Group 7-day waking average?

@silver minion and @Grannylorraine thanks for asking about mum. As usual when she goes into hospital they don't treat the problem she goes in with (in yesterday's case, pain in her chest/heart). Nope they decide to drain fluid from around her body and mess with her BP meds because, unsurprisingly, its gone up. Its been absolutely fine until she went in. Its so frustrating because they'll keep her in while they struggle to get meds right when they didn't need changing in the first place. I'm really hoping they don't keep her in for long as before when they do this, its anything up to 6 weeks before she's out and we have the hassle of sorting new meds with the GP again.

I’ll post first & then, catch up. 11:58 BS 5.0 just before the alarm; was just ringing as I left the loo & that little jaunt sent me up to 12:00 BS 6.1 🙂 Last night’s graph looks strange with short jagged peaks but, generally going down & the plan seems to have worked.🙂

A Very G’Day Mates to you all & hope you’re having a Wonderful Day? 😉

Had my 49 Tresiba at midday & just finished breakfast! Uhhhhhh! Just had my 50/50 no crusts bread go mouldy, AGAIN, 1 day past use by but, there were only the last 2 sandwiches left so, chucked it to eat the beef slices on its own with a seafood ramen noodle cup & a pot of tea! No matter what, it seems, I just have to eat my bread within the use by date which, isn’t easy with just 1 person OR just don’t get any bread at all! A Frustrated emoji!

Just put on a load of dishes & I’m trying it on a standard setting WITHOUT a dishwasher tablet as I have noticed now how salty the dishes especially, the cutlery tastes: slow to notice it at first as everything started to taste salty & licked some cutlery to confirm it! See if the dishes still come out clean with just water: if not; do an extra cycle to rinse off all of the salt! :confused:o_O:thankyou::D

We don't eat much bread either, so we keep it in the freezer and just get couple of pieces out when we want them.

No thanks! I have one just like her at home. Dive bombs me on the bed at 4am lately and prods me whining pitifully until I get up and let her out for the morning patrol of the garden. Not feeding her at 4am! She always has a few biscuits in her bowl to snack between meals. Wouldn't swap her though. She's very loving and entertaining. <3
Maybe I should give in and feed her..!

Do be aware that the fatty residues on crockery and cutlery may mostly wash off but you will likely be left with a greasy film but more importantly, that grease/fat will deposit in your drains and dishwasher waste pipe and eventually cause a blockage. The detergents in washing products are designed to emulsify fats so that they lift fats and oils off whatever you are washing and are far less likely to cause fat deposits/blockages in drains, so not using the tablets could result in a nasty mess one day when your dishwasher can't empty because the pipe is blocked or your house drains become blocked.

Thanks @rebrascora , I didn’t think of that. The dishes did come out clean because it’s freshly dirty & not been sitting for a while!

I will go back using the dishwasher tablets then & do an extra quick, 30 minutes cycle, afterwards to get rid of the salt: it looks like about 2 thirds of the tablet is salt & only a third is the detergent; SO much salt, no wonder I’m tasting it!

Lanny - it seems most dishwasher tablets contains salt. I think the performance depends on whether your water is hard or soft.

Cheers,

Nick

That’s what we do. We only eat one slice when we have a sandwich. I make all our own bread, white for me, granary for Mr Eggy and also rolls and baguettes and focaccia. I have a bread maker which makes it easier. It all freezes very well.

Have you put dishwasher salt in too? I’ve never in 40 years of dishwashers had to use salt, we live in a soft water area. We do use rinse aid, that’s a must for all dishwashers. Have you got that in? I’ve never tasted salt, my dishes are always sparkling and squeaky clean, there shouldn’t be any residue at all.
Mr Eggy has just fitted our brand new dishwasher that arrived this morning. This is our fourth, and hopefully, our last. Couldn’t do without it if I’m honest. I definitely wouldn’t entertain as much without one. I really haven’t enjoyed washing by hand this last week or so.
