Group 7-day waking average?

6.2 earlier on a chilled morn. It soon warmed up. I thought we were in for some warmer weather - there was no fooling the freezing breeze, even thou it was from a southerly direction(!?!) Walked for about 15 minutes before my balance went awol.

Played guitar for an hour or so, even though it was a pool day - pool was called off and we didn't feel like venturing far from home; as we we're both feeling under the weather, symptomatic of a cold or something.

Had a very carby lunch - Sausage roll and a Hot-Cross bun, my BG started to rise, but not that far and still in range.

I finally contacted my insurers about my status as an employer, to send out a redundancy notice. Not nice but relative employee informed well in time. He wanted to move away from a caring roll to teaching, so not as bad as you may think. It's just complicated for myself, as arrange some longer periods of care that I'm in need of.

Late post for me today. I have just read through 2 days worth of posts and now I've forgotten who I was going to say 'Congratulations' to. So I shall say Congratulations to anyone with a HS today ir yesterday. Oh, and I was going to say Congratulations to you, @Grannylorraine for the excellent blood results.

6.7 for me this morning. Higher than my usual. That said, I have always been a stress/comfort eater - and, although switching to low carb/higher fat has definitely helped me lose the cravings that used to plague me, I do still find that I'm vulnerable if I'm tired after a long day at work, if I or Mr B haven’t planned the evening meal or we're at the tail end of a big shop and non carb items aren't easy to grab. All 3 were true last night so I can't really complain about a morning reading in the 6s!

Training today was fine. Training tomorrow will be even more fine as it's online and I'm debating doing the time honoured on-screen work wardrobe and just staying in my pyjama bottoms all day, with a smart top!!

Morning a 6.2 after a nice overnight line and yesterday was a full day.So our dog had his operation and he has been fantastic and is already up and about.
We have some complicated sleeping arrangements as he is downstairs and we have to keep dogs separate for a few weeks a they all want to mix.
The procedure went really well and he has settled down but it will mean we both have to juggle things about a bit.
Also had a phone call from estate agent and we have accepted an offer on one of our BTLs.
We had reached the point where we it was going to be the last viewing before we rented it back out and they came good.
So walked the dogs having my cup of tea and have a great day

Morning all. 6.4.

Another cool but bright morning, supposed to be about 18 degrees today. Was hot enough yesterday when we went for our walk, 7.5 miles through our local woods, river very low and lots of trees down, at one stage we thought we were going to have to turn back as I couldn’t get over or under a fallen tree. I’m only 5ft 2ins with little legs and when I eventually climbed on to it I just couldn’t life my left leg over as it hurt my hip, I looked like the girl on the fat pony from the Thelwell cartoons! If you know you know! Anyhoo, with Mr Eggy’s help he gently lifted it for me and wasn’t too bad in the end, hip feels fine this morning. It was a lovely, very quiet walk, taking in the village where our daughters went to school. Glad we did it.

Today a trip into town to take lots of trophies to get engraved for the Camera Club annual awards night on the 22nd. I have five birthday presents to buy, three birthdays are when we are on holiday next month so need to get them and deliver them before we go away, and Easter outfits for the four youngest grandchildren, the big ones are getting cash along with their Easter egg. Busy busy.

Have a fab Friday all.

I took one photo yesterday, I could hear the birds in the woods but couldn’t see them, came out of the woods to cross a very busy railway bridge and here’s this chiffchaff singing it’s little heart out. It must have just arrived back from its winter holidays and it wants everyone to know!

Morning all, 6.1 here.
Having a day off from the builders, they’ve just got some small bits and bobs left which they can fit in around another job. Am feeling old. When we call in local tradesmen, we quite often used to find that they were the parents of kids that were at school with ours. Discovered yesterday that one of the builders (who looks to be in his 40s) is the brother of two girls who were at school with our kids!

Good morning all
I must be feeling better MH-wise. I'm wearing makeup. I did my hair so it's perfect; it took hair wax and hairspray. By God, it looks good. I'm wearing No5, the works (perfume, body lotion, and hair mist). By goodness, it feels good to be alive today.
Went to bed on 7.2 woke up to 5.0 The diabetic fairy likes me today
You all take care and have a good day. To anyone whos finding things a bit hard, it does get better you know

7.2 today - and I have no idea why. Diabetes can be frustrating on the days when you do everything right but the numbers are still wrong.

One of the 42 things that can affect our blood glucose ... but I have no idea which one!

Anyway - my day of online training starts in 30 minutes so I should actually get ready as I was joking (mostly) about wearing pyjamas!

Thank Crunchie it's Friday. Have a good day everyone.

A 5.4 for me today. 🙂

Morning all. 6.3 for me today.
Yesterday was mainly a mix of sleep and laundry. Had tickets for theatre in the evening but decided that sleep was more closely aligned with my needs so let it slide.

Busy time coming up with Olivier contenders to see (35 shows added to the schedule this week) plus it’s Pesach / Passover from Saturday onwards so heading to the folks tomorrow afternoon for a Seder service and meal.

We can’t eat a whole long list of things during Pesach but basically it’s nothing that can easily ferment and no wheat generally. Although there are exceptions because what would Jewish tradition be without a few of those!

5.5 this morning for me, thanks to having to correct a low at bedtime - how annoying! Ah well, it’s still nicely in range.

