However, now is the time that I have to start minding!
Hello from London...I'm Sarah, not so newly diagnosed Type 2 (was diagnosed in June 2015) but being brutally honest only just starting to try and get my head around everything now, I think I've been in denial a bit.
I've been trying to get information from lots of places, read the Diabetes for Dummies book, parts of the Type 2 Diabetes book by Dr Charles Fox and Dr Anne Kilvert and the 100 things I wish I'd know book...which is published by this site.
I've attended the DESMOND course back in October - which I found 50% helpful and 50% not so helpful...and my GP has put me on Forxiga (Dapagliflozin) as I couldn't tolerate Metformin even in slow release form.
I know all the things I should be doing...I'm struggling in my head to get myself motivated and I don't know why, that makes me feel even more frustrated with myself, which seems to then put me in a circle of feeling bleurgh.
Anyway, reading many posts on here and reading other people's threads has given me a medium sized kick up the behind to hopefully start afresh and give myself a new start.
So, even when you type stuff to other people on here, you're helping many others who haven't become members yet - Thanks!
I look forward to some posts, and maybe a bit of banter on here in the future...and maybe I'll be heading towards the Nirvana bit soon and leaving the Nevermind behind me!
