Group 7-day waking average?

5.4 for me on another beautiful Berkshire morning, and hot enough for me put shorts on for the first time this year. It's Home Alone Wednesday, as usual, with both sons having gone to work but my wife still in the US rather than in the office. It was 18 degrees and pouring with rain there on Monday, she said.

Eating out tonight as a late Fathers' Day treat, now that our eldest is back from Rhodes, so looking forward to that, especially as it's one of the restaurants that has a hot drink and mini-dessert on their menu.

Just to say thanks for all the dishwasher tablets suggestions for Ecover! I checked if my local tesco & asda had it & they do. Also, googled it & it has a smell of Mandarin & Lemongrass. Also, checked for other eco dishwasher tablets & tesco had one called OceanSaver with no smell at all, no added perfume anyway, & donates to a marine life charity: thought of the late moderator Copepod; saw a lot of her posts when I joined the forum in March 2018 & very sad to find out later, her funeral was mentioned, that she had already passed away when I joined. Her forum name was named after the marine sea creatures copepods & she was an advocate for not using plastics & the like or using as little as possible as they end up in the ocean & harm marine life.

I ordered OceanSaver in this week’s tesco shop which just arrived & I’ve put on a load & stayed a bit to sniff any smell: there really isn’t; will see later if the dishes are clean? But, it DOES have very good reviews on the tesco website! :D

Now, just about to tuck into tesco sushi that actually came: indeed ALL of my shopping arrived; supplies, tbf for asda too, have been patchy & it’s been annoying when stuff doesn’t come & I’m left short of food for the week! 😡

Yay! I love sushi & it came this week! Nom, nom, nom! 😛:D

It looks as if you are at the lower end of the range expected if Type 2, 4-7 mmol/l fasting and before meals. Not sure what tweaking would achieve if you are happy with your current dietary regime.
 
:D WELL IMPRESSED with OceanSaver dishwasher tablets as there isn’t ANY smell at all, dishes still sparkling & in cold water Eco wash setting, as suggested on the pack, too! A Well Happy Bunny! :D

No need for the extraction fan & I could have ate in the kitchen but, had sushi while re-watching series 4 of RATW on iPlayer! Forgot that both siblings of the brother & sister pair Betty & James left their money belts with their passports behind & were lucky they still got their passports back! 😱
 
One of those “busy doing nothing” days. 7.6 this morning when I got up at 7.30am, but passed through 4.6 on the way to that number. Had a “light bed throw of bamboo cloth” delivered from Amazon (well it’s hot) and Ali decided the grey colour was not OK and has dyed it blue …

Another hot day tomorrow …

We had a family of "supermice" a few years back, they're infected with some microorganism that makes them stupidly brave so they're more likely to be eaten and pass on the germ. They were running around indoors, day or night, in occupied rooms with the lights on!

While I like rodents and have had several rats/ hamsters as pets this was too much, they were eating food we couldn't afford to lose and I was worried they'd chew through the electrics and start a fire.

Peppermint oil didn't deter them. NB: a urine testing pot is made of the wrong sort of plastic for holding essential oils, the carpet still smells a bit minty in places, so we laid humane traps and over several weeks relocated them to a wooded area over the road. Since then I've been informed that this was likely a death sentence as house mouses don't know what to do in the wild. Sigh. We tried our best.

I loved Father Ted. Absolutely hilarious, the one in the lingerie shop will always be my favourite. “Cup of tea Father?” “Go on go on go on.” :rofl:

I missed it when first broadcast, can't fathom why, but have caught up with it all since and it's one of my favourites, having grown up in a Catholic family (only partly Irish) I can appreciate just how cleverly written it is.

Many of the catchphrases have become family staples, and I think my absolute favourite clip is the Irish dancing in a caravan.

I haven’t watched it in many many years. It’s maybe too non PC now for mainstream TV, but I now have a hankering to watch it. I’ll have to hunt it down. I’m laughing just thinking about it.

It's easily available on YouTube. I've just watched the caravan scene and a compilation of "The many deaths of Father Larry Duff".

My excuse for hijacking this thread  again is that because of my elusive capillaries I have to sit upright with my hand down at my side for at least 10 mins before testing, during which I watch a few short videos so I'm not tempted to start fiddling with my phone and ruining my chances.

Ooo, sounds very fancy! When I had one a few years back after complaining of palpitations and a slight chest pain (probably imagined by me) it had sticky sensor pads and wires to a phone sized monitor I had on my belt.
 
A round 6.0 for me today.

Had a very hot time on the Hatton Locks flight today, helping a pair of boats down the flight. Thankfully one of the guys off one of the boats kept us very well supplied with bottles of cold water which was very much appreciated! The day was a lovely mental break from my parents and dealing with getting their house ready for sale.

Lots of the CRT employees and volunteers knew about my wife’s MBE and congratulated her - amazingly the folks on these two boats also knew and congratulated her too! Apparently they had been helped up the flight yesterday by another volunteer whom we did a shift with on Sunday and they asked him if anyone was volunteering today so he looked it up and told them we were on, then told them about my wife’s MBE.

Good idea. I think I have finally convinced student daughter that suncream is not magic, you still need to limit your time in the sun and reapply every few hours. She has learnt the hard way and was very pink and sore at the weekend.

I have remembered to post my FBG today - 10.7. Yesterday's accidental 23hour fast has had no discernible effect, except perhaps on my cognitive performance. I astounded myself earlier by spelling Tomasz Schafernaker's name correctly first time.

Hilarious comment about the hives. Hubby doesn't call them bees. He calls them mini assassin's. They are loving the hot weather and warm nights. Me.... not so keen.
Remind your daughter when she sees someone older with a lot of wrinkles, most of it is due to sun exposure.
 
Good evening. I am joining the late posters club today. A good start this morning with a 6.7 followed by my favourite breakfast, poached eggs on toast. Left home just after 8am for the Lincolnshire County Show. Took over an hour and a half to do what is usually 40 minutes journey. We'll worth it and we didn't get round the whole show as there was so much to see. So hot that the car showed a temperature of 28 deg C at 4.45pm.
Now back home sipping a nice coffee.

Congratulations on your HS @gail2 brilliant news.
Hope your monitor doesn't show anything serious @ColinUK , my hubby has worn them a few times over the last 10 years and nothing showed up apart from his AF which they already knew about.

Hope you all had a good day and nobody got sunburnt or suffered any other mishaps. Take care xx
