Group 7-day waking average?

Today we moved my parents into the care home. Thankfully all went well and wasn’t as bad as I thought it might have been.
Tony, I'm happy for you that things went smoothly today. Enjoy your well earned break in lovely NI.

Thanks Dez. It feels a mixture of sadness and relief. They lived in their house since being married almost 70 years ago. This was the home I was brought up in so it is also a bittersweet day for me. We still have lots of things to clear in the house but that can wait for a while now. Time to take a breather for a bit!

@Eternal422 so glad the move went well for your mum and dad and they're settled in. It will be a huge relief for you. Enjoy your break and relax.

Thank you! They both fell over the weekend so that really underlined the need to have more care and be in the care home.

Glad they finally accepted and went @Eternal422 . My late father had a number of falls in the last five years breaking both hips - he wouldn't accept having a button around the neck. We proposed going into a home several times, but he ignored them all. Eden when he had a care team going in several times a day, still no LIfeline. He only accepted going into a hospice in the last few days of his life - he never made it.

Still no internet, in the pub on their Wifi. Virgin were supposed to come today but never turned up. Anybody actually try to get any sense out of them either on line or phone, none of the options fitted the situation. Hopefully tomorrow. Other half is like a bear with a sore head big time, even smashed his mouse in frustration

Indeed! A very swingy day! My BS was still high but, not as high as I feared after my sandwich when I had a quick & easy roast chicken dinner, I’ve posted before about how I do that, 20:27 BS 11.8 I WAS going to give it the normal dose off 44NR but, only 42 left in the pen & went with it. Just as well really as with active NR still on board I hit the 5’s just now & made myself a cuppa & had a giant soft baked chocolate praline cookie 22:41 BS 5.7: monitored early & knew I would be heading for a hypo at some stage & when it hit the 5’s is the time to act! Now BS is starting to rise after tea & cookies 23:04 BS 6.6. Try & keep awake for a bit to make sure BS doesn’t drop again? I didn’t take the exercise factor into account: wasn’t quite the amount of exercise I’d planned for without the bus trip but, it was still some exercise walking the long corridors & the initial high BS 17.0 was mostly the unpredictable stress factor to BS I get with medical appointments! 🙄o_O I’ll have to remember that on Thursday!

Morning all. 5.8

ECG took ages yesterday so didn’t have time for the gym between that and first session with this therapist.

Now I’m not one to knock NHS provision but honestly I’d have thought a good grasp of conversational English would be a basic prerequisite for a therapist. Seems I’m mistaken. We’ll see how things settle but the jury’s out on usefulness right now.

Eye test (just a bog standard Vision Express one) first thing so I’ll gym afterwards.

No other plans today.

Morning all. Score on the door, 6.4.

Beautiful misty morning when I first rose at 6am. The cows in the field behind us seemed ethereal. If I’d had my wits about me I’d have nipped downstairs and grabbed my camera, but I didn’t! I went back to bed and when I finally got up a few minutes ago the mist was gone. Ah well, never mind. It’s gonna be a scorcher. 😎

Came back from town yesterday with seven books, four new and three from a charity shop. That should keep me going for a few days! 😉 We’re going to have a walk today, just local and not too long as things still need doing, another wash on maybe, iron Monday’s laundry, make a loaf of bread, and go and pick my prescription up. Tomorrow is childcare and Thursday is haircut and visit to butcher and Aldi. Friday I will be cooking a couple of things to take with us, we’re getting the ferry at 7pm on Saturday, the shops are closed in Lewis and Harris on Sundays so need a few things to tide us over. I’m getting really excited, mostly because the forecast for Saturday is decent, ie the ferry shouldn’t be getting cancelled, not for weather related reasons anyways. 🙄

Have a fab day.

Morning all, 10.6 here! Probably a new record since diagnosis. My levels have been like the himalayas all week, and I’m beginning to suspect my basal. Looking at my graphs, any time I haven’t got any active bolus in, I shoot up. Time to try a fresh cartridge and go from there, I’m currently using one that went on holiday with me. No reason why it should be compromised, but it’s either that or my basal needs have mysteriously doubled, so we’ll try a new cartridge first.

Hi everyone

BG 5.0

Today lots of musical stuff to do.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning all. 3.9. I was in range all day yesterday and steady overnight unil a sudden dip about 5am. Had a couple of JBs but it obviously didn't work as i stayed in the high 3s until 7. Breakfast eaten and just having a coffee before hanging the washing out. Today a friend is coming for a few hours for our weekly cuppa, chat and craft.

Have a good day everyone and enjoy the sunshine.

Morning all. 🙂 6.6 here.

Sooo, my DSN didn’t phone yesterday like we’d arranged. I emailed her at around 4pm to see if she was going to phone, but no response. Back to square one. I’ll listen to the Omnipod 5 Juicebox podcasts again and see if there’s something I could tweak to get rid of the BG Himalayas. Don’t hold your breath...(you’d end up keeling over)!

Sunshine, fab! Best walk the dogs before it gets too hot.

My phone can join but my iPad or MacBook point blank refuse to play ball.
And I don’t get the passcode email to sign in when I request them from those devices either so it’s not just you that tech is being a pain for.

Good morning. 5.5 despite
waking at 0.30 with the munchies - ate an apple and 2 easy peelers. HD a bit of a breakthrough with the crutches - friend came over for a chzt and got the big brace fixed solid
