Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning folks. 7.8 this morning. The sun is blazing already. Doing a quick catch up with the forum posts while drinking a nice cup of tea after breakfast.
Livestock duties this morning. Chicken coop needs cleaning out and my beehives need checking. A few friends from the local beekeepers club have lost colonies to wasp predation so I am a bit worried. There are traps up but we have loads of wasps this year.

Congratulations on your HS @Lisa65
Hope your knee is feeling a bit better @gail2 so you can get out on Indie
Enjoy your break in the Cotswolds @Wendal
Beautiful picnic spot @Robin
Your grandchildren will treasure all those memories of adventures with you @eggyg . I remember time spent with my grandparents far more than any gifts they bought me.

Have a great Thursday everyone. Keep cool and hydrated and take care x

I'm joining @Kopiert & @Bloden on the 6.6 step this morning on this gorgeously warm morning (I'll be eating my words in a couple of days!), slightly overcast, just pleasant.

The builder has started again in earnest, banging, ripping and shovelling since around 8am - I woke at 6 and promptly fell asleep again until 7-30, whereupon I got up in a hurry and bleary-eyed to face the morning. I asked the builder what was the agenda today - he said the back-bedroom and the kitchen windows.

Congratulations to @Lisa65, @MeeTooTeeTo & @Grannylorraine on this morning's House Specials.

Have a good day whatever your plans.

Morning all, 6.2 today.
It's supposed to be 27 degrees here today. I'm glad my room is on the ground floor, just went upstairs to see a teacher and it felt like a sauna in her room!
Last full day of school. I'm so happy to have the holidays with 7yo to look forward to, even though we don't have much to spend on trips or days out and not much planned, it will be great to have some proper time together.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Morning all. Slept very badly last night thinking i had been a victim of a scam call. Rang ActionFraud this morning but they said it didn't seem like a scam, just an odd phone call. At 9am i rang the caller and they confirmed it was them and not a scam. I had a bit of a rant at them not making themselves clear and ringing me minutes before they closed so i couldn't check straight away. Anyway, all sorted and i can breath again.

Levels after the takeaway we had last night spiked despite pre bolussing and splitting dose, needed a 5u correction overnight and another 5u this morning with no breakfast and its still 11.5!! Stress i'm assuming.

Today i'm off to mums soon so she can have a shower (she's frightened of falling if she's on her own in the house) then meeting my best friend for some lunch.

Congrats on the HS @Lisa65 and @Grannylorraine.
@Robin what a place to have a picnic!
@eggyg enjoy the BBQ.
@Lauren happy holidays!

Have a good day everyone. Its going to be a hot one, 31° here!

6.2 for me but almost immediately went up to 7,2 and stuck there, so have had to jab more insulin if I want to eat the breakfast sitting in front of me. I'm having apricot with my yoghurt, mixed seeds and cinnamon today as I had a windfall fruit yesterday waiting to be collected that was a bit bruised and needed eating up but they will be ripening thick and fast soon. There are some absolute whoppers on the tree, easily the size of oranges and indeed people walking past sometimes stop and ask if it is an orange tree, especially now I have pruned it back to allow the fruits to ripen so you can see them very clearly against the house wall.

Now that I have had time to check the forum I am a bit concerned that we haven't had an update from @PattiEvans Really hope you are OK Patti and your repatriation to UK went smoothly.

All blue sky and sunshine here at the moment and the forecast says that's the way it's going to be for the next few days. 30 degrees this afternoon, it says.

Congrats @Lisa65 and @Grannylorraine on your HSs this morning, and @khskel & @Pam123 on yours yesterday. I came close - it's a 5.1 for me this morning.

@rebrascora - PattiEvans was viewing this thread an hour ago, hopefully from home.

Usual Thursday swim before lunch and then I need to start stripping the old felt off our summer house roof. I've had the new felt in the shed for a few days so it's about time I got on with it, especially as we have a prolonged dry spell coming up.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all and 4.3 for me.Dipping in and out of the red all night. Surely nothing to do with moving speakers, amps and other assorted hardware last night.

Looks like we will need at least a day to set it all up.

There's an exhibition of ice age art at the local museum which may be on the agenda for this aft.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning

5.2 today and off to the vampires, then round to see mum, she only lives just round the corner to the little community hospital where I am having blood taken today.

Congratulations to @Lisa65 on your HS today

Congratulations to @Pam123 on yesterday’s HS..
Congratulations on your HS today
How is your mum coping in the hot weather?

Morning all. 🙂 Clickety-click, 6.6.

A nice start to my 17th diaversary. Diagnosed after my GP sent me to A&E with typical symptoms - high BG, weight loss, thirsty, peeing for Wales, thrush, a cough I couldn’t shift. My brothers thought it was hilarious - ‘juvenile’ diabetes at the age of 41, hahaha. Thanks guys.
Happy 17th Diaversary @Bloden

Morning everyone. A happy 4.7 for me today.

Have a good day folks, and keep out of the sun...

5.4 this morning.

We moored last night by the Cheshire Cat pub in Christleton and moved this morning right into the centre of Chester, about 2 hours cruising. Staying here to meet my wife’s sister who is coming up by train and joining us for a couple of days. This afternoon we will move on up the canal a bit towards Ellesmere Port ready for a cheeky trip to Cheshire Oaks tomorrow!

Here’s us moving off this morning from Christleton.

Congratulations to @Lisa65, @MeeTooTeeTo & @Grannylorraine on your HS’s today!

Have a great day everyone and stay cool!

I’m in a frugal group on FB and I’m certain I saw something about a free National Trust day pass. I’ll try and find it for you. My grand children love baking with me when the weather is rotten. Even if it’s just something simple like chocolate crispie cake, they don’t like cleaning up though. In my (vast) experience, three children and seven grandchildren, they’re usually just happy not to be at school! When my girls were little we loved a lazy morning in our PJs. I think too much is made of constant entertainment in the long summer school holidays. As you say it’ll just be nice to be together.

Not read through everyones's posts so hope all OK and no one has had any disasters and fingers crossed that @PattiEvans is now home safe and sound and had a smooth journey.
Sorry folks, meant to post in the thread days ago, but things haven't gone smoothly and I just haven't had time. Very long story very short... got home on Tuesday afternoon, since then done nothing but visit Drs surgery (me dressings off, Julian not well with cough etc) and chase round trying to get prescriptions for stuff the chemists have apparently run out of. Now off to a chemist 8 miles away.... as ones in town are useless. Will start to post regularly from Sunday.

Relieved to hear you are home @PattiEvans but so sorry you are having a real runaround for medication when you should be resting and recuperating and very concerned that Julian how has a respiratory problem. Hope it isn't anything too serious. Take your time and only post when you are comfortable and fit to do so, but thanks so much for the update. Take good care of each other. X
