octordle for 63

Clearly my brain was not firing on all cylinders this morning!
 
Pretty dismal result (5+27+65=97) and lucky to finish at that.

They were all tricky for me today but particularly Quordle so I feel lucky to have scraped through them all.

Wordle in 4
Quordle 6 8 9 4 = 27
Octordle for 62

Gives me a total of 93
 
I forgot to post yesterday but as I share with my family as well I can looked them up! :rofl:

So yesterday (4/01/2025) they all went to the wire (and Octordle started so well).

Wordle in 6
Quordle to the wire for 24 (9, 7, 3, 5)
Octordle to the wire for 59

Total Score 89!,
 
Now finished today - had to think hard about the lat few words in Octordle and went the wrong way on the last word (Word 7) to miss a under 60 score. Wordle I was very lucky as I only had one letter two goes in and threw in common unused consonants.

Worldle in 3
Quordle in 8 for 23 for (7, 8, 3, 5)
Octordle in 12 for 60

Total Score 86!
 
@MikeyBikey Do we have a starter word for tomorrow's Weekly Challenge? I am pretty sure it is your choice.

I knew we would regret it being your choice Mikey..... even if it does mean we expand our vocabulary! 🙄 I can't see that word being very helpful, but at least we are all in the same boat!

Well, my usual pedestrian effort. Jumped in rashly in Octordle with a couple of dead certs which turned out not to be, and only just scraped home.
Wordle in 4
Quordle in 6,8,5,7 = 26
Octordle in 71
Total 101

VIBEX weekly in 4,8,7,6 = 25
 
Pretty dismal result here also (3+25+68=96). Lucky to finish to be honest as it went to the wire in Octordle.

Mediocre result and I really had to work very hard for it. Nothing jumped out at me and maybe that was an advantage otherwise I might have ended up like @Robin except I would almost certainly have gone one better and DNF'd, but the cogs turned very slowly this morning to grind me out a safe result in the end.

Gives me 85.

As expected VIBEX was not a helpful word but made it home with 3 7 6 8 = 24
 
Did Wordle and Quordle when I was awake earlier and went straight into the Weekly Challenge and despite two placed letters in the first word ending mainly in ED or ER and as I was yawning decided to sleep on it rather than slip on it! :rofl:

Octordle 11 for 59

Total Score 85!

Weekly Challenge in 8 for 24 (4, 8, 7, 5)

So at the moment I share the lead with @rebrascora 🙂
 
Good one for me with a 3 on Wordle, a Quordle 3, 7, 5, 6 for 21, and an Octordle 51 for a total of 75.

Weekly I got lucky with word 3. It was just a "let's get some other letters in play" but hit paydirt. Ended with 6, 8, 3, 5 for 22.
 
Started well, but luck ran out (2+X+61=DNF).
