Group 7-day waking average?

Morning and congrats on the HS Gwynn.
I must have had one somewhere as 5.8 when first woke, then dropped to 3.8 on getting up and a 6.6 after walking dogs but a nice overnight line in 5s and no interruptions.Just must improve my wake up timing to get a HS.
Very nice day yesterday spent bit of time in garden but my BG level drops so quickly after just a small amount of “ graft” that I have to have something to eat if I want to continue.Whilst nice in some ways I just wish I could stay out longer as I much prefer working fast than slow.
My wife is fantastic in terms of support but sometimes she says why don't I stay out longer. Or like this morning I decided to have a slice of toast as I woke up low but then changed my mind as DP kicked in and she got frustrated with me changing my mind at short notice but it does really throw me out unless I go out for a walk straight away when I just want to go out later.
Gardener coming today so will be out there doing a little bit but great to have a peaceful w/ end and all shopping done so have a good one.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate. And may all your chocolate bunnies and eggs be just the perfect size to sate your appetite without spiking your BG!

7.4 this morning. Stomach is churning away so much it sounds like there’s a storm going on in there. Was constipated early in the week and it’s taking an age for my digestive system to settle back down into a natural rhythm it seems. But it’ll get there in its own sweet time.

Went to the theatre yesterday. Saw The Great Gatsby. It’s a new musical that’s won awards on Broadway (admittedly it won them for costume) and has opened here at the Coliseum for a limited run.

I posted this on Reddit:

Saw Gatsby today (19th April) and was really willing it to be good.

It’s average.

The set could be spectacular if it wasn’t so reliant on screens. It means that there’s hardly any soft things on stage so it impacts the sound, giving it a harsh edge.

The songs are OK. They’re better on the cast recording where they don’t suffer from being sung in a vast echoey space.

The real issue for me is the book. It’s a story with some seriously unpalatable characters and it just doesn’t really work as a musical, at least not this musical.

Some audience members left at the interval and didn’t return. Others were saying that they also didn’t particularly like the songs. Some were saying that the dancing was as if Fosse had a second cousin who had decided to choreograph something vaguely set in the 20’s.

It’s not a bad show but it’s firmly average. Even Jamie Muscato, who sings his socks off, can’t seem to find his way to making us really care about Gatsby and that’s a shame.

5.6 for me today, but it involved a 7unit correction at a very early bedtime of 8.30pm for a 16.3 with a vertical upward arrow and then required 1 JB about 2am to deal with a 3.5mmol low, in order to get through the night. I got very stressed last night and binged.... I ate a whole 4pack of Lidl Deluxe Hot Cross Buns without prebolusing, but did jab appropriate insulin just before I ate each one.... and I washed them down with a double G&T then followed by a single with some olives and feta, when I haven't had any alcohol for many months. On the whole I think 1JB overnight and a 5.6 waking reading is a bit of a triumph under the circumstances. Woke up early and feel remarkably refreshed despite my indulgence, but can't afford to let that happen too often!! It was a bit of a blow out!

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Morning all Happy Easter to all Hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to the day ahead. I had the luxury of real butter on my marmite/toast today, it was yummy, shall not do it again quite a few cals in it.
O yes nearly forgot BG was 5.3 well chuffed with that
We have lamb with the works for dinner today, guess whos going to have the lot ( in moderation). Feeling pretty positive today for some reason, long may it last.
Take csre everyone best to everyone especially anyone whos struggling

A 5.4 for me after a disturbed night with idiots letting off fireworks at 1:50AM and again at 4:50AM. 😡

Morning

A terrible 7.2 after indulging in cake, chocolate and crackers yesterday. Today I will be much better, going for a walk and coffee with friends, thankfully still dry here, although pretty grey and cooler. The rest of the day will be spent relaxing, knitting or crotchet and watching the Grand Prix. Only th8ng I am doing is cooking a roast dinner for 2 so not exactly hard work.

Have a fab Easter to those who celebrate.

Morning all, 6.1 here. My nose stopped dripping like a tap around 1am, and I finally got to sleep, and I’ve had a bit of a lie in this morning. Hope I've kicked this cold into touch, and it gets the message that I could really do with it not starting up again!

Back to blue sky and sunshine here, at least until lunchtime according to our forecast, and a 5.9 on the meter.

Successful shopping trip to Basingstoke yesterday, but for a totally unexpected reason. A few weeks ago I broke one of my wife's Peanuts mugs and despite trawling the internet I couldn't find a replacement. I found the exact same one, brand new and still in its box, in a shop inside the Festival Place shopping centre. Did some clothes shopping too, and I had a nice Caesar Salad for lunch in one of the eateries. We'll definitely be going again, especially in the run up to Xmas.

