Group 7-day waking average?

Thanks a bunch eggyg. I've not tried magnesium spray but no matter the cost, I'll buy a bottle anyway. Sometimes when my legs are doing their own thing, my body and then my arms join in too 😱 Drives me nuts! No laughing matter when I'm dog tired and need sleep! Thanks again eggyg x

Haven't been on the forum for a while but spotted this - just a heads up you can get magnesium spray from Ocado at around £13 a bottle! I have been using their menopause body spray one (they have a few varieties from a brand called BetterYou) since my hysterectomy and find it really helps with sleep and stopping leg cramps.

Good morning everyone! 9'5 after a much better sleep than the previous nights.

Blood sugars a bit out of order but that's usual when on holiday. We are going back home this afternoon so I'm not concerned about that.

It's been lovely to visit Bath and a great relief to find out my friend and I are compatible to travel. We both like to take our time, stroll around the town and enjoy nice meals 😉 So we had a great time! We've seen the places we planned to see and bought the souvenirs we needed, so these few hours before our bus we'll do some more rambling and try a tea shop that my friend was really interested in.

Wish you all a nice weekend <3

Oops
deffinatelly a bit of a high one today as woke to 10.8 thismorning

I'm thinking maybe I missed my medication yesterday (not intentionally)
but a good experiment ready for next time a certain GP suggests I will soon stop insulin, im now down to 3 or 4 units twice daily,

Yesterday I think I forgot to post on here, it was 6. something I seem to recall

Have a fabulous Friday folks

Morning my fab forum Friday fingerpricking friends, a very nice 5.6 and a flatfish. What’s so weird is I couldn’t get my BGs up before bed, despite a chocolate coated oatie and was only 5.6 when I went to bed at 11pm. What’s even more weird is I’ve got up this morning and realised I didn’t inject ANY basal last night, just totally forgot, what’s even more weird is I don’t just take a couple of units, I have 12! I can only presume it’s the extra exercise I’m taking and the fact I’m not stressing and flying about like the proverbial blue bottomed fly! Let’s see what today brings.

Yesterday was a quiet and relaxing day spent in the cottage reading and chilling. The weather was glorious, still a chilly breeze, I did a wash and hung it out and it dried very quickly. Mr Eggy made the most delicious tea, scallops, Stornaway black pudding, pea purée all on a bed of mash with crispy bacon bits scattered on and about. Served with a crisp and cold Sauvignon Blanc. It was Masterchef worthy, and he did the clearing up! Absolute treat. About 8pm we went out for a walk, it was a gorgeous night, instead of going straight down to the beach we went by the dunes. Wow! I’ve never seen dunes like them, they are high and vast and like a maze. We didn’t think we were ever going to get out of them! We did obviously but it was touch and go and quite scary at times, the sand is so soft, hard going up and scary going down! We got onto the beach at about 9pm, just slowly wandered along collecting more shells ( soz @zippyjojo) and taking lots of photos. We arrived back at 10pm. It was a lovely end to a lovely day. Busy day today, off to the south of the island for an adventure, and cake, I hope,

Have fantastic Friday.

1. The dunes.
2. One of a pair of twites.
3. Skylark
4. Toby the Highland pony
The rest, Luskentyre beach.
Edited to add our tea!
Wow that tea looks amazing!! I’ll have to take you with me next time My brothers and I used to throw ourselves down those dunes when we were teenagers (actually it was probably just my brothers who did that ).

He doesn’t cook a lot but when he does it’s always great. He tends to do the fish dishes, stir fries, and steak, which we’re having tomorrow night! Yeah! He’s a messy cook though! So be prepared for every surface covered in oil/sauce/crumbs and every kitchen implement and cutlery just left laying about! When do you want him? 😉
Whenever he wants to cook. Its ok with the mess, i'll get hubby to clean up 😉

I was scared we were going to fall in and never get out!

Evening all - what an absolutely glorious day it is. It's still absolutely baking hot!

No idea what FBG was... can't remember. There's no logbook and you can't scan to embed the number at any given moment. Think it was in the 6s.

Frankly there's not enough hours in the day. This morning despite being up early I had to answer a number of urgent emails. Then was nearly out the front door to do a big shop when tech dept from Ypsomed rang and was able to sort out a number of problems with my CamAPS by remoting into the phone. Got away to shops at noon in the end. Home, put groceries away, made avo and bacon sarnies for lunch. Got changed, went for a walk on the coast path with my friend and invited her back for a cuppa in the garden. Sat for a short while... watered the garden... came up to the office to get a new book on my kindle... and here we are 6:15! When did I ever find time to work?

