Morning and a 5.9 and as it is a w/ end am a bit later in posting and actually nice to comment on sone of earlier posts today rather than yesterdays.
@ColinUK enjoy Pride and great to see how the whole Movement has grown and become part of mainstream society.
Must admit we all go on about the Good old days but I can think of several huge areas where the improvement has been tangible and I would include the much greater acceptance of all kinds of people who at one time were seen and in fact persecuted for being considered different including those from the LGBT community/disabled/ from a different colour or culture.
Am not saying there is not a long way to go in many cases but we are in a much better place than when I grew up where the general view was much more based on ignorance and intolerance.
Am just imagining what Role both Mr and Mrs @eggyg would play.
A mean and moody Heathcliffe or a dark mysterious Mr Darcy and our heroine cast as a Jane Austen Type.
Enough of my dreaming and back to my reality a day in the garden once the new wheelbarrow arrives to move more tree Bark and a nice lunch out.
Had really good sleep and usual lovely Pizza last night but all HAGW and just about to have breakfast

Good moaning! Woke in the teens after another evening hypo that was overtreated! Asked for a correction dose and hour before usual time of breakfast time. Denied yet again! Told to drink only water with no sugar free squash despite dietician saying the carbs in it were irrelevant. How do you get rid of these entrenched silly ideas. Will say more about dietician',s visit in my Road Back thread.

Hope everybody having a slightly better start to the day. Woken at 2;45 for BG and at 5:30 for BG and a freshen up. But over three hours later I haven't even had a hot drink... :(

Morning all
5.7 for me, very happy with that
At hospital now doing my volunteering work, hard lines Raducanu at the tennis last night, just played a better player.
Taking my wife and daughter to afternoon tea this afternoon, it’s a old building that used to be a Masonic lodge, I remember it well, it was over forty years ago I painted the ceiling with clouds, stars then the half moon at the far end, memories eh, can’t see it still being there !!!
Have a great Saturday everyone

Morning all. Another high this morning and has been from about 2am again. I've just had a quick look on LibreView and its inconsistent. Sometimes i'm stable all through the night, other times it spikes at about 2am and stays high. I could do with downloading the data and looking more carefully but it wouldn't let me today for some reason. Its all tiring and i'm very fed up with it all now.

Good morning, 5.5 for me.
Tired after last night's camping shenanigans.
We are going to do archery today, which I've not tried since I was a teen. I think 7yo wants me to take her on a kayak, so we'll do that if I can get into it. Wish me luck!

Have a great day all.

Morning all and 6.3 for me and I'm pleased to say 92%TIR yesterday despite my insulin mixup. I think I did OK there. The one instance where the slow release carbs in a pizza worked for me.

It's damp and grey do it'll be an inside day.

Got the key to our new rehearsal space so hopefully make a start in setting that up next week.

Have a good day everyone.

Sometimes the good old days were anything but. Hindsight and old rose tinted specs comes to mind.

Of course we have come along way but look at Hungary banning Pride, and resulting in the largest Pride parade turnout the country has ever seen!

We’ve further to go still. Having no official ️‍ Jewish groups participating in the march for yet another year is distressing. We’re a tiny part of a marginalised society who are being further marginalised.

I will be wearing a T-shirt that declares proudly that I am a gay Jew. Sod the consequences.

5.8 today which I’ll happily take as we will be loading the car later this morning with holiday stuff, then unloading and putting everything away on the boat later - always a BG busting task!

Our relaxing holiday is not quite that yet thanks to a missing Boat Safety Scheme certificate (equivalent of an MOT) which means we can’t book Harecastle tunnel passage for Monday nor a mooring at Ellesmere Port National Waterways Museum for next Friday. Grrrrr. I’ve just called the management company and they are chasing the engineer who originally did the inspection in May (!) and the second one who did another inspection yesterday in an attempt to get it sorted. They do say that things happen haphazardly on the canals and Canal Time is a thing . You can just turn up at Harecastle without a booking, but not sure if the tunnel keepers check a boat’s insurance and BSS, but we’ll see. Trouble is I hate things like this and it will doubtless nag away at me until it gets sorted.

@ColinUK enjoy Pride today, hope the weather stays good for it.

Have a great Saturday everyone!

5.7 for me on a rather dull and grey Berkshire morning. Can't believe that some areas are getting drenched and down here it's parched. Latest email from our water company reads more like a plea to conserve water rather than tips.

My wife was contacted by Nectar yesterday to ask if we'd spent 5500 Nectar points at a Sainsbury's in London. No, we hadn't - someone had stolen all our Nectar points. They've been reinstated and we now have new card numbers, but we were advised to delete the Nectar and Sainsbury's Smartshop Apps from our phones and set them up all over again. We also didn't know that there's now a Spend Lock feature on Nectar which means you have to log in and unlock the card before you can use the points. It's turned on now.

Time to replace the roofing felt on our summer house so I'll be off to Wickes later. Other than that it's some grocery shopping - not much, as there's just me and our youngest here this weekend - and the usual round of household chores.

Enjoy your Saturday.

We didn't know this either until a few weeks ago when hubby went to buy something using the points. The card wouldn't work and no one could understand why. It turns out that Nectar had locked the card for us as we had quite a few points but didn't tell us. Hubby now unlocks the card when i go shopping then locks it again once i'm done.

It is quite common. Nectar points are cash, which is why they are targeted. The airline industry had to deal with significant fraud involving airline points for a long time. Really horrible to happen to you.

My latest from the water company was my bill. Tap Water sees a 22% increase and 54% on the cost of waste. Mind-blowing.

Totally agree Colin, why are there so much hate in society now, which prevents normal people marching peacefully, I remember years ago when I used to watch my local football team Hearts at half time we used to change ends of the ground to watch your side scoring and when you met the opposition supporters there was banter, no fighting, no abusive language, just as it should be. How life has changed that much, I’m glad I’m at the last chapter of mine, I feel sorry for all you younger folk on coping, we must always hope people will get on with each other and they are some who do try.

Morning all (just) a happier 5.2 for me earlier this morning.

Have a good rest of the day folks and stay cool.

7.2 at 6am, fell back asleep and woke again at 11.15am. Been up for 4 hours and still sleepy, even though I had a 10 minute walk (once again into the breeze). My BG has dropped back into the green confirmed by a FP. Not particularly hungry as I had a couple of Rich Tea biscuits an hour ago - should be ok for another hour or so. Reduced my liquids down for 3 pints within the first 4 hours of the day (the 3rd July-today).
TiR at 86% and daily average 7.9, so not complaining.

Didn't get out to celebrate our 18th anniversary of our meeting, yesterday, as we were both very tired. Better today, so maybe we can fit something in this weekend???

Congratulations @Barrowman on todays' HS.
