Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning everyone

BG 4.6 low for me but excellent. Happy

I have been asked to lead worship at our church this Sunday. Stunned to be asked but honoured to say yes. I have been very busy preparing songs and getting the team up to speed.

And I have been very busy all week recording new songs too.

Meanwhile my hip/leg appear to be getting slowly better. Not sure if it is a temporary reprieve but I am grateful non the less. I recieved a letter from the NHS moaning at me for not booking an appointment that I should have aleady booked. News to me. I tried booking but it wouldn't let me! I rang the surgery and they explained that the referral had only just gone out and that I would recieve a booking request from that soon. When I asked why I had received the letter they said to ignore it for now and, most revealing, that they hadn't a clue how the NHS actually worked! I think that was the point. Left hand/right hand stuff. NHS is a big big monster. Great when it works. A bit of a mess when it doesn't. Glad it exists though. I was quite amused by the receptionists response.

Today more song practice and a meeting with the pastor at lunch time.

Apparently, according to my oximeter I am dead!!! Hmm I think it has gone faulty. Well, I hope that it has!

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning all. 8.6 with a bit of a spike overnight but gradually coming down. Going out for a (short) walk this morning with a friend. No doubt a coffee will included. Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. 🙂 8.1 here.

Sunny again but with a nip in the air. Just how I like it. Well, the tarmacing guys have done a stunning job - our little estate is looking very posh now. No more potholes or random lumpy bits. I’m not sure how they managed to tarmac underneath the cars that some residents were too stubborn to move.

Off to my mum’s as soon as I’ve made myself look presentable. Eye test / diabetic review at midday, so mustn’t forget my sunglasses. Then a long overdue haircut tomorrow morning and coffee with a friend in the afternoon. It’s all go!

5.6 (monitor and fingerprick much closer to agreeing now, following calibration!)

Just glad to see something in the 5s - been struggling to get back here as FOTF has been vicious since my birthday.

Work for me today but I'm out and about visiting new families in the nice weather so not a bad day!

Happy Friday everyone!

A Heinz Special (5.7) for me today. 🙂

Morning. Still reliant on Sudafed (or the Boots equivalent anyway) and hungry. Which goes hand in hand with a cold for me.
8.0

I’ve an invite to wander the new extension/rehang at the National Gallery this afternoon before it opens to the public tomorrow so I’m looking forward to that. And being able to breathe.

@Bloden is a “long overdue” like a longer mullet? It’s a style I’ve not heard of before o_O

A slightly high (for me) 5.8, but happy with that especially as we are going to do a day volunteering at Hatton Locks today so I need something in the tank for the energy I will expend!

Yesterday afternoon’s visit to my parents was actually really good. Mum has gone back to being ok, happy and just a bit repetitive. I really think she missed Dad when he was in hospital and felt so alone and vulnerable in the care home by herself. They haven’t talked to any other residents yet so I can understand them feeling lonely. However we spoke with the unit manager on the way out and she is so nice. She said she gave Mum a hug in the morning to comfort her and it’s clear she knows just what to do to help lift her mood. I’m so grateful we have chosen this care home as all the staff seem to be really genuinely caring and kind.

Have a Good Friday everyone!

Morning my fab forum Friday fingerpricking friends, a very nice 5.6 and a flatfish. What’s so weird is I couldn’t get my BGs up before bed, despite a chocolate coated oatie and was only 5.6 when I went to bed at 11pm. What’s even more weird is I’ve got up this morning and realised I didn’t inject ANY basal last night, just totally forgot, what’s even more weird is I don’t just take a couple of units, I have 12! I can only presume it’s the extra exercise I’m taking and the fact I’m not stressing and flying about like the proverbial blue bottomed fly! Let’s see what today brings.

Yesterday was a quiet and relaxing day spent in the cottage reading and chilling. The weather was glorious, still a chilly breeze, I did a wash and hung it out and it dried very quickly. Mr Eggy made the most delicious tea, scallops, Stornaway black pudding, pea purée all on a bed of mash with crispy bacon bits scattered on and about. Served with a crisp and cold Sauvignon Blanc. It was Masterchef worthy, and he did the clearing up! Absolute treat. About 8pm we went out for a walk, it was a gorgeous night, instead of going straight down to the beach we went by the dunes. Wow! I’ve never seen dunes like them, they are high and vast and like a maze. We didn’t think we were ever going to get out of them! We did obviously but it was touch and go and quite scary at times, the sand is so soft, hard going up and scary going down! We got onto the beach at about 9pm, just slowly wandered along collecting more shells ( soz @zippyjojo) and taking lots of photos. We arrived back at 10pm. It was a lovely end to a lovely day. Busy day today, off to the south of the island for an adventure, and cake, I hope,

Have fantastic Friday.

1. The dunes.
2. One of a pair of twites.
3. Skylark
4. Toby the Highland pony
The rest, Luskentyre beach.
Edited to add our tea!

Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe.

Good morning all, a great sunny day here in Norfolk. im going out today on Indie got to on a glorious day like this. gonna treat myself to something nice. Had some good news yesterday my GP has finally listed to me and is sending me for an x-ray on my right knee, as you know i broke it just over a year and i have been in so much pain with it that at times i cry because of the pain as cant bare weight on it. Hes been brushing me off for ages till i said i wanted a 2nd GP to see me. He said if theres nothing wrong i may have to just live with it, but if somethings wrong he will refer me back to orthopaedic bods
BG this morning 7.1 a wee bit high for me and i have not been snacking at all.
Am on a natural high due to the nice weather and feeling good in myself. Falling in love with life again after my recent mh blip
I hope you all have a good day. Remember to reach out to people if you have issues or need help.
Love to you all, as ever, especially those on their own

PS an update 1154am just opened post and got an appointment for X-ray for next Friday at 1120am. That's worked though fast. The head of care has booked Hospital transport there and back. I know this is going to sound daft but im excited about it.at long last, I will find out if there's something wrong with my knee. I hope not but if it is it explains a lot of the pain

Bright, sunny but cool again. Seems to be the norm at the moment. Got an email from our water company yesterday with tips on how to conserve water as apparently this is shaping up to be the driest Spring since 1956. How long before the inevitable hosepipe ban, I wonder?

New radiator finally installed. Plumber apologised for scorching the skirting board with his blowtorch but I've painted over it and it looks fine.

Friday, so Big Shop Day. That'll take care of my morning - Waitrose (fish counter), Garden Centre Shop (fruit & veg) and Sainsbury's.

Started the day with one of these:-

Whatever your plans, enjoy the day.

Stunning photos @eggyg. Would Mr Eggy like to come here and cook? That looks and sounds amazing.

Congrats on the HS @Martin.A

Started this morning with a 7.7. Not too bad considering we had lyonnaise potatoes with roast pork and savoy cabbage for dinner last night. No celeriac so hubby used turnips to reduce the carbs. Only 3 small spuds used and I had a half sized portion.
Feeling a lot better today so going to my Tai Chi class in an hour.

Weather is nice and sunny if a bit cold but forecast is warmer this afternoon so back in the garden.😎

Have a fabulous Friday everyone. Congrats on HS @Martin.A . Your holiday sounds lovely and relaxing @eggyg. Obviously doing you both good to unwind and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Hope your leg feels better soon @Lisa65 Nerve pain is so exhausting when it stops you sleeping properly.

He doesn’t cook a lot but when he does it’s always great. He tends to do the fish dishes, stir fries, and steak, which we’re having tomorrow night! Yeah! He’s a messy cook though! So be prepared for every surface covered in oil/sauce/crumbs and every kitchen implement and cutlery just left laying about! When do you want him? 😉
