Group 7-day waking average?

I’m joining @Silent Sands today (congratulations!) with a 5.2!

Some friends are coming over this afternoon for a bbq, hoping the odd rain shower passes and we get a bit of cooler air.

Have a great Saturday folks!

still chilling in our lovely cool lounge been watching you tube videos, I found some interesting ones regarding use of natural soap & neem oil (as a pesticide for the garden)
we certainly seem to have all sorts of what I would describe as black-fly and other unwanted pests eating plants
I was recommended neem oil when i noticed my rose had loads of insects on it. The one i bought is only a small bottle but as you only need half a tablespoon (with half a tablespoon of soap and 500ml of water in a spray bottle) it will last a long time. I sprayed my rose all over with it and its worked! No more insects and i only need to spray it weekly. It does say to try it on a small section of the plant first.

@Eternal422 congrats on the HS

Good morning all. 8.3, that’s to be expected after an Indian meal last night. When I went to bed I was 12 something with about an hours worth of insulin left. Didn’t want to chance a correction. It was worth it though.

Operation Mantle Clock went like, well, clockwork. Managed to get home about 20 minutes ahead of Mr Eggy and clock hidden in my shopping bag of shopping bags in the airing cupboard! I don’t know how I’ll wrap it, it’s shaped like Napoleon’s hat! I’ll have to get a gift bag out of my gift bag of gift bags! We’ve all got one of those haven’t we? 😛

We had a great night last night, although there were times I did wonder if we were stark raving bonkers going for a curry when it was 29 degrees! Funnily enough we were the only ones in, everyone else was at home with a salad!

Quiet day today, more lounging on the loungers in the garden. Today I may even take mine and Baz Lehrman’s advice and slap on some suncream. My décolletage currently can be seen from the International Space Station. Numpty! 🙄

Have a super sunny Saturday. We’re forecast storms by mid afternoon.

And here’s the carnage that is The Hordes, all 15 of us.
I think that is the whole idea of hot curries, make you sweat so has a cooling effect on the body, people who live in hot countries like India and Pakistan generally eat pretty hot spicy food. Son in law's mother sprinkled chilli flakes on her cereal.

Afternoon all.6.3 for me this morning. Not a lot of sleep last night.Even with windows open didn't cool down . Normally these old houses with thick walls are cool in summer.bloody freezing in winter like .So me and dog had a siesta this afternoon..Wait till 9 pm and get out for a good walk . Congratulations to @ Silent sands and @ Eternal 242 on your Hs.today .We had a rain shower earlier more forecast .Not the thunder storms promised.Stay safe and cool people

Yay! I’m a Happy Bunny! :D

After days & days of trying to get a new subscription to Disney+ I’ve managed it at last! I finally thought to resurrect my long forgotten PayPal account that I haven’t used in years, I can’t remember how many, to pay the £1.99 per month for 4 months on the website & the Apple TV app on the iPad can still connect to the Disney+ App as well so, I can watch it now that I’ve paid the subscription! 🙂

So, Little Miss Happy Bunny Alaso: Xu Kai named his fans Alaso so they can all be SoSo like him; he named himself that as he says he’s So, so at everything being a jack of all trades but, master of none & all the names he wanted to use on social media, China doesn’t have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube or Whats App as they’re all banned for not agreeing to China’s monitoring laws & has its own Weibo (a combo of the 1st 4 platforms) & Wechat (Whats App) so, he came up with the nickname SoSo!

So, I’m all set now to watch “Moonlit Reunion” next month & I’ll be a Little Miss Distracted Happy Bunny Alaso from the middle of next month with The Open golf at Portrush & Xu Kai’s latest drama “Moonlit Reunion”! A Whistling Nonchalantly emoji!

If I forget to post, it’ll be either I’m watching golf or cdrama! o_O:rofl:

Going to finish watching Shogun as I only watched the first five episodes two years ago as I didn’t renew my subscription then while it was still ongoing with a new episode each week! I thought paying £8.99 per month was expensive as I didn’t watch anything else with another five episodes left! I thought I might come back later once the episodes had all aired & be available to watch in one go but, I forgot about! Shogun was a really good book by James Clavell & the BBC made an excellent series of it in 1980 starring Richard Chamberlain.<3

I’m now contractually obligated to pay £1.99 for the next 4 months, it’ll come out of my account automatically, so, there is time to air all episodes of “Moonlit Reunion” hopefully whatever the schedule is & it’s not too expensive per month!:thankyou:

My gran was born in the part of India that is now Pakistan. The first Xmas after I got married/ bought a house we invited her to stay for a few days and discovered she enjoyed liberally spreading the extremely hot garlic pickle we had on her cold goose sandwiches.

My mum has always maintained that hot drinks cool you down more than cold ones too.

9.7 today, then 3 hours later was 6.9, my lowest reading this month.

Good morning
A happy 5.6 for me this Sunday morning. Got up at 4.30 and took the dog to the beach, the tide was coming in so she had lots of shallow pools to splash about in, plus nobody else was there, bonus.
Having a coffee before heading back to bed for a bit.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

5.3 for me, my numbers are beginning to return to normal (for me) as I slowly begin to cope with this heat.

Wishing everyone all the best for the day ahead

Morning all. 🙂 4.6 here.

Warm, dry, windy and overcast atm. The sun will probably make an appearance later and it might rain as well. That’s all the weather bases covered. Now what clothes to wear?!! 🙂

Morning all. 6.1 and the flattest ever flatfish.

Did everyone have thunder and lightening last night? We had constant, and I really mean constant, lightening from 10ish until goodness knows, we stood at the window watching it for ages, then went to bed with the curtains open and watched it until we fell asleep. The rain was running like a river down the road, we live on a hill, the thunder was extremely loud too. More of the same today too, we’re going out for lunch and a pub crawl in town with three of Mr Eggy’s brothers and their wives, to celebrate his 65th birthday, could be a soggy day! The white trousers I was planning on wearing, with sandals, is now not going to happen! Oh, and he loved his ticking mantle clock.

Have a great day everyone.

A 5.8 for me today. 🙂

Gosh, what a lot of HS’s and near misses today. . A not so good 8.7 for me this am, when I had a mega low at 1am and swallowed some (too much!) glucose. Every alarm seemed to go off! Not sure why - maybe too high insulin before my light evening meal in an attempt to get morning levels on target. Missed.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Nick

Fabulous photo of the tribe. You are the queen of subterfuge! I also have shopping bags stored in a shopping bag and ditto with gift bags. I tease hubby that I hide his presents in the ironing basket. He never goes in there these days.

5.4 this morning for me.

Lovely time with friends yesterday afternoon and evening. We sat outside and enjoyed a very welcome breeze, going back indoors afterwards wasn’t so good as the house was warmer than outside by then. At least we’re getting free electricity at the moment with the long bright days.

It was going to be a day to ourselves but Dad has asked for some more cough mixture so we will have to get that and call into the home at some point today. At least it’s nearby so won’t be too much of a problem. Really need some chill out time at the moment.

Congratulations @Lauren on your HS today!

Have a great day everyone!
