Morning all and 4.4 for me.

Cracking gig in Leeds last night. Very near a sell out. Spear of Destiny were pretty damn good. Only slight downside was our dressing room which comfortably accommodated the entire band as long as we stood up.

Doing it again tonight in Newcastle.

Have a good day everyone.

A 5.4 for me earlier this grey morning.

Have a good day folks and stay safe.

Afternoon. ,7.0 for me this morning.Sitting in tea room garden with a coffee.Suns out and I'm starting to burn .. Looking at these black clouds heading over might just sit out in it .All these folks eating will be making a dash for shelter .Well done @ Colin UK hope your other tests come back good . Enjoy your day people

Afternoon all. Light overcast with sunny patches. Starting on Sat it's supposed to be sunny all day with highs of 19deg.

5.1 this morning, but it might not count as I had already been up to the bathroom and had sat in the bed with a cuppa reading the forum before I remembered to check.

Went to see the vampire this morning for diabetic bloods and foot tickling. Feet are fine, BP was 128/82 which is great for me! Plus the lovely R got blood out of me with no hassle at all. If only I could see her every time! Libre predicts Hba1c of 48... we know that's on the optimistic side... we shall see!

Came home via shopping at Lidl where we bought all manner of things not on the list... all food/cleaning items thankfully and no tat from the middle aisles.

We are going to dinner at our lovely neighbours this evening. We always have a laugh with her.

@ColinUK congratulations on your excellent Hba1c!

@Bloden, hope you get to change your insulin, but I am convinced it's the Libre 5 that is mainly to blame. I have had problems with it ever since I started on it and I am on Apidra which is much faster than Novorapid. The problems continue even when I changed to manual. I think the algorhythms are very badly written and I cannot understand why, when calculating corrections, it counts your hourly basal as IOB. Surely basal is basal just meant to keep you level and should not be counted as bolus to reduce your level. I shall be very glad to ditch it next Weds when I go onto the Ypsopump with CamAPS. Anyway, I look forward to seeing what happens with your change of insulin.

Hope everyone is having a happy Thursday...

late again been out most of the day chippy lunch and another tip run, not very exciting, BS was 7.4 again higher than normal so ive increased my Basel up to 24 units and see how I go, I thought most people need less in the warmer months maybe its the other way round anyway

Late checking in today BUT, I remembered to, just now, while I’m sat down after a VERY late breakfast! :D

10:51 BS 9.1. So so but, not TOO bad.

A Very G’Day Mates to you all & hope you’re having a Wonderful Day? 😉

Yesterday proved to be a borderline inconclusive day in terms of reducing basal as BS stopped dropping just shy of the 6 hours after eating mark: it could be a teeny, maybe 2NR, too much; adjusted to a teeny bit less NR & got a bit higher readings? Hence the higher BS during the night & waking this morning! Soooh, if I keep to the slight -2NR for meals for longer BS might settle back to normal range? Try it for a bit longer to see before I reduce basal UNLESS, of course, I start going hypo all over the place?

LOVED last night’s series 5 of Race Across The World & I’m guessing that checkpoint 2 looks like it’s Hong Kong from the map?

I’m well impressed by the younger sister Leticia, of the pair of sisters team, speaking pretty good, despite what SHE said herself, Mandarin & she was only in China previously for 6 months & her pronunciations are so good 😱: the tones can be hard to get exactly right; when slowly absorbing Mandarin as I have been recently watching a lot of cdrama, I found that it affected my speaking tones of Hakka & Cantonese, that I already know, as well for a while until I adjusted! o_O

6.1 this a.m. and didn't laze in bed for too long as we had our first appointment just after brekkas. Closely followed be three people knocking at the door, followed by a surprise visit from my new support worker, who was very nice beit a little young.. Then an appointment just after lunch followed by two more folk banging a tattoo on the door.
We then went out for Js birthday to an Italian in Lancaster - nice but nothing too spectacular, pretty reasonable too.

Home now and Js kipping and I'm half watching the snooker. Hope we aren't to inundated tomorrow.

Very late posting for me.
6.4 for me this AM, which I'm very pleased with. I was catering for 4 teenage boys last night at a sleepover. I provided them with a very large amount of pizza. I was too tired to create something more suitable for me so I ended up eating pizza for tea too. My first time having 'normal' pizza (rather than fathead dough) since diagnosis (and I didn’t have a small portion!) I only went up to 7.4 at 2 hours post meal which was good (but also bad as I don’t want to feel like I 'got away' with it). It might be that I went high earlier than 2 hours as seems to happen when I eat anything with wheat. Anyway, under those circumstances, I'm pleased with 6.4 this morning.

One more day of work until I have annual leave for my birthday week.

Sleep well everyone!

Good morning 6.1 A grey morning here.

Mixed progress. Reading others varied results much more interesting than daytime tv. Running out of books and not finding anything interesting to download. Reduced to researching t-joints for stove...

Livingroom ready for plastering, boys boarding out 2 bedroooms today. Plasterers due on Tuesday. Yesterdays attempts at mobility rather unsuccessful - managed about 1.2 metres before pain stopped play. Obviously not ready for crutches yet. Chances of being able to move into caravan poor. Bother and other words of that ilk.

