Group 7-day waking average?

@Robin Am I sensing potentially roast venison for Easter lunch?

7.7 for me a tad bit more than i like but im happy with it

Morning folks. 🙂 7.1 here. That’s better.

It’s slapping it down outside but, according to the forecast, it’ll be gone by midday along with the wind. A morning of life admin beckons while hubby goes out to do the weekly shop. I might nip to the garden centre later - I need one of those weeding devices to deal with the army of dandelions. I don’t mind a smattering of ‘dant y llew’ but an invasion? No thanks.

Keep dry if you can!

Morning everyone. A 4.9 for me on a very windy and cloudy day.

Have a great day folks and stay well.

@Gwynn good to see you back on here and I'm glad things are improving for you.
A 5.5 for me this morning with lots of rain on the way.

Dez

Morning

5.1 again today, more housework and crotchet, plus going out with the running group again, more walking than running at the moment but trying to get my mojo back.

@Gwynn - nice to see you back, and that things have improved for your wife. Congratulations on all those HS.

6.6 this morning, those electrolyte tablets are definitely helping me hydrate better than just plain water, thus fingers are becoming more prickable :D I've got fab puffy finger pads now.

You could make dandelion honey from the flowers, or dandelion tea, has lots of health benefits. Check out you tube. 🙂

08:28 BS 11.8 & a very hilly night where I went up & down with a series of hills that gradually got smaller towards the morning. I did wake briefly to scan & got some 16’s, 15’s & 14’s but, carried on sleeping til the morning to see where BS ends up at?

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m not completely sure my ear infection is completely cleared yet & will set an alarm to get up for the 08:30 phone queue to see the GP in the morning: missed it today as I got moving out of bed too slowly & just back from a call of nature, sitting up in bed posting this at 09:21 as I type! BS is on the rise already 09:02 12.8 just before I started typing so, need to get breakfast & some NR before it rises much higher! Sigh! The ear spray, now that I’m back online, isn’t a repeatable prescription anymore & is on request, for how long this was the case I don’t know, & the caveat is, on a note every time I get it, “If it doesn’t clear up in 7 days make an appointment to see a GP” so, that’s what I’ll do. I remember that happened once & I needed some oral antibiotics as well!

Bloody hell, I wish my levels would settle! Very slow reaction to my evening meal at 6pm, so when just 5.2 at 9pm decided to take a small bowl of cornflakes. Went to bed at 10pm, showing 8 units but the arrow not going up or down. At 6am woke to find BS 11.6 and rising.

Oh well, saving the data to discuss with the clinic.

Gwynn, welcome back.

Nick

7.1 this morning, quite high for me but probably something to do with a hot cross bun last night. Oh well, it is Easter!

Congratulations @Gwynn on yet another HS! So glad that life is treating you better now.

A day in today before babysitting my wife’s nephew’s children this evening. Will have to take the laptop as my course is tonight between 7pm and 9pm and I really want to watch the live tutorial as we get nearer to the exam.

Have a good day everyone, hope the wind doesn’t blow any of us away!

5.1 for me on a sunny but blustery Berkshire morning. A wet afternoon yesterday put paid to my painting but I can get back on it today and hopefully finish it all off. Wednesday's usually my home alone day but with my wife WFH all week, and our youngest taking a day's holiday, no such luck. At least it's still the day that everyone cooks their own tea.

@Eternal422 - I used to love a hot cross bun (or two) but when my wife bought a pack of Apple & Cinnamon ones from Waitrose at the weekend, and offered me one, I checked the carbs and it said 40g per bun, so I politely declined.

@Gwynn - good to see you back, and with some good news regarding your wife, plus a bunch of HSs too.

Have a good day, everyone. Coffee and newspaper time for me before I get changed into my painting kit.

Saw the GP this afternoon. Went through lots of detail and reviewed meds plus the supplements I take.
All of them are fine apart from biotin. He said it plays havoc with lots of blood tests so yes I can continue to take it, no it doesn’t have any negative impact on medications but the guidance is to stop taking it three days before any blood test.
He did say that Mounjaro and metformin can interfere with each other and cause very low blood sugar levels. I pointed out that I had my first “wobble” two years ago and only started taking MJ in September. So that’s unlikely to be the cause.
He doesn’t think it’s postural and said it would be very unusual symptoms for TIA, but of course medicine isn’t perfect etc…
First step is full suite of bloods and an ECG. Then it’ll be a three day harness ECG thing and a referral to neurology.
Good to know about the Biotin Colin, thanks for sharing. I hope whatever ails you comes right soon.

Just eating now after being on the phone for ages just in case there is an appointment to see GP but, no! Describing symptoms to phone triage & may get something else from chemist later this afternoon after 4pm. If not I’ll call again earlier at 08:30 tomorrow?

BS rose to 10:11 BS 15.1 by the time I put in NR for a ready meal of salmon tagliatelle. Ear infection definitely still there as the higher tones of the waiting music felt uncomfortable at first & then, got painful as I waited longer on the queue!

Happy Easter Everyone and Happy BG levels :D 😉 😛

Morning all and 5.3 for me.

Grey and mizzling outside.

@Gwynn good to see you back and still tickling the ivories.

We're starting to get gig offers for 2026, where does the tine go. One in Bulgaria seems to be in the cards. That'll be a first for us.

Have a good day everyone.

I’m tempted!
Our broad beans were decimated last year by a couple of muntjac. We have fencing round the veggies too. BTW I hear they taste better in the autumn after fattening up on your apples. Venison casserole for Halloween anyone?
