Group 7-day waking average?

Good afternoon folks
7.7 today but I didn't get the early night I planned. I caught hubby's tummy bug and spent the afternoon and evening jogging backwards and forwards to the loo. Good for my step count I suppose . OK by the time I went to bed and fine today.
Also got a call from SiL about 10.30pm. She was in A&E waiting for treatment after falling earlier on. She has a broken foot and can't put any weight on it. Her friend is bringing her to us this evening and she is stopping for the week. We will take her back on Friday for her hospital appointment.

Very wet this morning but it is nice and sunny now. Hoping the lawn will dry off as it desperately needs mowing again.
Enjoy the rest of your Friday and the start of the weekend

I overslept this morning! 9.5 at 10am.

Sunny start to the day then it clouded over and rained,. Right now the suns shining again and I'm taking advantage by relaxing in the garden.
I need to take it easy today coz my chronic back pain and hip pain - and dodgy knee, are misbehaving somewhat wicked!😱 Arrgghhh! Also my COPD and hayfever is causing havoc with my breathing today. Not having a good day😡but hey ho there are folks much worse off than me. Moan over!😉

For those who are interested, the Red Arrows will have left RAF Valley now for Lossiemouth in Scotland then tomorrow Saturday 7th June they will transit from Lossiemouth to Liverpool Airport. On Sunday 8th June they will transit from Liverpool Airport to RAF Waddington with a display at RAF Cosford Airshow. I love the Red Arrows air displays, have seen them many times over the years.

Hope you're all having a better day than me, take care and stay as well as you can. Enjoy your weekend my friends whatever your plans are.

<3 should mention your Bleeding Heart mine has gone mad this year, its huge.
I too am amazed how big its grown. I took a Bleeding Heart cutting four weeks ago and it's coming along nicely since I placed it beneath the Mother plant. Hopefully it will survive the winter and perhaps produce pink hearts in the Spring. It's one of my favourite plants.<3

A more respectable 5.4 this morning, my wife “made” me eat more carbs and take less insulin so that we wouldn’t be woken up by the libre low alarms:rofl:.

Really enjoyed our day at Hatton Locks today, a very welcome break from visiting my parents and trying to cope with Mum’s dementia which unfortunately is bad at the moment. So we had a day outside, being able to chat with walkers and boaters along the flight and just let my mind drift along in neutral all day. We helped this beautiful boat (fully electric so it’s absolutely silent moving through the water) up the flight today. The couple were lovely and have been living on the boat since buying it new a year ago, had a great chat with them as we helped them through the locks.

Got a radio club EGM tonight, it will be good to catch up with the folks again as with all that’s been going on I haven’t had a chance to get across to the club.

Take care everyone.

Afternoon folks
‘twas 8.9 this morning, at first when I saw that I was thinking a wonky sensor ? but nope, a FP test showed was 8.7 so just a high one on waking today, that will be down to yesterdays slightly NOT so low-carb food including snacks eaten at varying times of the day 🙄
I’m currently trying to take slightly less Mounjaro, because after a recent increase, I now seem to be having a common side effect of Mounjaro - as a result my wife now is calling me Mr Burpy (as well as Mr Cresey)

When i woke this morning was initially feeling quite lazy today but needed to get moving & take my wife to work at 7am

I had my DVLA eye test yesterday at Specsavers, I think it went well but this time I’m a bit more more anxious than in the past,as I’ve still not had my new glasses since cataract surgery late last year so I guess just wait to hear from DVLA

In the end it’s been quite busy day today, sorting out all sorts of things both with my previous employer (my last day was actually last Friday but still a few loose ends to be tied up with HR) then sorting out some things work related for our future in the new opportunity I’ve found

We (Mrs @goodybags & myself) enjoyed lunch out today, I thought it fitting to have lunch in a garden centre, because today is the 5th anniversary my Mothers passing.

with that in mind, I’m just thinking - need to catch up with my Brother, Sister + SIL, as after 5 years we must get away together to scatter my Mothers remains down on the North Cornwall Coastline, at a secluded bay she had chosen across the Camel estuary, basically it’s a lovely place opposite Padstow, plus that’s where we scattered DAD (25 years ago)

Hope everyone has had a FANTASTIC Friday
TC 😉

Was 6.4 when I first woke up but I'm struggling with foot to floor the last couple of weeks and reached 9.8 before it gradually started coming back down.
Off to get my eyes tested shortly, it's been a few years and the lenses of my glasses have deteriorated and are constantly slightly hazed. It'll be nice to have clear vision again. Although I'm not looking forward to the cost. I have varifocals, thinner index lenses and reactolite added on which bumps up the price considerably!
Good luck GM

