Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 3.7. The alarm woke me but after an absolutely awful night's sleep i must have just turned over. The heat last night was awful, i just couldn't get comfortable to sleep. Tossing and turning until at least 3am.

We had a short shower here yesterday afternoon but that was it. Today is sunny and windy, just put the washing out and its still warm.

Congrats on the HS @Lauren

@eggyg happy birthday to Mr Eggy.

5.4

Oliver! yesterday was fun. What surprised me was that I didn’t actually know all of the songs.
The Midnight Bell was thoughtful, elegant, sensual, bold, enjoyable, exquisitely danced/acted and so sad.

Good morning folks. Forgot to check FBG yesterday morning. Had a lovely time at Ludford. The quilts on display were beautiful. There were a few demos and workshops as well as stalls selling stuff. Fairly cool inside village hall and enjoyed a nice tea and slice of apple cake.
Weeded the contorted willow flower bed in the evening. We had a very short light shower of rain so carried on working as it was nice and refreshing.

Congrats on your HS yesterday @Eternal422 and @Silent Sands and congrats to @Lauren for your HS today . Hope I haven't forgotten anyone. Mine was 8.2 this morning.

Happy 21st anniversary @goodybags I hope you and Mrs G have a lovely afternoon tea. Enjoy your meal and pub crawl @eggyg and happy birthday to Brian

We had a little visitor this morning. Flew through the window so hubby rescued him and took him outside.
Have a lovely Sunday. It's sunny and breezy here so sending it your way as it's so nice after the heat and humidity. 20250622_090917.jpg20250621_142753.jpg20250621_142718.jpg20250621_142616.jpg20250621_142732.jpg20250621_142840.jpg

Morning a 4.8 for me and bumped along at the bottom most of night which has meant my average BG level dropping into the 5s for first time on a long time.Happy with this and not driving this w/ end so don’t need to worry if a bit more assertive with the insulin.
Went to new Sainsbury yesterday as we were picking up a Food Mixer from a seller nearby. My wife drove and as the lady saying she had a Lexus in her drive and my wife has one they could swap stories which they did.
Plus it is an opportunity for me to fill up my wife’s car with petrol ( luckily a full tank lasts her about 2 months due to her low mileage and she has a hybrid).
Quiet day yesterday as so hot but no rain but definite change in the offing as much fresher and welcome after a warm night and loads of flies.
Will get in garden today if weather allows and out for lunch so enjoy all

Morning all. 6.1 and the flattest ever flatfish.

Did everyone have thunder and lightening last night? We had constant, and I really mean constant, lightening from 10ish until goodness knows, we stood at the window watching it for ages, then went to bed with the curtains open and watched it until we fell asleep. The rain was running like a river down the road, we live on a hill, the thunder was extremely loud too. More of the same today too, we’re going out for lunch and a pub crawl in town with three of Mr Eggy’s brothers and their wives, to celebrate his 65th birthday, could be a soggy day! The white trousers I was planning on wearing, with sandals, is now not going to happen! Oh, and he loved his ticking mantle clock.

Have a great day everyone.
None here in Essex.

Good Morning - I have a puffy finger day - I did prick after having my coffee + collagen drink measurement 7.2.

I hope everyone has been surviving this heat ok its been tough going for me but glad its cooler today.

Hope every one is doing ok, have a wonderful keeping cool day 😎<3

I was recommended neem oil when i noticed my rose had loads of insects on it. The one i bought is only a small bottle but as you only need half a tablespoon (with half a tablespoon of soap and 500ml of water in a spray bottle) it will last a long time. I sprayed my rose all over with it and its worked! No more insects and i only need to spray it weekly. It does say to try it on a small section of the plant first.

@Eternal422 congrats on the HS
I got a bottle of neem oil too, but then later read it will also kill any bees and other beneficial insects. So now I am thinking of buying in some lady bird larvae. Fortunately though I don't have many aphids so far this year, ones I see I am disposing of straight away, I have only seen a few lady birds and one nyph, so I guess they are doing their job.

MY BG dropped again this morning to 4, after changing my Libre2+ due to the old one flying off on a tangent at about 5 this morning! I'll let Abbott know in a short while. I still didn't find the defunct sensor!

