Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all 4.5 for me Had breakfast of low sugar marmalade on 2 rounds whole meal toast by time nurse came bg was 15.8 she tested for ketones 0.3 Maybe the marmalade wasnt ls who knows

Morning all

4.9 after a night spent in the bathroom, think that is enough said. No plans today other than trying to work, I am exhausted as didn’t get much sleep, but will do what I can. Maybe do a little crotchet in my lunch break and after work if I feel up to it.

Nice and sunny here at the moment, but I would happily swap with @ColinUK, enjoy your trip into the mountains

More likely the toast, unless you had half a jar of marmalade. 2 teaspoons marmalade would only be about 6g carbs whereas the toast more like 36g carbs.

not the toast dont think as its normally marmite on toast i have and that dont spike me Maybe the Diabetic Fairy is playing up

Good morning. 6.4 Sick of high figures and feeling hungry/glum so made a very nice risotto last evening - BS down 0.3...also slept a bit better. Weird.

Decided time to bite the bullet and order cardboard boxes even if it is tempting providence. I can always put them in the loft if the conveyances fall through. Not looking forward to packing workshop - particularly as local storage people only have one container possibly available. 12m of benches, 6 x 6x4 shelving units, concrete mixer, table saw, mitre saw, fret saw, 2 strimmers, 3 hedge cutters etc. Don't even think about the hand tools, ride-on, and stable stuff...EEK!

A bit grey and chilly but no rain.

Have a good day everyone.

Oh no @Grannylorraine I was the same on Tuesday evening. Was scared to go to bed. But was fine yesterday. I suspect mine was not enough Creon with my tea! I had to keep pausing Bake Off to dash upstairs!

Morning all on this very dull Cornish day.

5.3 this morning - a surprise really, but nice flat line overnight. Good since we had some South African sausage (a disappointment, we expected spicy and it wasn't) and mashed potatoes with various veg last night. Ham hock and finish the mash tonight.

Meeting my friend in town today for lunch and then we're going to see Paddington in Peru. The two previous Paddington films were rather charming, hope this one is, or else my friend will never take my word for anything again!!

Saw the Consultant's sidekick yesterday who was all for a partial knee replacement. Had to have 2 different Xrays(first one showing some deterioration from last year) and then the actual consultant came in and said it was marginal as to whether they'd do anything as yet, but I'm being sent for an MRI scan. Watch this space. I was there all afternoon!

So have a good day all... Hope the sun comes out for @ColinUK

Forgot to say, got blood test results from nurse on Tuesday, HbA1c was now 50, down from 61 in 2 months, so still a lot of room for improvement, but will carrying on working on it. Also in the 2 months lost 15lbs, so again could be better but still all in the right direction.

afternoon ive been in bed until around 2.30pm feeling really rough headache sore throat etc, managed a couple of slices of cheese on toast Waitrose Livlife its really nice toasted BS was 5.0 this morning and not changed much all day
which is a surprise, I expected it to go up feeling ill, have a good dat what's left of it

The sun arrived 🙂

Aloe Vera: This is farmed but it grows wild here. It’s everywhere

The geology is really interesting. It’s basically a huge caldera with fissures radiating out from the centre so there are this spiders web of gorges that you can walk through. At the bottom there’s canary palms and at the top pines. Saw a kestrel or vulture or something that wasn’t a pigeon or a swan but was a bird so I’m claiming it as the lesser spotted canary island vultrel. If you rub it on an ache it soothes pain. That’s why they’re endangered now as they grind them up to make volterel obviously.

Canarii pine. This is in a Parque Naturalismo. No that doesn’t mean everyone’s starkers!

Interestingly my BG has been absolutely flat all day today. And that’s after the most disappointing half a pizza ever. I’d have normally eaten it all regardless but with MJ I just didn’t have the room. That said I’m about 80% water today. I’ve gotten through 7 litres of the stuff today.

Promise I won’t bombard you with as many pics each day and there will be no increase in the amount of flesh I display no matter how much you beg!

.11.7 first thing as I had my basal. My TIR has improved to 76%, Averaging BG at 8.8 which is an improvement.

I've had copious amounts of water today, pint after pint with a break when I had a pint of Diet Coke at the local at dinnertime.

No lathe or ride-on -mower?

😎Hi there fellow finger prickers & CGM users, another totally mad busy day for me @work again today,
following hectic day yesterday, which was much needed as the month end approaches, anyway this morning was a HS in fact I got another again tonight so something to celebrate yesterday on waking I think was 6 (yesterday was a l o n g time ago)

just quickly looking through some of the posts
great results @Grannylorraine both the weight loss and reduction of your Hba1c (even with the help of MJ) it’s still the effort that you put in that is paying off

hope your enjoying your get away @ColinUK (aka our forum chippendale) if you do find that low carb rock fill your bags, think a few of us would fancy a stick of healthy rock, no I just thought actually it might be good to treat hypos, so bring us back a stick of regular 😉

congrats to the HS producers sorry but yes there’s probably been loads that I’ve missed over the last few days ? :star: You can see I was up early (just B4 6am)

hope you’ve all had a great day 😎

Morning yawning. 7.4. Not surprised after an Indian takeaway last night. Had to have a correction before bed as I was a massive 13 something! And that was without any naan as I just forgot about it!

Leftovers for tea tonight. A good night was had by all, both the Indian takeaway and the pizza takeaway arrived at virtually the same time so that was a good start to the night. Was tidied up and everyone gone by 9pm, caught up with Masterchef, because I was so full I couldn’t get into it, I might have to rewatch it! It’s true, I can’t look at food sometimes if I’ve eaten too much.

Holiday prep today, food shopping and laundry. We’re only going an hour down the road to Rydal, between Ambleside and Grasmere, so don’t need to set off until 2ish on Monday and if I forget something, I can pop home for it! There’s a Tesco Metro, Coop and the best butcher ever in Ambleside, and and a Coop in Grasmere so don’t have to take loads of food with us like we do when we’re travelling to the wilds of the Highlands! Some walking gear, toiletries and a few books and we’re packed. Looking forward to it, a week of just ourselves doing what WE want. No child or elderly parent care, we hope, maybe we should have gone to the wilds of the Highlands again, think we’re too close to home! 😉

Have a fab Friday.

Here’s the hordes, minus youngest son-in -law, he had work to do, but we did send him a takeaway. Nearly everyone looking at the camera, just Eden decide to look away at the last minute. There’s aways one. Unlike @ColinUK I opted to keep my top on!