Morning a 6.7 for me and a good nights sleep but up early with dogs and back in from their short walks.
Quiet day for me ahead looking after dogs whilst wife looking after hungry Morris Men at Day of Dance in Town so will drop her off in town with cakes/ scones etc and hope she leaves one behind in car.
Then she is off to farm to feed their dogs whilst daughter is away ( her MiL is too frightened of the Bull Mastiff who is a big softy but looks the part).
@Eternal422 love your references to Hatton Locks and am sure many people are aware of these major “lock systems” when they are in the countryside but maybe not some of the urban ones.
On our local news they featured Marple Locks which looks great but largely hidden from likes of me who never knew they existed even though I thought I knew the area well.
I looked on a map which I love doing and saw how significant they were and just wished I had known about them earlier to stop and enjoy them.It also reminded me of the importance of maps in explaining the landscape and informing us of what lies where.
As I said a quiet day for me but a busy one for my better half so enjoy whatever you are upto.

Morning folks. 🙂 9.3 here, eek! You can tell I’m back on Novorapid LOL.

The Humalog experiment hasn’t worked so my DSN is going to reinstate Novorapid on my prescription, phew! Had an excellent phone call with her yesterday. We went through all the options / tweakables on the Omnipod 5 to see what I can do to make my BG more stable and predictable...not much, it turns out. So she’s going to arrange a Teams meeting with one of the O5 educators to see if they’ve got any ideas that we missed. I’m all for going back to a manual pump tbh. We’ll see...it was nice to be listened to though. This DSN’s a keeper!

I might just get some lesson planning done today cos today’s forecast is rain, but sunshine tomorrow. Enjoy the weekend, peeps.

A 5.7 for me this miserable dull and wet Saturday. 🙂

Dez

Half-empty house today as my wife's shortly off to visit her sister in Bedford, staying overnight, and our eldest has his futsal team's end-of-season event. It's Women's Final day in the tennis so looking forward to that and hoping for a thrilling 3-setter. Need to make sure all my chores and done & dusted by 2 o'clock, ready for the start of play.

5.8 this morning.

Enjoy your Saturday, weather permitting. Thunderstorms forecast for here this afternoon.

Good afternoon! This is well late for me. 6.6.

I’ve had a lie in, must have needed it. Yesterday was a gorgeous day, still cool but sunny and breezy, two loads of washing out. Mr Eggy spent most of the day doing garden stuff. The pergola was a bit wobbly, this constant wind isn’t helping. So he made two supports for the front corners to strengthen the posts. The back ones are fixed to the garden wall, they aren’t going anywhere. Hopefully it’ll last a few more years, the grapevine is massive and the pergola is obviously feeling the strain! Won’t be in the garden today, wet, wet, wet! It was torrential when I first woke at 5am.

Childcare/sleepover today. 10 month old Rocco coming later, mummy and big sister are going to Warrington to attend an 18th birthday party, daddy always works Saturdays, so Rocco is having his first ever sleepover! Daughter is a bit worried as he isn’t a good sleeper, but it’s one night and I’ve done this a few times now. I bet he’ll be as good as gold for Grandma and Gaga. Fingers crossed!

Have a super Saturday.

excuse my ignorance but whats futsal?

Morning all, 5.6 here. Got wet out riding yesterday. I know we need the rain, but does it have to turn the taps on suddenly when I’m out in the middle of an open field? And after the forecast has said it’s meant to have cleared up?
It’s the universe giving you a free horse wash!

5.6 today

Nicely relaxed (generally) day yesterday. Long stroll in the afternoon all through the backstreets of Fitzrovia and looping through Mayfair and Soho ending up at Sadler’s Wells for yet more flamenco. This time it was Ballet Flamenco Andalucia and their piece based on Lorca’s Pineda.

I didn’t read the synopsis beforehand and hadn’t read the Lorca either and it made little sense to me. Costumes were great and they’re clearly talented dancers but the fusion of flamenco with a complete narrative didn’t hold my attention. One of the dancers however did and he was on stage most of the time so I was a relatively happy bunny.

Got home, read about Dawn French and her ridiculous foray into Middle Eastern politics, thought about the number of visitors to Queer Britain on Thursday who were wearing either a keffiyah or multiple Queers for Palestine badges, how many of them were teachers or lecturers, how so many Jews I know are scared about going to Pride this year, how most of the big LGBT Jewish groups are not marching because organisers won’t work with them and the police to guarantee safety and thought about what I can do in my own small way. So apart from signing up to a bunch of gay Jewish organisations I have ordered something to wear on my next QB shift. And to Pride.

And for when I’m feeling slightly less brave:
