Group 7-day waking average?

I went to a wedding reception last night at the Greaves Park in the city. It was a good do, I took photo's of the happy couple to send to my OH in London, she was impressed that is was so informal - no sign of penguins.
I was banned from bringing penguins to a wedding once. This was a stuffed Tux, not a tux. It was the Linux mascot at the time, and they'd been to several weddings amongst our friendship group already. In fact one couple issued formal invitations, place settings and a cuddly toy fish each.

One (former) friend wanted her wedding to be extremely pretentious and serious and stipulated "absolutely no penguins". So Tux stayed in the car park, sitting on the dashboard of our camper van.

Hubby subtly wore this tie, but we reckoned the bride would be too preoccupied to notice, and the guests who spotted it would just chuckle to themselves.

What we hadn't imagined was that the wedding reception would involve an excruciatingly pretentious ceremony of bubbly drinking with a string quartet on the lawn, and that the couple and all the guests would process from the hotel to the lawn, through the car park, right past the van with cheerful
penguin in full view through the windscreen...

9.1

Edit: no thunder on the south coast either but we have a refreshing breeze today

Morning all, a little higher than usual at 7.1. We finished off the trifle last night and despite taking 2 units of trurapi again it obviously wasn't quite enough as I stayed up in the high 8s until around 2am. We only have dessert if it's a special occasion so back to normal from today.
Taking dog to vets later for her boosters and general check up. She loves the vets, but can get very excited and rather noisy in the waiting room! I think she was hoping for another trip to the beach this morning, but she had a bath yesterday afternoon, so it ain't happening!

I love the camper van, complete with a road tax disc!. A classic.

Morning and a 6.2 and not best nights sleep but OK now.
Much prefer fresher weather but did not get in garden as not sure if it would pour down in afternoon. Plus we had such a lovely lunch out I had extra and felt full rest of day and only had my fruit breakfast at night.
WFH today to catch up from last week and then a routine week ahead.
Enjoy

6.0

Gym. Therapy. Catching up on life admin. Then volunteering.

Morning all. Finger prick shows 8.2 seeing as the sensor had fallen off overnight. New sensor already requested as i'd only worn it for 7 days.

Today is a quick trip to the local retail park then visiting mum.

Morning all. 7.2 for me before breakfast today, after a nice flat line overnight and an event-free, flat day yesterday. Especially a relief as I am currently midway through a dose of penicillin to treat a mild chest infection, which means I am also having to tweak my carbs intake and/or insulin doses to stay in the middle of the range as much as possible, where I feel best.

Have a great day all.

Morning all
5.0 for me
Either I have good control or the sun is affecting my BG Or .maybe it's both
Take care all

Morning everyone!

A 5.7 for me to start the day, (following a 4.4 alarm and swig of full sugar Coke about an hour before my alarm went off!)

Morning everyone. 🙂 5.6 here.

Work-wise: only two classes this week, some essential admin, and a retirement tea on Thursday. I like to get all my work files, books, etc. in order before we crack up 😉 for the summer. Once that’s done, I can turn my attention to my long list of DIY / cleaning / studying (got a big Welsh exam next year) - the house is grubby to say the least. Marigolds and paintbrushes at the ready...

A croaky good morning. 6.9.

I’m croaky because I must have talked and laughed too much yesterday! All eight of us had a brilliant day. Fantastic Sunday lunch which the bros insisted on paying for. Then onto a local brewery/pub, they brew Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, then open as a pub the rest of the week. There was music playing all day, so hearing was a bit difficult for us so we had to shout, hence the croaky voice. Home for 8.30 and we were starving so we had a chip butty! The evil drink does that to you!

I’m at GP surgery later for my shingles and my five yearly pneumococcal jabs. I’ll probs nip into Aldi whilst there, it’s a bit more upmarket, and quieter, than ours! 😉

Have a good day, wet here again!

My reading this morning was 5.5. It's nice to be back to more bearable temperatures. 🙂
Have a good day everyone.

Happy Monday, a Len from me today (I did wake up at 3:30 for a bathroom visit and see a HS but was half asleep and didn’t know how to screenshot on my new phone, I’ve Googled it and now I know)

Mrs @goodybags & I went out for afternoon tea yesterday, as one of her work friends treated us
good news the treats didn’t spike my BS to much, we ate all the sandwiches, although I could only manage my scone & a single lemon meringue cake
my wife’s scone and the remaining cakes are in the fridge

Looking at the photo, was just thinking to myself my floral shirt matched the willow pattern china - kinda’ like the new Reading football kit

sunny & slightly cooler here today, I’m still trying to decide if I will go to work in shorts or trousers, but as don’t have any appointments until this afternoon and one this evening, might go for a quick swim, because now I can be more flexible with my work hours.

Have a Marvellous Monday
TC 😎

Glad you had a nice time @goodybags. The tea looks lovely.

05:58 BS 5.6, loo trip & a wee doze later 08:13 BS 6.1 🙂

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day, 😉

Just waiting for a tesco shop which I brought forward 2 days to get more bread, not lasting me a week getting the white & ordering 50/50 now, & have some sushi. Deliver 09:00 to 10:00: always get the flexi 4 hour slot & they tell me which hour they’re coming & what’s being delivered stock wise on the day.

Spent most of yesterday watching Shogun on & off in between usual day to day stuff of laundry & dishes; I LOVE the little dishwasher & use it every other day now. I’ve been wondering what to do about the Fairy Platinum dishwasher tablets, I bought a big pack of 90 of which I only used 6, & apparently it’s good for cleaning the loo so, tried it out! It IS good for cleaning the loo as I tried it out yesterday in the shower loo across the hall from my bedroom as I always have that door closed & the window open in there. I put in the tablet & just let it sit there to dissolve & flushed it the next time I went: nice & clean with not much effort; just have to hold my nose a bit as the smell even with the open window in an enclosed space is SO strong! Will try it today with the bigger bathroom toilet across the hall opposite the front door & I always leave that door open for visitors so, I’ll have to leave it closed & open the window so, the rest of the house doesn’t smell of Friary Platinum!
