Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 7.5 for me. Woke to find the foxes have been playing in the garden last night. Plant pots stored by the shed are halfway up the garden, soil left over in said pots scattered around and the blooming thing has dug a massive hole almost to the bottom of a large ceramic pot which contains my new rose. Beautiful looking animals but pesky things i don't want in the garden. I've tried spraying a mix of garlic and chilli and sprinkling chilli powder around but its obviously not working.

Today i have to go back to physio. Hopefully he'll suggest something this time that will help my foot. Last time he gave me exercises for my legs and bum, not sure how that helps. Then its home to put soil back into my rose pot.

Have a good day everyone.
We caught on camera at our allotment 2 badgers, 1 huge one and 1 smaller one scrabbling about collecting long grass by rolling it into a ball and dragging back through the fence for nesting material. They trashed lots of veg last year so vulnerable stuff has to be doubly protected if we stand any chance of us getting any. I did try hot chilli powder in the areas where we had seen them snuffling about but I am unconvinced it works.

Morning everyone. A happy 4.8 for me on another grey cloudy morning,

Have a good day folks, and stay well.

My sensor decided to turn itself off and generate both an alarm and a notification to Replace Sensor at 2am this morning. I decided to ignore it until the morning, then requested a replacement. . Very annoying. A finger prick test says I was 5.2 before breakfast, with a great big blank on the graph. HS! Bloody hell, is that how you achieve it, really?

Nick

5.6 this morning had to dash out today to get a few bits for tonights dinner as were expecting to ton of top soil to be delivered this afternoon, went to Marks, had nothing I wanted still low stocks didn't expect the issues they have to last this long have a good day everyone

7.9 here earlier, on this gorgeous day, a little cool perhaps but it looks like a picture.
Your photo's @eggyg are brilliant and scenic.

I've been sorting out old computers only to find I've been hoarding a desktop tower case, containing very little other than a CPU and ram in the form of four DIMMs. My OH put it out on TrashNothing this morning.
I mentioned that I would bring her new laptop online and, you know when you've said the wrong thing don't you? I'll put on hold for a while before doing anything about it. She went out to town to get some supplies. I told her she looks a picture in her new clobber, I even took a couple for when she forgets.

Put together a playlist on Spotify yesterday of all the songs I'm learning to play on the guitar - there's 34 of them!

Congrats @NickE on todays HS.

Well done on your HS

Good morning, 5.6 here after a better night's sleep. Determined to tire myself out so I would sleep despite the sciatica pain, I walked about five miles yesterday with the dog, then at bedtime took paracetamol, ibuprofen and a piriton to help make me sleepy. The pain woke me up a couple of times but managed to get about five hours. 🙂

Morning and a 6.4 and have an early start as going across to Anglesey.
Had a lovely Indian Meal last night and so full and no point in attempting to carb count so just estimate and manage by staging insulin.
Got it as well as I could and stayed within range but ended up taking in total 15 units ( including 3 at midnight to deal with 2nd surge).
Only have about 2 or 3 such meals a year and pure indulgence but it was so enjoyable and was a special occasion.
Nice walk back via Waitrose and then climbed our little hill back home.
Dropped stuff of at solicitors and did my Lunch and Learn in Widnes but such a good audience so a lot more driving today but such lovely scenery.and an ice cream to have.
Whatever you are up to have a good day.

7.8 and absolutely full of cold. Sniffly nose, sore throat, swollen glands etc. It’ll pass. Meanwhile I’ll drug bomb it into submission with Sudafed and other assorted OTC medications.

Good morning 5.8 on what looks like a bright & sunny day today here

so we are …half way through the week already 🙄

Happy Hump Day 😉
TC 😎

Morning all. A Scottish 5.2!

Had a lovely quiet day yesterday. Reading and chilling in the morning, with a brief sojourn to the post box to post a friend’s birthday card and to get cake from the cake shed we’d spotted on Sunday. Firstly I forgot to pick the card up and secondly the cake shed was shut! Luckily it was only minutes from the cottage. After intensive research, I looked on FB, it appears the Luskentyre Cake Shed only opens on Saturdays. We’ll be there!
After lunch I posted the card and we went down to the beach, I didn’t take my camera I thought you’d be sick of white Caribbean like beaches and heart breakingly beautiful blue/green waters. I did have my phone so I will post some photos. Had a lovely slow walk picking up shells and just listening to the waves crashing in the beach. I found a sea urchin, it was dead, so I’ve brought it back with me, along with razor shells and others I don’t know. I normally pick rocks from the beach but there wasn’t any. Not that I could pick up and put in my pocket!

Today we’re off on an island tour, hoping to have a fishy lunch out and get some provisions as well as do some sightseeing. Camille should be rested after her long journey. We are.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

Photos ( in no particular order) of my HS, Highland coo, my collection, to the right of the big sea urchin which you’ll all recognise is a sea potato, a type of sea urchin. It’s very delicate and I barely got it back in one piece. The rocks I would have liked to take home, sea thrift and primroses.

Morning all. 7.6 on the finger prick, 8.4 on the new sensor. Today is weekly shop day then i'm off to my friend's house for lunch and crochet.

Re foxes yesterday, i ordered some prickle strips last night which hopefully will be delivered today. Maybe those will stop the fox and the squirrel.

Congrats on the HS @eggy. Sounds like you're having a great time.

Get well soon @ColinUK.

Have a lovely day everyone.

5.6 for me today. 🙂
A mid-morning delivery from Tesco, then off for a sunny (hopefully) walk in the woods.

Dez

@eggyg I’m reminded of being a kid armed with a bucket and filling it up with dead seashells etc and taking it back to the chalet only for mum to realise that most of the things were still alive… or at least had been when they went in the bucket

Does the Scottish HS entitle you to wear a special tartan or be woken with a bagpipe serenade?

Already got my HS Harris tweed tartan on order, I think I’ll get it made into a Highland coo doorstop like the one below. I love it.
The only serenade I got this morning was Bri snoring right in my lug hole!

Morning everyone. I’m happy with my 5.1 today and also happy that the sun is shining through fluffy white clouds again and it feels a bit warmer.

Have a good day folks, gotta go now I’m off to the docs for a review in a couple of minutes.
