Other foot also a bit sore as previous dressing was too tight but will report in thread - a slight step back after recent gains. Was a long day as arrived 1.5 hours early, on time appointment and 3+hour wait after plus journey time as local Podiatry Clinic was booked out.

Good morning II! Woke to a 9.7 again at around 8:00am. Looks like it dropped to about 7 at 6:00 and crept up again. DF and DP probably playing around

Still very cloudy but joined by mizzle with occasional gusts if wind!
 
Morning all from a very wet and very windy Rydal. 5.4.

The River Rothay has well and truly burst it’s banks. We aren’t going anywhere today, which is a shame, but we don’t want to be that couple on the news that have had to be helicoptered down from a fell or rescued from a swollen river! Foolhardy to leave the warmth and safety of our little apartment. Lots of reading will be done. Mr Eggy will get itchy feet, he’s not a big reader, he’ll do a lot of looking out of the window!

Had a good day yesterday, glad we decided to bag our Wainwright when we did, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the weather and although tomorrow is forecast mostly dry, Darragh will still be hanging around so not good for climbing fells. A flat ( ish) walk tomorrow.

Keep safe everyone especially @Bloden and @TinaD ( hope you’ve got Peaches tied down!)

5.7 for me on a very windy Berkshire morning, though no rain to speak of yet. Noticed when I got up that the cover on our garden furniture had blown away. Had visions of it being somewhere down the road but found it in a corner of the garden - phew!

Our two boys have tickets for Luton v Swansea, so they'll be setting off later. Hopefully the game won't be a victim of the weather. Some matches are postponed already, including the Merseyside Derby. My wife and I planned on heading over to nearby Henley-on-Thames today to do a bit of Xmas shopping, but maybe not if the weather's bad. There's no indoor shopping mall in Henley.

Hope Darragh's not giving anyone grief. Have a good day and stay safe.

Morning All

4.8 and no plans today due to the weather, I will stay home and crotchet. Hubby has to work later so will be a bit of a challenge for him getting there as the Dartford Bridge is closed, and although they are using one of the tunnels it always causes traffic jams where we live, might also affect the amount of lorrys arriving at the depot.

Hoping everyone is staying safe, especially @TinaD and @Bloden or any other of our forum friends who are in the worst of the storm.

Morning all. 6.3 for me on waking. Unsettled night because the storm winds kept waking me up. My internet connection went down just before breakfast and is only now back up again. I'm just thankful that my power didn't go out and that my street is showing no signs of damage - some of the gusts we had overnight were in excess of 110km/h.

Good morning. 7.4 on rising but had been awake for 3 hours. The soundscape raised expectations of Cathy running across the paddocks shouting for Heathcliff.

So far all well, roofs still on, hatches remain battened. Wolf and Peachy OK, minor power cut overnight but up and running now. I forgot to bring in my plastic weeding chair - hopefully it has gone to join its little friend the weeding bag, currently bobbing frustratedly against the sheep netting. It is great living near the coast but I prefer for the wind to be a little less than Beaufort Scale 8. Over an inch in the Dog bowl this morning and a little sideways rain persisting down.

Stay safe everyone - be sensible like @eggyg and read a book until the storm abates.
 
Morning all. 8.3. Here we have wind and heavy rain so all i plan to do today is wrap some presents and read or crochet. Stay warm, dry and safe everyone.

Evening bolus is having a wander around at the moment. Hopefully get it right to night.

Looks like we're not getting the worst of the storm here but don't have to go out anyway.

Went for my prescription and no Creon but as I got the arrears from my previous prescription I'm ok for now.

Hello weekend 6.6 today
a lay in following a disturbed nights sleep, ok so we’re not in the thick of it here, but still it woke us both up, just weighed myself no weight loss this week, I know I need more excercise, even though I’ve been at work Tuesday through to yesterday wasn’t physically active rally this week.

Hope everybody’s safe, warm & dry whilst Darren throws everything he’s got at us

5.4 this morning.

Bit windy here, thought we’d lost the bbq cover but thankfully I had tied it to one of the bbq legs and it was still there, just blown off the bbq itself. Thankfully no other damage, I dread looking out at the garden first thing and worry the fences will have blown down.

Stay safe everyone, hope everyone is ok, especially our Welsh friends who seem to be bearing the worst of Storm Darragh.

Morning everyone from a very wet and windy Bedfordshire. It was a 4.8 for me earlier this morning and I’m not even going out of the house while this wind is blowing.

All you folks that are getting the worst weather stay in and stay safe.

Morning all - like everyone else we have strong winds, but no rain at the moment. Windows are covered in salt from the wind, but we don't seem to have any damage so far.

6.8 first thing. Late afternoon yesterday I took off the sensor that kept losing signal with the pod. It had 5 days left on it but I shall be ringing Abbot. The new sensor seems to be maintaining signal through the night which is good!

We are supposed to be bussing into town this afternoon to meet friends. I hope I can persuade hubby it's not a good idea at all!

Good morning everyone! Similar to yesterday, 9'8, but with less sleep.

Last night was absolute madness at work. A lot of parties happening everywhere at the same time, I had to move constantly from one room to another and they were all loud with a variety of sounds. As an example, within a few minutes:

Room A: Dancing queeeen, young and sweet only seventeeeeeen...

Room B: *Deafening conversations of lot of people in a small space*

Room C: FORGET ABOUT YOUR BOYFRIEND AND MEET ME IN THE HOTEL ROOM! o_O

I'm laughing about it now but it was a bit overwhelming. I finished at midnight and was back at 6 am this morning. Some customers have mentioned how I surely didn't have much time to sleep, and while I'm sure they mean well and are just trying to make friendly conversation, a little part of me thinks "why do you rub it on my face like this?" 🙄:D
