Group 7-day waking average?

Morning a 7.5 for me and a lie in and only one song to sing “ Here comes the Rain Again” but this time sung by Wet,Wet Wet.
It is monsoon season for the hour and the dogs get so excited when their coats go on but all done now.
Drive to Ormskirk and Southport today but not too long a day after yesterday’s miles.
Actually got back not too late but a good but busy day and lunch consisted of an M&S sandwich from a Service Station and one coffee all day.
Did not have time to enjoy the delights of Powys or Shropshire but will be a slower day today.
Whatever you are up to enjoy

And why didn’t anyone tell me Bake Off Pro’s was back then? Well? I’m one episode down and will watch another today I think. It won’t spike my bg either so it’s by far the healthiest way to devour cake!

Good morning everyone! A 4'4, low for me.

I went to sleep earlier than usual last night with the intention of getting more hours of sleep, but my body didn't get that memo and woke me up earlier than the alarm instead. I also had some strange dreams, where I was volunteering at my local Pride (which I will do soon) but my work boss was there, being an absolutely insufferable micro-manager. Oh well...I tried!

Tonight is a long awaited night out with my book club friends. I know it's just Thursday but with some of us working retail/hospitality, some with mobility issues and some struggling with big crowds, going out on the weekend was a lot more complicated. Ah, what a wild young group we are! 😛 :D

Dating is going well. My new person had a diabetic best friend when she was a child so has a decent idea of how things go, and is amazed by the new technology like Libre which obviously wasn't around back in the day. She also has a taste for Dextros, she has eaten more than me in the past few weeks haha. I found two new flavours on my Bath trip, lemon and blueberry, and I let her try them first. She mentioned her favourite Dextros as a child were the tropical ones (totally agree), so I got her a pack of them and she was really happy. That's diabetic romance for you! Oh, and biting my tongue to not make a bad joke anytime I hear "you are so sweet"<3

good morning all another night of cack sleep am tired but feelin a lot better today
BG 8.2 WHAT and nothing has passed my lips yours disgusted with self
hope everybody is well and happy
take care all as always, extra special thoughts to those on their own and or struggling
love gail

Morning all, 6.3 here. Slight panic yesterday evening, discovered my email wasn’t working, it kept telling me I needed to log in, then it didn’t recognise my password. Took a while to remember the Downdetector website exists, had a look and discovered I wasn’t the only one by a long way! All back this morning, and sigh of relief I hadn’t got to start communicating with BT!
I'm also addicted to collapsing Pièces Montées, @ColinUK , but you haven’t missed anything too spectacular so far.

Soz! I only watched first episode at the weekend when I did my ironing. I watched it in real time on Tuesday but the adverts annoyed me. I’ll stick to watching it when I’m ironing. I was very dismissive at first of Dane and his partner as they hadn’t ever done patisserie but they are really good. Very creative. I did laugh when he said he wanted to be Beyoncé.

Morning all. 6.7.

Middle daughter’s birthday lunch today. But helping with swimming first, then 8 for lunch. I’m very organised, not much else to do. I’ve just boiled some new potatoes, our first, from the garden, to make a potato salad. Just cheeses, antipasto type things to put out. I’ve made a Quiche Elaine, roasted a ham, made creamy orzo chicken salad, coleslaw, hummous and focaccia. Mr Eggy has made two small pizza bases and will finish those off later, just cheese and tomato for the little ones. I’ve got salmon pinwheels to assemble and chill, and I’ll make some cheese spread sandwiches for the babies. Looking forward to it.

Have a smashing day, it’s sunny here after a lot of rain, but forecast showery.

A 5.7 for me this morning. 🙂

Food sounds lovely @eggy! Send any leftovers down please.

Morning all. 6.8 and woke up with dry, sore eyes, a snuffly nose and scratchy throat so maybe a cold starting.

Nothing much to do today, its raining and forecast showers all day. I am toying with the idea of going back to ASDA for some new clothes. When i did the weekly shop yesterday i found a couple of dresses, shorts and tops which i could do with but wasn't sure about the size or fit. However when i went to try them on they told me the changing rooms were closed, only open 10-5 and if i wanted them i should "just buy them as you have a few weeks to return them". I said i have a limited budget and can't afford to "just buy" so they went back on the shelf. I hate buying clothes without trying them on first, never buy clothes online. Stores are quick to take the money out of your account but slower to pay it back in.

Morning everyone. 7.9 for me on waking. A little on the high side, perhaps, but pretty good considering the fact that I am dealing with a head cold. I thought it had gone, but weather here is still damp so there must be lots of germs around. I was out and about yesterday getting my annual foot check (all good) and sorting out my car insurance, so perhaps I picked up something in those travels. Who knows?

Yesterday and overnight were nice and flat, so the adjustments I made to carb content and split-bolus decisions throughout the day yesterday all worked as expected. That is not always the case; sometimes when I get a cold or flu the first few days can be a nightmare.

Have a great day all.

Morning all. 🙂 8.5 here...had a lie-in, I was pooped. Wednesday’s a bit of a teaching marathon - morning, afternoon and evening classes - but I’ve changed my timetable for September, so now more looong work days.

Lunch out today for hubby’s birthday - I wouldn’t know where to start @eggyg (er, the kitchen?). I do the cleaning around here, not the catering, but I can’t really ask my OH to cook his own birthday meal.

My lovely DSN is phoning today or tomorrow. I don’t know what to say about the Omnipod 5 anymore. I can’t get through a class without a low alarm - I needed three juice boxes to get thru last night’s class, eek! I’ll let her do the talking.

Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better @gail2.

She sounds sweet too @Elenka_HM - are there any more flavours of Dextrose she can taste-test for you?