Chicken and veggie stew went down well although cooking with hob at nose level is disconcerting. Foot rest fell off wheelchair en route to eating spot but managed to save 90% of plateful and trousers prevented scald. Slept well but woke to rt leg aching like a barsteward. Life definitely a bit 50-50. News of @ColinUK test and @khskel gig added to positive part of score - congratulations lads.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Morning and a 5.4 for me.
As you can see I only have the last 3 days worth of data on my phone due to switching phones but really illustrates how my BG is in a “sweet spot” this week and really can’t explain it fully.
I wonder if I am going down with something but feel fine but can only remember this once before last winter when my BG just did not seem to respond to carbs at all. Yesterday I took 4u of NR for breakfast as usual and ended up having two slices of thick toast on two occasions later that morning without any more insulin to stay above 5 and did not go above 6.5 which is not usual.
Had over 200g of carbs yesterday with only very moderate exercise and a total of 6u basal and 12u of NR so yes it gives very good control and is great as can eat what I want without worrying how my BG responds but will seek to experiment with lowering insulin and manage from there.
The last time I thought it was one last surge of my honeymoon period so perhaps it is that again but see how long my nirvana lasts before normal service is resumed.
Anyway nice day yesterday in Llangollen and toast by the river and WFH today and we have the annual Transport Festival in Town over the w/ end.
We will walk down and hopefully bump into one of my wife’s friends who has an interest in Steam Engines.
Quite an unusual story as she was conversing on line with a lady on Isle of Man as we both have daschunds from the same breeder so they are probably related.
This lady said she was moving back to the mainland and they found out she was moving within half a mile of our house so what a coincidence so they became good friends.
This happened about 5 years ago and turned out she used to be married to Fred Dibnah and had a lifelong interest in Steam Engines so she may well be there tomorrow on the circuit.
Anyway Pizza tonight and a nice w/ end to enjoy.

Morning all. 6.9 pour moi.

I went to bed at 8.45 last night and read until 9.15. Think the last week is catching up with me. No more grandchildren until next Wednesday! I might be able to get some housework done, and the ironing, going to need the crampons out to get to the top of the pile! That’s what happens when you miss a week. But that’s for another day as today we’re visiting @zippyjojo to talk all things Harris, I’ve got my notepad and pen ready!

@TinaD I’m loving your grit and tenacity, you’re an inspiration. Fingers crossed your recovery speeds along at a rate of knots.

Have a fab Friday folks, supposed to be a nice day again. Got all my bedding washed and dried on the line yesterday. It’s the simple things.

6.7

Which I don't understand as no pizza was consumed in the creation of a higher than usual morning reading.

Ah well. Last day before my birthday annual leave. It's a busy one though so expecting a late finish as I tie up loose ends. But then, holidays:party: :party:

Morning all. Expected to be off to the opticians for an eye test this morning but double checked the confirmation and it was supposed to be yesterday. Oops! Rebooked for next week.

5.0 on the old meter

Thought I’d start checking BP more regularly given what’s going on and OMRON really doesn’t like my morning readings this morning. Average is 87/58 with pulse of 56. That’s after three sets of readings and is asking me to do another set in 20 minutes and suggesting contacting the GP or A&E. I think it’s being a right drama queen personally but I’ll send the numbers over to the GP anyway. Maybe it’s time to stop the Ramipril.

@Lanny Race Across The World is great! My heart went out to Mum and Eyebrows when they got stuck so badly and the brothers are hilarious. I can’t wait for the inevitable “You should have brought a rucksack not a f’ing suitcase!” conversation.

Morning all i cant believe im up at this time
BG 7.5 why has mrs fairy played up today on the day of my appointment
Good news have been weighed and have losr 4 pounds so im a happy bunny
you all have a good day
lots of love

Morning 5.4 on waking today

The last few days on the reduced insulin seem to be going OK, but glad I’ve got the Libra to keep an eye on things, I had another pre-evening meal HS yesterday, I have also at the same time as the reduced insulin I’ve slightly increased well TBH not slightly have increased quite a lot of carbs, the last 3 evening meals I’ve actually had jacket potato, also had sausage sandwich for lunch (definitely ready for the higher Mounjaro dose that’s due this weekend)

spoke to the pharmacist yesterday, as still have quite a few questions that I didn’t get to ask my GP when we spoke on the phone a few days ago, sometimes a consultation over the phone can be so rushed especially as you only get about 5 min or to talk about 2 different things I think that’s how it works.

Looks like we are going to have nice weather again today, & into next week with rain tomorrow, I’m thinking it will probably rain when I go to do my football program.

Hope you all have a, Flipping Fantastic Friday Forum Friends

Morning All - oh gosh it's been a while and I can see from my profile pic that I need to catch up with the current weather as a snowy pic makes me feel cold - mind you - hubby flew to Tromso in Norway yesterday and is about to sail up to Svalbaard where I'm joining him in a month so maybe I'll leave the snowy pic for now. No excuse for being AWOL. TIR around 80% - I've become rather hooked on Cadbury's chocolate buttons before bed which I'm trying to nip in the bud and managed not to be lured by any last night (mainly because I'd resisted the temptation to buy them). Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all. 4.2, just rising from the hypo i had before waking. I remember the low alarm going off but went back to sleep as the last few mornings its done that i've not gone hypo. Oops.

Despite not feeling 100% yesterday I felt well enough to head to the pool before lunch and felt a lot better after my swim. We had a chicken chasseur for tea (my portion with riced cauli) and my post-prandial reading was where it usually is for that, so I was clearly back to normal. If further proof were needed, one of these this morning:-

1745565430859.png

BP was also OK at 118/69.

Friday is Big Shop Day and once that's out of the way I'll be back on decorating duty. Expect to get it finished over the weekend as there will be two of us on it.

No sign of the sun yet, and not likely to see much of it today if the forecast is right, but at least it's supposed to be staying dry.

Happy Anzac Day to any Aussies or Kiwis looking in.
