Congrats on the HS @Lisa65
Funnily enough, Mr E up a ladder today too, after we’ve bought a dishwasher, he started fixing the sill on one of our ancient wooden sash upstairs windows on Friday. Of course it rained all weekend. I can’t watch I get the wobbles too and can just about manage a two step kitchen step ladder without getting dizzy!
Them as eats most puddin gets most meat. The theory being that would encourage everyone to fill up on pudding and not want much meat.Yes I thought the initial idea was you ate a big (tasty but cheap) thing first to fill you up, so that you’d not feel the need to eat so much of the main (expensive/meat) part of the meal?
I'm envious. We get lots of raspberries and blackberries from our garden but we've never managed to grow strawberries. Not tried blueberries - will have to do some research.Bumper forage of strawberries this morning.
I shall be going out until it's done - I can't watch either!Funnily enough, Mr E up a ladder today too, after we’ve bought a dishwasher, he started fixing the sill on one of our ancient wooden sash upstairs windows on Friday. I grow all our strawberries in big window boxes although they are on the ground. I put them in our polytunnel over winter so they don't get waterlogged and most of them survive. I always pot up plenty of runners as insurance and to replace old plants that are no longer productive.I'm envious.