@eggyg, what a wonderful holiday you are having.... ditto @Elenka_HM

Congrats to the two HSers.

Have a lovely evening all!

Evening an Update
GP has today following a long phone conversation signed me off for a further fortnight, we also spoke at length about a few other very important things that I needed answers to (it’s not just work that’s stressed me recently)
it was re assuring to hear that from my last 2 blood tests my liver is no longer a concern so I needn’t worry about that anymore
I also got a blood test done yesterday for something non diabetic related yesterday which will reduce my anxiety & stress levels

Following speaking to specsavers / DVLA on the phone this afternoon,
I now have until 8th of June before I must have had the DVLA eye check at specsavers having received a rather stern reminder letter today 🙄
so specsavers appointment now is booked for the 6th June (that’s 4 days after my next course of treatment at DMO clinic) which will be on the 2nd, where I’m due to receive injection/s of Eylea at the recently approved much higher dose - I think the newly approved higher dose is 8mg once every 6months whereas when they treated me before with Eylea it was 2 mg in 6 weeks intervals (I think)

Ive also decided I’m going to give the mask another go so will contact them
as @Pam123 following you sharing the results, it looks like it’s helped you, maybe the main problem for me after all, before when I tried it was as I wasn’t sleeping properly anyway, I think that’s why subconsciously I was removing it therefore just never gave it a proper chance.

Congratulations to any HS’ers I’ve recently missed, I’m sure I’ve missed a lot of others posts on here recently, I definitely need to get a bigger iPad (or a computer)

work situation will soon change, need to talk to my employer regarding that, before I say anything else in public 😉

Off for a early night now … If I don’t post tomorrow morning, I might be rushing around, well not really rushing 🙄 really looking forward to the Walking Football / MH support project tomorrow (will be in shorts this week) and have recently written something for the community trust that runs the program, for them to share social media etc … to try and raise awareness and attract more attendees who might themselves also benefit

8.6 for me this morning after the festivities of last night - we we're at the Platform to watch a concert by the local brass band on the VE Day celebrations, followed by the beacon being lit on the the Stone Jetty, there was quite a few folk there and we even recognised a couple of tunes!

Been a warm one today until we (my new support worker) got to the front and were met with an a north-easterly bitter breeze. I did everything I needed to plus dropping by a craft ale bar for a diet coke - this time it was judging by my BGs later.

My OH was busy indoors sorting out the kitchen with her friend R, she did a pretty thorough job of it too.

Congratulations @Martin.A & @Colin g on your respective HSs today.

Morning and a flat 6 for me after a correction dose to get my BG under control after last nights Pizza where I had an extra big slice and a Magnum.
I had done some digging during a beforehand and did drop low but then you know what happens when you over react but as I had to drive in the evening I wanted to have a good margin of error.
My wife said I am able to manage the rest of the time but I said it is not an exact science in predicting my levels but she just rolled her eyes thinking I was trying to get out of driving.
Dropping her off at Village Faye this morning and she will be with one of my friends who is a right ditherer and gets very panicky about such events. She rang up last night saying she had been studying the bus times and calculated that we could park 3 cars in the bus lay-by and unload all our stuff before the bus arrived.
I said that was not on and just let us get there early and it will get sorted but she then rang back two more times saying how how would they manage and did we have a gazebo and were we putting bunting up and could we bring a fridge to keep the drinks cool.
I gave up and know today will go fine.
Lovely BW/ end ahead so have a good one

05:52 BS 5.6 🙂 A nice surprise waking in the 5’s but, very quickly up to the 7’s after getting back from the loo! Hopefully it’ll drop a bit while I’m posting in bed & before I eat breakfast?

A very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

6.8 and I can breathe!

Went to the National Gallery preview of the Sainsbury Wing reopening and it’s fantastic.

They’ve had a general rehang throughout the whole gallery and what they’ve done is magnificent. Things make more sense somehow. It draws you in and takes you on a journey through Art.

Went with a friend and we’ve never done a gallery visit before together. It’s fascinating to have a conversation about how pieces resonate differently with us and both thought they’ve done a grand job.

Went to Byron’s for a bite to eat then I went off to the opera and he went to the theatre with another friend of his.

I saw Pimpinone. It’s not been staged for 300 years and is a two hander comic baroque opera. And it’s genuinely charming. 1:20hr straight through which meant I was home by 9pm!

Today’s a two show day with Sadler’s East this afternoon and Sadler’s Wells itself this evening.
