Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning 6.4

Lousy night awake with the abdabs. I'll be glad when the next 2-3 months are over.

Still a bit grey outside but a few shafts of sunlight keep breaking through. One of them is a somewhat miffed letter from the solicitor (who has been untruthfully telling purchasers lot that we were not ready, despite my instructions). Anyway she has now agreed to comply and completion date is fixed for the 6th. Cheeky Madam warned me to check on the cost of my purchase falling through. I took a slight pleasure in pointing out that the storage cost + livery was actually lower than my heating cost and that my accommodation would be free. Makes one wonder whether she has no friends or family!

Emptying the polytunnel today and making a run to the tip. What an exciting life...

Have a good day all. Hope the storm causes you no problems.

Morning all on another grey but dry one. Expecting storm Darragh late tonight.

5.3 this morning. I'm really pleased with that, especially as there's a nice flat line to go with it. I was woken by an alarm this morning at 6 am. It seems determined to rob me of sleep. This time it was telling me that it had lost connection with the sensor. I really didn't want it going off every 5 minutes so I switched it to manual and it reverted to Basal 1. This sensor has been regularly playing up and I think I ought to take it off and ring Abbott as it has 6 days to go, but actually I don't have another sensor. Hopefully my prescription is ready at Boots, but as they haven't messaged me I can't count on it. It's awkward as the pod has just run out and if I put on a new sensor I need to put the pod on the same side, which will be the opposite side to the one the sensor is on now..... arghhhh this HCL is more trouble than it's worth!

Discovered a new recipe for mashed potatoes yesterday. I was moving the Sabrina Ghayour cook book and it fell open at a recipe for Spiced Turmeric Mash. Great as I tolerate potatoes well. It was a pretty yellow and absolutely delicious, a hint of heat and delightful subtle flavours of cumin and coriander. We had it with Toulouse sausages brought home from France last night and enough left for tonight's dinner which is likely to be pork chops.

Nothing on today except a trip to Boots and then more work on the Christmas Newsletter and try to get the pesky Xmas cards written. Not my favourtite task by any means.

Fabulous photos as ever @eggyg.

Glad your Solicitor has finally taken some notice of you @TinaD

Have a happy day everyone.

We may even have a possible completion date - although it was suggested by the purchasers solicitor. 17th Jan sounds good to me. Phew!

This is why I dispair of lots of tradespeople, if only they would communicate and do as they say!

Hello everyone! 9'5. Could be better, but could also be worse.

Tea of the day is Christmas Tea. I prefer the M&S one, but will give it a miss this year as I have plenty of teas at home. A new favourite is the chocolate digestives flavour by Bird and Blend. Delicious!

I went to the cinema last night to watch Wicked with a friend from book club. It's the first time we hang out outside the cafe and we had a great time <3

This morning I got tired of being in double digits so I took a very efficient unit of NR which brought me down 5 mmol in an hour. I think I'm going to leave the Metformin after this week. It seems better to focus on adjusting my basal and bolus properly. Ideally I'll get a better hang on it before my holiday, where my BG levels always tend to be higher.

Was a 5 8 for me this morning. After low alarm went off three times with a 4.1 .the last few days this has happened both day and night .Jbs and chocolate ain't doing there bit.And I haven't had a liver dump yet . Probably tonight when I'm in bed . Haven't had much sleep last few nights anyways with taking these painkillers for my knee and hips .See how it goes .Stay safe folks and don't forget to baton the hatches down for this storm that's forecast.

Morning all. 6.3 after a restless sleep. Too hot, too cold, couldn't get comfortable...

Not much planned for today apart from putting the christmas tree up.
We bagged a Wainwright today @freesia. Loughrigg Fell. This is the trig point that marks it, it doesn’t count unless you have a photo! They don’t all have trigs, sometimes there’s just a cairn, a huge pile of stones in other words. I think that’s number 16. The hardest bit was going down the other side. My legs were like jelly!

Wow! It looks high! Well done on climbing it. I'm not surprised your legs were jelly. Any more planned on your trip?

Don’t think so. Tomorrow is looking to be a washout, literally, and gusts of wind up to 60mph in the lowlands, goodness knows what they’ll be a few hundred meters high! Sunday looks better but think it’ll be a flatish walk as the ground is absolutely sodden everywhere. Mr Eggy slipped today, he’s unhurt but he was a tad muddy!
Then home Monday. I’m quite happy we’ve done one!

As long as you've had a good time and stayed safe, you can do another one another time.

Good moaning/morning! Jolted awake by Phantom Pain that would not settle so hoping painkiller cuts in soon. Might try the odd Wordle. BTW BG 9.7 (97 is highest two digit prime).

Other foot also a bit sore as previous dressing was too tight but will report in thread - a slight step back after recent gains. Was a long day as arrived 1.5 hours early, on time appointment and 3+hour wait after plus journey time as local Podiatry Clinic was booked out.

Cloudy (no visible stars) and chilly.