My wife has just about finished preparing the hall, stairs and landing walls for painting and I expect we'll get started on that today with a view to getting it done and dusted by the end of tomorrow.

Congrats @Gwynn on this morning's HS.

Happy Easter Sunday. No Easter egg for me (my choice) but 3 bars of my favourite Kernow extra dark chocolate, fresh from the sweet shop in Fowey.

Good morning. 8.8 for me. Probably the roasted veggies with lamb yesterday although I only had one spud and the rhubarb crumble was nice too. I added the stevia leaves and it tasted fine. Mostly rhubarb and a desert spoon of crumble.

Congrats on your HS (again!) @GwynnScreenshot_20250420_092150_WhatsApp.jpg

Hubby's birthday as well today. I am cooking him a nice steak later. He prefers it at home rather than eating out. Then off to the cinema to see Amateur.
Have a nice Easter Sunday for those who celebrate it.

Morning all. 4.1!! Yesterday was a day of spikes and a couple of hypos. Being out and having a couple of drinks, then walking to the restaurant, sitting in the theatre then walking to where we were being picked up from caused these. I had a 2u correction before bed and upped my basal by 1u. I needed a couple of JBs overnight but the drop was slow and steady. Today is a more normal day so i'll see how the basal increase works out. Johannes in Kinky Boots last night was fab-u-lous, all the cast were really. It was a lovely day and a great night out.

@rebrascora a good result and i hope you're feeling less stressed today.

Morning all and 5.1 for me.

Electric kettle just decided to die on the one day we can't get another. Argos on Monday.

Don't usually go in for Sunday roasts bout we've got a nice lump of gammon to go with roasties, veg and Yorkshire's .

Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone. A 5.5 for me on this sunny Sunday.

Have a good rest of the day folks.

Morning all. 7.7 which isn’t bad after having a birthday. Busy, but enjoyable, day yesterday ending with a lovely meal out. Thanks for all the good wishes.

I’ve been trying to write this since 7.30! Firstly, Zara got up, then Poppy, then we saw a red squirrel and a hare, then everyone else got up except Eden. Then grandson came to borrow eggs as the other lodge had run out, ie grandson was charged with bringing them and he forgot. We then cooked full English for 8! Remind me to never open a B&B! Stressed! Cleaned up, more squirrels than we can shake a stick at, coming straight up to the patio door whilst we were standing there. What a wonderful treat for the children, and us TBF. I’ll download my real camera photos when I get home tomorrow, WiFi isn’t brilliant here. Finally, I’ve got a minute, everyone, except me and Mr E has gone out, I’m still in my PJs. I’ve set up my new Apple Watch that the girls got me for my birthday. Loving it.Going to get showered soon, it’s a lovely day and we’re going out for a walk soon. This afternoon we’re going to take the babies to the park so their parents, siblings, cousins can have a decent session at the pools. Looking forward to coming home tomorrow for a rest! 😉

Haven’t had time to look at all the posts from late yesterday or this morning but will try to catch up soon. Have a lovely day whatever you’re doing.

Here’s a photo from the restaurant last night. Eden not looking at the camera, but look at Rocco’s face! What a poser!

we've got a nice lump of gammon to go with roasties, veg and Yorkshires .
Snap! We usually have a gammon joint at Xmas as well as turkey but we're having 'Xmas Ham' for Easter, it's already in the slow cooker and there's a lovely aroma coming from the kitchen.

7.2 for me which was most surprising as I ate quite a lot of Js chocolate box after 9pm up to midnight - I had collected for her in secret during Lent. She enjoyed receiving her giant thornt'ns egg this morning too, she was quite exasperated and full of questions. I'll probably escort her to church tonight as of her wont - I'm just a very amateur amateur at it all.

A warm day today with plenty of blue and sunshine, at 15C with light winds so not so bad.

Congratulations @Gwynn on your galloping HSs and the one today.

12:02 BS 8.9 Tresiba, pills & drops in! Now then, do I go back to bed or do I eat?

A Very G’Day Mates to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

It was very chilly again last night & my wrist was aching a bit so, it took me so a long time to drop off!

I considered getting up earlier 07:28 BS 6.9 after a call of nature but, considered too long & dozed off again! 🙄

5.8 this morning more gardening today daughter managed to brake the garden fork yesterday and its typical Easter Sunday everywhere is closed so we cant get a new one, also hobby has banned me from going to garden centres for a while, we found a new place yesterday and spent far to much money, but in my defence they had some fantastic offers for example various bedding plants were 10 plants for £17.50 this included Fuchsia and a few others that come back. so I picked 20 and on top of that some small bushes, hope everyone has a lovely day

Congratulations @Gwynn on your HSs
