Group 7-day waking average?

late posting today just returned from my 3 month check at my Opticians after being diagnosed with DMO in January, as some of you may know I have not had any treatment due to my hospital phobia, I have been using the Noctura 400 sleep mask for the last 3 months and my Optician is amazed with my latest OCT scan and eye test, the swelling in my right eye was so bad I had a black shadow and couldn't see properly, the swelling has almost gone, and my other eye is also stable, he showed me the 2 scans and I couldn't believe the difference, he has been able to give me a new prescription which he wasn't happy about In January and has agreed to keep an eye on me in 6 months as long as things stay the same so I am a very happy bunny.

First set of blood test results back and hba1c was 35 with a fasting BG of 5.7 so they’re nicely consistent with recent numbers.

Most other things are fine apart from nucleated red blood cells and white blood cell counts. They’re both way outside reference ranges so the very least is that they have to be tested again. Of course Dr Google goes immediately to bone cancers being the happy soul he is.

ECG is Monday so I’ll book an appointment with the GP to discuss those results alongside the blood test ones I’m assuming maybe at the end of next week.

I don’t know how long it takes ECG results to come through. Anyone have a clue?

Then we can discuss next steps and further referrals.

And good morning one and all.

5.8

Morning and first up and should have dreamed off London Buses. After probably 3 months since previous HS nearly had two in two days with a 5.3.
But this one was different as no correction dose as think over bolused for tea and had a packet of crisps before bed.
Then alarm went off at 3.30 so 3 Dextrose to bring me close.
My BG has been behaving very well lately and back to 98% TIR and a 6.6 average.
Despite a very nice lunch at a traditional Tea Room including an ice cream as had plenty of time.
Back to Llangollen for a morning Meeting so again will be a really nice drive and then WFH tomorrow as have a 2 day Meeting in Manchester next week.
We usually have an activity and at night we are playing is it “Squid Game” which I have not got a clue what it entails but the choice was a Nice Meal out or the Game and the Vote was 5-4 with my boss having the casting Vote.
Mind you she will get some stick if we don’t enjoy it- only joking as we all get on well.
Our Jasmin got delivered yesterday morning and my wife has ordered a bulk bag of top soil and tree bark so the bottom of the garden is getting some attention.

Morning all. Up early again but not quite as early, small blessings. 7.4 today, the HS yesterday was obviously a rogue reading. Yesterday’s graph looks terrible, after my lunchtime spike, which is usual it just never came down. Hovered along the 10/11 line until bedtime. Didn’t go up any more after my tea just stayed static. Weird, stomach was fine ( ish) yesterday too. Could have been a stress thing maybe? Who knows. Let’s hope today is better. Going to be a long wait for my brekkie today I think.

We went on the 10.30 bus into the town yesterday with the girls and went to the big park in the centre of the city. We took a picnic and met middle daughter and baby Rocco. The sun was out but it wasn’t particularly warm, had a great time on the swings, slides and the sandpit. Bus home at 2pm and home by 2.30 where we ( except Eden Knieval) had quiet time, ie CBeebies. The whirlwind just whirled! In the end Mr Eggy took her for a wee walk in the buggy and she had a nap. Thank goodness. More childcare today as it swimming lesson day, last one for us as as well as us being on holiday Zara is moving into the next class and will be in the pool on her own and mummy and Eden can watch from the sidelines. But apparently, they’ll all still come for lunch on a Thursday! No rest for the wicked eh?

Great results @ColinUK

Have a great day folks. Supposed to be sunny again.

Here’s a photo to make you smile. Guess which one is the whirlwind!

Good morning. A naughty 7.1.
After a nasty morning yesterday, with vile pain in shoulders it seemed as though I was adding a bad palindomic arthrits flare to my woes, I fell asleep for 4 hours, waking to only mild discomfort. Wheeled myself to far end of house to inspect builders endeavours - not bad - 2 replacement walls and counterbattening to ceiling completed. Plasterer anticipated next week.
Late supper of scrambled eggs on toast and slept like log until .6.30. Forgot sll about blood test until I had taken morning drugs with happy mug of tea - amost zero pain transfering from bed to wheelchair. So I am ascribing high score to the tea...but slso planning on a very low carb day in case I am wrong.
A long splashy wash on the agenda followed by research into floor tiles. Cant wait to get all the braces etc off and sinking into a deep hot bath...only a month to go hopefully. Meanwhile more practice in standing on one leg - the crutches in the corner are calling to me!

Lovely clear morning. Lawn outside in dire need of mowing but I refuse to pay somebody to do it so I am declaring its no- mow May for me this year - although I might let Peachy have a munch if the boys can ensure she cant escape.

