Group 7-day waking average?

5.0 for me the first time I woke up when Ian gave me my early morning call, but because I didn't get finished at the yard till nearly 11pm and therefore didn't take my Amitriptyline til after that, I was very groggy this morning and fell asleep again before I injected my insulin and got up. My second waking reading nearly an hour later was 6.0. Blooming heck I was stiff getting out of bed and trying to walk this morning. Felt like a 90 year old! Thankfully I am easing up now that I have got going and feeling more like the 61yr old I am but hoping to get near 50 by lunchtime when I will be hot footing it down to the GP surgery for what is presumably an ecg. The nurse said they want to monitor my heart before they start me on BP tablets.

Good to see you back @Gwynn and to hear that things have improved with your wife's mental health. Hope you are able to continue your walking and that perhaps she can join you sometimes. Walking is so good for your mental and physical health if you can motivate yourself to get out there. Hope things continue to improve for you both. Your BG meter certainly seems to be doing it's best to give you a good outcome. Congrats on all your HSs.

7.8 this morning. Our meal out was a bit of a shambles. We were all squashed down one end of the restaurant. The service wasn't great. 3 of the meals were wrong and had to go back. Two people didn't get their main course until after everyone else had finished. The landlord was rude and accused us of upsetting one of his waiting staff. All in all very disappointing. We won't be going there again.
Off to do our pre Easter shopping later.

The landlord should take note of one of the rules of customer service - if a customer is pleased they'll tell a few, if they're not pleased they'll tell everyone.

@ Colin when you say not the best sleep was had last night, was probably slightly better than my slightly longer than 40 winks, because according to my smart watch, I actually got a total of 1hr 13min, including only 4 minutes of snoring

anyway good news is Hba1c came in at yesterday at 46 looked on the NHS app earlier
the results now there to be seen, very different to pre my latest change of prescribed medication at the middle of last year… results … see below

anyway I’m actually back to bed for afternoon nap
internet engineers been here this morning working both outside our bungalow & in cherry pickers up poles etc..
engineer assured me that connection will be live once Vodafone / City Fibre both recognise my hub is online :party:I’m assured it will be rocket fast, well somewhere between 600&900 mbps with a guaranteed min of 300mbps … whoosh

off for a nap shortly but left my mobile switched on as expecting a phone call with GP whenever he / she schedules me to do my follow up medication review etc.. etc.. GP messaged me a sick note yesterday, was slightly suprised how long for (30 days)

BS rose to 10:11 BS 15.1 by the time I put in NR for a ready meal of salmon tagliatelle. Ear infection definitely still there as the higher tones of the waiting music felt uncomfortable at first & then, got painful as I waited longer on the queue!

Ahhh! It’s raining cats & dogs out there today! Just got a call from a GP about 12:15 to be seen at 12:45 so, I rushed out of the house in 5 minutes for taxi at 12:20 as there wouldn’t be any until after 1pm! Mad dash to brush my hair, put on my socks & shoes, grab both phones in handbag with keys! Was panting heavily when I got in the taxi! Still I was grateful to be seen as the GPs were only on half day today until 1pm & not on in the afternoon with Easter holidays coming up. Got different ear drops that are one use only for both ears as the other left ear is infected now too. Twice a day for 7 days & 14 capsules with enough for one use in both ears & chuck it! Seen & out by 12:50 but, no taxis until after 2pm they were so busy. Picked up my prescription & waited ages for them to dispense of which, they only have 10 capsules left so, the other four will be delivered tomorrow, hopefully so, I can start them now! Was out of the house for over two hours with my BS rising & couldn’t do anything about it. But, back in the house now & will have lunch, do my ears & have a nice hot bath before going to bed! It was a good thing I’d just taken my basal & pills when GP called me earlier before I rushed out! I’m EXHAUSTED! o_O A rather wet & bedraggled Little Miss Gloomy Skies today & NOWHERE NEAR being a Little Miss Sunshine! Ah well! o_O
 
Late again another shopping trip hubby is putting up new fence up in the front Garden over the Easter break weather permitting so we've just been to get what he needs, he decided to use fence post spikes this time, just collected them from Screwfix there massive I was shocked how long the spikes are.almost forgot BS was 5.2 this morning congrats to all who joined me.

Good afternoon everyone. 5'9 when I woke up at the ungodly hour of 5 am. I wish I got paid extra for days like this!

Very grateful my walk to work was dry, because last night I got in bed before 11 and I could hear a big storm. I am glad it didn't catch me outside.

Yesterday's coffee meeting went better than expected. Low attendance but it allowed me to have nice one on one conversations. I can be a bit quiet in the bigger group meetings, when there are people with stronger personalities.
 
@Colin g Actually we hardly got any precipitation either. Just enough to make surfaces look damp but hasn't created any mud and I think it is actually warmer. I have walked the mile and a half along to the docs and then back this afternoon without even a fleece, let alone a coat. I did pass a guy who made comment about "Was I not cold?" as he apparently had a fleece and a coat on, but I am guessing he wasn't a true local. 🙄 I did suggest it helps to walk faster as the heat radiated off me! To be fair, he was meandering down hill, whilst I was yomping up it.
The ecg was funny! The nurse took a first trace and then said whilst she was looking at it, that she likes to always do a second trace and then suddenly said Oh dear! in a concerned voice as if something was very obviously wrong, then realised how that sounded and explained she had an error showing on the machine and didn't know how to get rid of it.... but that my trace was fine and I wasn't about to die! Phew!
 
5.8 this morning, white cloud and light winds this a.m., pity it didn't stay that way... a trifle damp now.

Good morning.

My run of 5.2s has faded into history with a 5.6 this morning.

Today a strange visit to the gp physio at 9am. They say that I now have osteo arthritis the osteopath I saw after the physio says I don't. Had an NHS X Ray but no one bothered to tell me the result. I want to see it and discuss it with someone qualified. Some chance of that. The physio I have seen and will see today is a very pretty 18yr old (well she looks 18), so little experience there.

I haven't been able to go out walking since before Christmas due to my right hip being very painful. And yet bit by bit the hip seems to be getting better all by itself. Can arthritis do that? The pain seems to be more in the ligaments and backside. Is that right for a damaged hip?

Got up at 3:30am (normal for me). There's ice in the front garden, so its very cold out there. Not looking forward to putting the bins out this morning!

Good morning from Turkey! My holiday started with a fanfare (aka low glucose alarm) and a reading of 3.9 on the Libre, confirmed with a fp of 3.6. So I'm lying in bed sucking on a glucose tablet, waiting for it to come up a bit before heading to the kitchen for coffee and a bite to eat. I didn't eat much yesterday what with the travelling.
I had a long, but uneventful journey yesterday and the weather looks beautiful with a forecast of 27 degrees.
