Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all,
A 6.6 again today!
More ukulele today, final practice before a gig at our church next week 😎

morning 5 for me again, not feeling great but were going out for the day next door are having a new roof and the noise since 8am is driving us both crazy, so is a trip out and fish and chips for lunch, also have to pick up 2 new bedside tables, decorating almost done, well the big jobs are at least, have a good day everyone

Good morning! A 4.4 (UK code) despite treating a hypo around 2:00am.

Early doors Podiatry this morning.

Broken cloud - could go either way.

Still waiting for transport! I have been anything from 10 minutes to one hour late on all my recent appointments. With my foot finally showing some improvement I do not want to miss my Podiatry appointment. Unfortunately most of the controllers seem to think Podiatry is old people having a toe nail trim whereas many are diabetic with issues!

4.7 for me this morning - pleased with that especially after a dip for 3.9 shortly after going to bed. Resisted the urge to eat the entire kitchen, just having around 16g of carbs and that was enough to keep me around 5 for the rest of the night.

Yesterday evening’s urology appointment went well, the consultant was happy to leave me as I am on the Tamsulosin, but said there is a procedure (urolift, which sort of staples the prostate out of the way of the urethra) that is less invasive than TURPS and a good option if I need it in the future. Payment this time was by bank transfer to his bank account, which felt strange to do, but glad I was able to do this and get fast treatment and advice without having to wait months on waiting lists.

Congratulations @eggyg on your HS!

@goodybags - hope everything goes well for you at work and with your various eye appointments, at least you are getting help and it sounds like they are going to get you sorted out fairly quickly.

Have a good day everyone!

5.7 for me on a bright, sunny but chilly Berkshire morning. No frost but my car windscreen was covered in ice and needed a dose of de-icer before I could head off to Morrisons. Too much on the shopping list, so dismissed the idea of walking there and lugging it all back. In any case I'm swimming later, so I'll be getting some exercise before lunch anyway. I'm now doing 22 lengths each visit rather than 20, with the aim of making it 25 by the end of the year. Small steps.

@eggyg - congratulations on your HS, and for being so organised with your Xmas shopping. I've only just started mine.

@freesia - we do Secret Santa too, using the drawnames.com website. This will be our third year and it's worked a treat so far with only one gift to buy rather than several.

Whatever your plans, have a good day.

No wandering down to those naturist beaches! Enjoy. Xx
When my wife and I holidayed in Fuerteventura back in the 1990s we went to a beach that was part naturist. What I would say is that Chippendale/Page 3 lookalikes were in pretty short supply (my wife and I being the exceptions, of course 😉 ).

Chased up Patient Transport to find they had cancelled journey but not informed me! Can't express my feelings as swearing! . Trying to sort something to avoid long delays in dressing change! :(

No, but I believe it may be worth a read. Have you?
PS hope you’ve packed your budgie smugglers for your hol! No wandering down to those naturist beaches! Enjoy. Xx
I bought it ages ago and it’s somehow found it’s way into my cookbook section on kindle so I’d forgotten about it!

Good morning. 6.6 - quite undeserved as I was depressingly good yesterday and ate nothing naughty.

I had a night of waking tho' and had done the crossword by 0200 hrs and spent 3 hours amending layout plan. Looking quite good now - for some reason instead of storing logs in adjacent buildings the vendors grabbed some space for a log store from the house. Ah ha! En suites will fit in there nicely and give bigger better shaped bedrooms. Found a left hand flue wood burring cooker on the web so that will sort out the chimney's silly position...Wish I could find my drawing board - bet the kids have annexed it to Oxfordshire - without one your tracing paper goes ruddy everywhere.

Beautiful morning, not a cloud in the sky and not enough breeze to stir a feather. Heavy rain last night - my accurate "met station" (dog bowl) was 2" deep. Peachy out, kicking up legs and snorting, not very good for paddocks but understandable given days of standing in.

Hope everyone has a good day.

When we only had three grandchildren we took them to Costa Blanca in the October half term. One day we took the bus to Benidorm, we’d heard the beaches were Blue Flag and very sandy. Rhys, who was about 11, was mortified to see all these topless, very, very tanned old ladies. They looked like knarly tree trunks! He laid on the sun bed with his face down and refused to come for a swim or a game of ball. We love to remind him, he’s nearly 18 now and still traumatised!

We’re away on holiday next week so I’d be pushing it if I waited until we got home, I’d have less than two weeks! Plus three daughters, three sons-in-law, seven grandchildren and my mother-in-law. It’s a lot of presents and lots of wrapping, which I absolutely hate! I get so stressed by it I wouldn’t enjoy my holiday thinking about it all.

Afternoon all - Dark now, but it's been mostly sunny with just one rain shower (whilst we were outdoors of course).

4.7 this morning, tho' the low alarm had gone off a couple of times prior to that.

We were trying to get in touch with the new internet providers as we have difficulties connecting our laptops every morning since the switch to fibre to the premises. Couldn't get hold of them, then we rushed off to catch the bus into town as we were meeting friends for lunch in what used to be our "Local" when we lived in town. It's changed from being tenants to being a managed pub and lost all it's atmosphere now, but they still do fairly good food (when they have a chef) and there's still an open fire. Anyway we had a good laugh with our friends and took advantage of the offer of a lunch for £13:50 including a glass of wine or a pint. 3 of us had fish and chips and one person had a rump steak open sandwich. We will not see our friends until well into the new year as they are off back to Surrey on Friday - so we exchanged presents and were quite sad to part.

Did a bit of Xmas shopping - I think I have finished now. Still waiting for one present for J to be delivered and I have still to wrap them. My most hated task is still to be done....Christmas cards! We have found 50 unused ones in a box in the attic so no need to buy...but I am not posting any. I am so "bah humbug" about them!

Congratulations to @eggyg and @a live on your HSs.

Blooming heck... another hypo now. Oh well a mince pie will be welcome with my cuppa.

Have a good evening all!