Daughter rang for long chat. Now on new treatment to mop up any rogue cancer cells which might plan on invading bones. Very up beat as yesterdays dose didnt produce nasty effects of last one. She is off to look at a rather dated bungalow today. Good location and reasonable price (estate sale). Fingers crossed.
Hope everyone having a good day.

Morning all. 🙂 8.3 for me.

Left a message for my DSN with the Hwb / Hub yesterday morning (there’s no direct contact anymore) and she phoned me in the afternoon. She’ll talk to the consultant today about switching me to a different insulin and phone me tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed...

I’ve got a Welsh course on Teams this morning and tomorrow morning too. Should be good - I want to do the advanced exam next summer, so I need to pull my finger out. Sunny again!

A 4.6 for me this morning. I don't think I posted yesterday's which was 5.3. 🙄
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning 5.5 today

Yesterday fitted in our kitchen windowsill & started some organising in garage, that challenge is a good few days work, but as my wife reminded me we won’t be moving again, things in boxes & crates need to be in drawers & labelled for ease of finding in the future, there’s also loads that need selling or giving away disposing of, like my father was I can be a bit of a hoarder sometimes.

My blood sugars over the last 2 days seem to have behaved so-far on the reduced insulin, maybe is it to soon to say that’s going well, I’m unsure and after all only the second day on the latest reduction,
questions going round and round in my head main one is that maybe to soon to see 😳

went out yesterday evening and as dinner was going to be quite late, when my Libra showed I was dropping into the low zone, had a bottle of regular coke ( so glad I’ve the reassurance of CGM) interestingly that took me from 4.2 up to 7 & then back down to 5.1 just 90 min later (ok this wasn’t confirmed with BGM FP test) but to me re-assuring and interesting to see.

I ate a small jacket spud again yesterday evening, and for the second day running I had it served with my wife’s home made chilli, I’m trying to see at the same time as reduced insulin increasing carbs slightly (kind of acid test)
some of you will remember I’ve posted before that both GP & DSN we’re trying to get me off insulin on a 6 month program back last summer, however at the time I wasn’t myself happy with that, when I saw the consultant at the hospital (last September) he agreed with me, especially as Empagliflozin gave me side effects, its going to be interesting to see how the next month goes, and I’m going to ask to see him again

I’m still off work but have given plenty of thought to what I needs to happen to get back to work, if not before when my current sick note expires which will be a week into next month, won’t say to much about that on, before I speak to my employer on that subject

Im going to walk to the pharmacy shortly, then clearing in garage, & take a swim later

have a Terrific Thursday everyone

Good Morning Everyone 6.3 this morning, an improvement on a read couple of days back at 7.3. Going to try cooking my first curry in a Wonderbag today to see how it works.

Wishing everyone a good glucose enjoyable day.

Good morning folks. The sun has finally come out though showers are forecast later.
A 7.1 for me this morning, let's hope the downward trend continues. My next hba1c test is due soon.
Taking a walk to the end of our road to speak to the roadworks supervisor about residential access. The top part of the road which joins the main road will be closed for 6 weeks from today. The diversion route is nearly 4 miles on a horrible bumpy Fen road.
Congratulations on the HbA1c result @ColinUK I hope you get the results from your ECG soon and blood tests investigated further.
Wishing everyone a good Thursday and sending virtual hugs to anybody having a rough day.

Morning all. A 6.7 for me.

Congrats on the amazing HbA1c @ColinUK

Hope the insulin switch happens smoothly, and helps with your levels @Bloden

Got up this morning not feeling 100% so not surprised to find myself in sixland for the first time this month - 6.3 when I tested. Been to Morrisons, have had breakfast and feel a little better now and will hopefully be OK for my usual Thursday swim. I was wrong about the leisure centre being less busy on Tuesday as some schools hadn't gone back - Inset Day for some, most likely.

Spent a large part of yesterday decorating and will carry on today. 2 door frames left to paint, then it's just walls and ceilings. At least they're mostly roller and not brush. My wife has gone for everything being the same colour - skirting boards, door frames, walls and ceilings. Apparently that's the in-thing at the moment. Sounds odd but she showed me photos and it actually looks OK, and at least she's picked a light colour - Dulux Polished Pebble. I do love the variety of names they come up with for paint colours.

Well done @ColinUK on your HbA1c result, and I hope your repeat blood tests and your ECG result are good.

@goodybags - your garage sounds like ours, which has even more in it since our boys took up golf. One thing it's never had in it, by the way, is a car.

Cool and overcast here, but dry and no rain forecast. BBC forecast is for sunshine and low-to-mid 20s next week. I hope they're right.