Car had brake pads and discs replaced yesterday plus two new front tyres, the garage discovered a cracked front suspension spring so have kept it in overnight to fix today when the part arrives. We were just saying we haven’t had to spend anything on it (other than servicing) and along comes a £900 bill today :(. It’s only 4 years old as well, but with the state of our roads I guess it’s not too surprising.

Day at home enjoying a forecast high of 21 here.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Morning all. 🙂 7.3 here.

A lie in! Yes! We were meant to be cross-marking this morning (it’s soooo boring) but the boss is ill (aw) so it’s been cancelled (yay) - so my Easter break starts now...I’m doing the happy dance. I did all my admin yesterday, so I’m free for two weeks. You’re right @Bexlee - diabetes is easier without work getting in the way. Enjoy your trip.

What a sweet pic @eggyg. Much nicer than this year’s Countryfile calendar. I’d rather have your cute little chiffchaff on the kitchen wall than this month’s offering of two manky lambs and an angry-looking ewe LOL.

07:46 BS 10.4 Just can’t seem to get dinner before bed right but, both breakfast, a BIG surprise there, & lunch were within my normal ranges which I know is probably NOT the norm so, I’ve never had high percentages of TIR as I go up a lot, peak around 1.5-2 hours & come down! My meal hills are big & pointy normally now, with an infection, I plateau just a bit lower than my peak for longer & then, suddenly plunge down to normal levels in the last hour sometimes in the last half hour! So, if I’m only getting dinner before bed wrong due to being too cautious I suppose that’s good enough!🙂

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I just bought myself a small countertop dishwasher that you can plumb or not from Amazon & I NEVER KNEW BEFORE that such things existed! It’s going to make my life SO much easier!

I was watching on youtube a couple of videos about gadgets you can buy on Amazon for the elderly: why I was I watching that I hear you ask as I’m only 53?; I’ve had manual dexterity problems for quite some time now due to neuropathy & the recent kitchen clear out & reorganising made me think there are ways to make my life easier! Then, because I’ve watched a certain type of video more similar types pop up as always seems to happen on youtube, I watched another video of products you can buy on Amazon for tiny apartment's & that’s when I saw this small countertop dishwasher! WOW! It widened my eyes & I sat up straight in bed!

Searched for small dishwashers on Amazon & all these different makes & models of around 5l & some 6l of water capacity countertop dishwashers than wash crockery, cutlery, cups etc for 4 people came up! They’re all plumbable, is that a word, for filling & draining or you can just fill up the water manually & put the drain pipe into the sink!

I just bought the first model that came up with Amazon’s Choice on it & was the cheapest at £209 but, they’re all similarly priced & I can’t wait to get on Monday! 😛 & for my excitement!

THIS is going to be a life changer for me! I NEVER KNEW SMALL COUNTERTOP DISHWASHERS EXISTED BEFORE!!! o_O

Have woken up to blue sky and sunshine again after a couple of grey and overcast mornings. It did brighten up yesterday as expected and I was able to get some more summer house painting done. Just one side left to do plus I have to get some masking tape on the windows to do those bits. That just leaves the doors, which are a different colour. It already looks a lot better for having had a fresh coat of paint. Final job will be to replace the felt roofing.

Friday, so grocery shopping as usual later, otherwise it's back on painting duty and then dog-walking with my wife when she finishes work, which on Fridays she does from home.

Had my Shingles jab on Wednesday and no side-effects other than a sore arm. Was told to book my second one in 6-12 months time so have made a note on our calendar for mid-October.

5.5 when I tested this morning.

Enjoy your Friday. Our forecast is for low 20s today and tomorrow.

6.7 this morning, but had a low at 3am. Woken by my Apple Watch which was being very insistent. Had to turn the alarm off for a bit. Took some glucose. I’m trying a bowl of porridge for breakfast instead of a slice of toast and a smear of low-sugar apricot jam. Plus coffee of course. What do others have for breakfast?

Beautiful morning in South London but the garden with lots of pots needs the rain expected tomorrow. ☀️

Nick

5.9 on waking today

Thank You to all that showed care :care: & concern after I posted yesterday
for those that suggested I consider it, unfortunately retirement isn’t an option for me for me (currently)
as we only took out a mortgage 2 years ago, ok it’s not a huge one, in-fact the payments are less than our rent we were paying prior to buying, one good thing is we are overpaying so at currently there’s another 5 years to go, but I’ve been seriously thinking a job or even a career change (very wise for my MH especially at the moment)

Theres a few things to do at home today for me this morning, including sorting / moving things as we have a new cable for (600mps broadband) coming this afternoon, I’m to tight to go for the 1 gig or faster that was available, TBH we just need a fast(ish) but stable connection that works throughout our small bungalow
Plus, I need to pop down to MK to get a car key repaired as I recently dropped the spare one, it no longer works, I’ve tried the battery obviously, when I asked this car key business he seemed to know what he was talking about, so will leave it with him before I speak to the dealer or look for a new one, this will be dependant on what time CityFibre turn up this afternoon.

Looking forward to the weekend, have a visit to the vampire on Monday full blood test Inc HbA1c etc.. then a review with the GP on a call sometime on Wednesday

Looks like lovely weather today here today also
Have a Fabulous Friday 😎
