Group 7-day waking average?

5.9 on a sunny Berkshire morning, albeit with a cool northerly wind. Hope there's no repeat of yesterday when the early 'stiff breeze' turned decidedly wilder.

Just my wife and me for tea yesterday so we decided to eat out. Left the car at home and walked there (30 minutes) and then had to call our eldest when we ready to head home as it started to rain. Not heavily, but enough to get you pretty wet during a 30-minute walk. Chicken Caesar Salad on the menu, one of my favourites, so I had that.

It's Home Alone Wednesday 🙂 as everyone's at work. Usual chores - Sainsbury's, Wednesday's a washday, and then I can put the finishing touches to our summer house and do some garden maintenance.

Congratulations on your HS @Grannylorraine and great news on your grandson's driving test @eggyg

Whatever your plans, enjoy your day.

Morning all. A happy 4.9 for me on this grey day, a least that wind from yesterday has gone.

Have a great day folks, and stay safe.

10.7 is the only reading I got this morning, probably comes from the midnight munchies! I had a mad moment of forgetting the daily routine of taking basal & checking BGs early on - once again over-sleeping.

Much warmer today and the sun has put in an appearance, thought it'd be raining again - been a funny couple of days as I found on my walks.

Did the three encounters (probably the wrong word) today - went to an ATM, got strip plug sockets for my OH and went for a diet coke at a craft bar in town. Got back and the builder had really progressed with the plastering of the kitchen and back bedroom.

Congratulations on todays' HS @Grannylorraine and celebrations are in order @eggyg on your grandson's driving test.

Afternoon all.11 4 for me this morning.Think that wasn't right .Low alarm went off at 5.30 .Had two jbs and ten minutes later high alarm goes off .Think I must have been lying on it .After that I couldn't get a glucose reading..Should have done a blood test..When I take this sensor out next week ,the needle will be like a fish hook .. I'm not happy with putting the sensor on back off my arm ..That's where the nurse said it should go. Does any of you good folks put it on the inside of your arm ? Congratulations to @ Granny Lorraine on your Hs today.Enjoy you day people

A couple of people I was with last weekend who had them, had them in very different places. It may depend on where the fleshy bit of your arm is and where it is less likely to get caught when you are doing things.

I put my arm out straight in front at right angles, palm up. Then bend arm so fingers touch my shoulder with elbow pointing up and stick it down from my elbow 2 - 3"

Morning all from a misty Wetherby. 7.1.

We popped to Barnard Castle yesterday for lunch. What a lovely little town. More cafes than you could shake a stick at. And, before anyone asks, we didn’t get our eyes tested!
Early start today, it’s an hours drive to Wentworth Woodhouse and the flower show starts at 10am, I was reading “horror” stories of people missing a lot of the show yesterday as they were stuck in the queue for parking! We’re hoping to set off no later than 8, fingers crossed no one else has thought of that! Luckily breakfast is from 7am.

Have a great day everyone.

Did you bump into any Covid era political figures?

@eggyg Set of now! Brian can do his hair and make up when he’s there. You look gorgeous without any of that stuff to fuss about of course!

And enjoy!

6.8 this AM. Not quite a Sex Tape but definitely Sex Tape adjacent.

Volunteered all day yesterday at QB which was fun. We had a volunteer picnic afterwards which was also fun. I nipped be into Waitrose and picked up some Fever Tree alcohol free drinks (2 x gin and tonic and 2 x basically an aperol spritz) had one of each and they are lovely.

Spoke with the GP yesterday as well. Different doctor. He said that stage one heart block rarely causes side effects but accepted that the presyncope I experience could be related. He also agreed that a referral to cardiology for a scan would be worthwhile so that’s being expedited. Then reassured me that routine holter wearing, probably once every two years, to check my atrioventricular heart block would be a thing from now on. So that’s all positive.

Today involves gym, collecting various DPD and UPS deliveries from various local pick up points (all within 5 minutes walk away) and then heading off to Sadler’s Wells East for Songs of the Bulbul this evening. I’ll be accompanied by a friend who doesn’t come with me half as often as my regular culture buddy does so it’ll be good to catch up.

Talking of catching up, I’m up to date with Sewing Bee and Bake Off Pro’s and already have my fav sewing folk who I’ll be cheering for this series. And I’ll make a point of going to Crumbs and Doily’s again soon as they were robbed! Just because they consistently fail to realise that they needed to push themselves way out of their comfort zone to stay in the competition.

Morning all
Looks like it's going to be a nice day in this Norfolk town. I'm up nice and early mind you i get up at 5am most days now. Best part of the day as far as. I'm concerned. I must be feeling good as1 have taken time to do my make up and hair for which it can blow a ten force gale I have that much hairspray on it that it's set solid. Want to go out on Indie today as feel the need to go out in the fresh air and just enjoy it.
BG was 6.6
Hope you all have a good day,,special best wishes to everybody especially anyone on their own or struggling.
Take care all
Lots of ❤️
Gail

Morning all. No idea on waking reading as i jumped out of bed with bad cramp. By the time i could check it was 6.7, now 5.4. This was after a sudden unexplained spike to 13 and overnight correction.

Today i've got the dentist at 10.30, going to a friend's for lunch, then calling in to see mum, before picking up a prescription on the way home. Its currently raining here, though nothing waa forecast. Its supposed to be 23°, feeling like 26°. I did some washing overnight to hang out before i go so i hope it stops before then.

@eggyg i hope you miss any traffic and enjoy the show.
@ColinUK have a good time out with your friend.
@gail2 enjoy hour trip out on Indie.

Levels have just dropped to 4.7 so off to sort them out now. Have a good day everyone.

Morning folks

5.0 on the nose for me. Rain overnight which the garden will be thankful for. But set to be a sunny day once the cloud burns off, I think.

A 5.3 for me today.

Dez

Morning 5.3 today, although according to my Libra had I woken an hour earlier would’ve been a HS
Yesterday looks like I didn’t post, I’m sure it was a 6.9 (should’ve remembered that)

congrats :party:on yesterdays HS @Grannylorraine :star:
also great to see your grandson passed his driving test @eggyg

Managed to speak to a GP on the phone yesterday regarding a basic medication review, test strips have been re authorised, a few months ago they dropped off my prescription repeat order, also he has prescribed something I’m currently buying over the counter, to counteract a slightly unsocial side effect I’m having of Mounjaro / my recent different dietary habits Mrs @goodybags is still calling me MrBurpy
overall I think I’ve got on well with Mounjaro although sometimes wonder if I’m eating a well balanced diet, a few years ago I was referred to a dietitian and still able to reach out to her for advice so might do
also regarding specialists I can speak to might see if I can see my Phsio we left it that I’m still able to see her without being re-reffered following the ankle surgery I had just over 2 years ago, I know I need to get another exercise program sorted

I’ve noticed since I started taking that small dose of insulin again my TIR Is back up to 95 (last 7 /14 days)

Enough waffling from me
I Need to shower, have some breakfast and get out to meet some possible new clients shortly

TC & HAGD 😉

Morning and a 6.7 for me after a correction dose before bed.
Really busy but nice day yesterday and lovely lunch in Caerwys( tiny and only one place to eat but is good).
Going to drop wife off at a local garden centre whilst I have a Meeting nearby which is so nice, she does not come out with me more often which I wish she would but perfect opportunity to do it today as very local.
@eggyg enjoy your RHS day and all have a great day.

Forgot to post these from the Design and Disability exhibition at the V&A the other day.
Didn’t take many pics at all but these items stood out.