I went to a wedding reception last night at the Greaves Park in the city. It was a good do, I took photo's of the happy couple to send to my OH in London, she was impressed that is was so informal - no sign of penguins.
It was good to have a catch-up with the grooms' family as I hadn't seen them in a couple of years. I even splashed out and had a 0% Guinness with my meal. MY BGs soared!

Congratulations @Eternal422 on yesterday's HS and to @Lauren on todays HS - it's a good feeling isn't it?

Just a little grumble so, you don’t have to read it! 🙄

Have you noticed your white bread, if you eat bread as some I know can’t or not much of it, goes mouldy REALLY fast in this heat? 😡

Just finished breakfast & for the 3rd time my white bread has gone mouldy on the 22/06 tbf & its use by 21/06 but, it’s been like that for the last 2 weeks as well:- on 18/06 & use by 18/06 last week & I can’t remember the dates of the previous before that but, it was pretty soon. Usually the bread would get stale first for a few days after use by date before it would go mouldy eventually. I changed from Hovis which is softer to Kingsmill that bit is harder the right word to describe it but, to no avail & also with crusts to no crusts also, to no avail! Last week I also git a back up no crusts 50/50 with the normal, with crusts, Kingsmill & it the first time I noticed how much the textures differ between white & 50/50 it’s firmer & it lasted a few days, when I ate it, longer than use by date! So, in this heat to be sure I get my bread to last it’ll have to be 50/50 crusts or no crusts! 🙄

Mind you I have noticed how much softer any white bread is in the heat of this summer to the winter & it’s almost doughy it’s so soft! 🙄

Grumble over & I feel better for having vented my frustration! o_O:rofl:

“Just keep swimming!” Channeling my inner Dory! :D

When i read up on it it does say to use it in the evenings when other insects are unlikely to be around as much. I've been spraying only once a week and not until after 8pm. Seems to be working so far

Good morning a very respectable 6.9 today (considering what I ate yesterday afternoon/evening) when twice yesterday my BS spiked up, although following apple strudel topped with ice cream it’s to be expected, however soon fell, so obviously I am naturally producing enough insulin to cope, see how my levels cope with our anniversary afternoon tea this afternoon

congrats  on todays HS @Lauren & yesterday @Eternal422
my wife tells me we had thunder and lightning and a light shower at about one in the night, although I never heard anything myself
I’m sleeping much better these days and without medication that my GP had prescribed

I never started on cleaning out in the garage yesterday, it was to hot, so I was let off in the end

Mrs @goodybags is currently cooking up something that smells very aromatic using various herbs including I can with my hayfever nose still smell maybe lemongrass & star anise, it will be a traditional Thai dish for her next week Sunday is her cooking day when she cooks up food to be ready heated next week

I’ve had my next appointment through for DMO clinic, but not heard back from DVLA regarding how their eye test went it seems ages since I had the test but actually only 17days.

Have a Superb Sunday 😎

I never heard anything :D we are desperate for some rain in South Wiltshire.
No sudden downpours here or any thunder or lightning. Still running around with the watering can everyday but the water butts are getting low now and a decent amount of rainfall would be very welcome.

Afternoon all. A lowly 4.1 for me earlier this slightly cooler day...

Have a good rest of the day folks and stay safe.

Just an update on my OH's trip to London. She had a marvellous trip in to Camberwell and met a lot of her old friends and aquatintists (if that's the right spelling?). Her trip has been very successful.

Bit late on parade today, despite having been awake since just before 6. Quickly checked that my wife's flight was on time - it was - and then made the mistake of checking the news headlines. That put paid to any thoughts I had about going back to sleep so I got up, put the kettle on and was 5.5 when I tested.

We're one of the places that had some rain yesterday. In fact there was one short, sharp shower and our eldest and I had to scramble to get 4 machine loads of washing off the line. Needless to say, there was 0% chance of rain in our forecast but it was heavy enough for it to look like I'd just washed my hair when we got back indoors. Who'd be a weather forecaster? Sun came out later so everything went back out and was dry by tea time.

Congrats on your HSs yesterday @Eternal422 & @Silent Sands, and yours today @Lauren

Jack Draper didn't make the final at Queens, so no Brits in any of today's finals. Currently watching the Nottingham final, which has just restarted after 2 breaks for - would you believe it - rain.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday, whatever your plans. Wish Mr Eggy a happy 65th @eggyg, and congrats @goodybags on your wedding anniversary.
