The Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. The very first hotel featured on the BBC series Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond The Lobby. With a floating observation boat deck at the top & a huge infinity swimming pool! Also, featured on the BBC’s first Race Across The World as the last stop in the race from Greenwich London to Singapore! It’s a dream hotel of a type I’ll never be able to afford to stay at! 😱😛😎 Only get to see it TV!5.4 on waking this morning. 34 degrees in the shade……. I’d say obs not in the UK but no idea how weather is there.
Diabetes and no work really does seem to work !
Have you been inside the hotel? Weather here is definitely not 34 in the shade but a very sunny and warm 18 xx5.4 on waking this morning. 34 degrees in the shade……. I’d say obs not in the UK but no idea how weather is there.

Not yet. Later in the week.Have you been inside the hotel? Weather here is definitely not 34 in the shade but a very sunny and warm 18 xx
Gardens by the Bay is great as well! We went about 3 times (once at night for the light show in the Super Tree grove). Also you must go to Raffle’s Long Bar for a Singapore Sling🙂Not yet. Later in the week.
Is it possible you could do something else, work less hours or even retire early? I don't know your circumstances but work stress is not worth the way it makes you feel. I found work increasingly difficult late last year, after having a few years before that of increased workloads/expectations and the best (and hardest) thing i did was walk away. Look after yourself first because you matter. Take care. Big hugs.Morning was 6.6
hardly slept last night & very anxious
work related stress has re-triggered anxiety (only went BTW last Thursday)
something must change
I am looking forward to the weekend

Ah! Is that where the sweetener Stevia comes from? So, it’s a natural sweetener then, & not artificial? I’ve heard of Stevia but, just lumped it in altogether with artificial sweeteners which I avoid!Good morning folks. 7.4 today. Very overcast and a bit chilly first thing. Decided to have a bit of retail therapy and went to the garden centre in Horncastle. Bought a selection of garden stuff including 2 Stevia plants which were in the same tray as various herbs. We were very naughty and pinched off a leaf to taste it. WOW started off slightly minty then a full on sweet slightly tropical fruit vibe as the saliva started work on it.
Bought 2 plants and will try a few finely chopped leaves with stewed rhubarb. I will let you know how it turns out
Back home and the sun is shining 😎
Hope your parent's move goes smoothly @Eternal422 . It will be a big adjustment for everyone.
Hope those of you who have been on holiday had a great time and those of you going on holiday soon enjoy yourselves.
Sending hugs to those of you struggling with any MH issues and anyone recovering from illness or injury.
I count my blessings that life is relatively quiet and peaceful in my little corner of the world.
Take care![]()
Yes I wouldn't touch the ultra processed sweetener extracted. I knew the plant grew in Brazil but didn't expect to see it in the local garden centre. The leaves are sweeter than sugar but not as concentrated as the extracts. Going to try them chopped up and added to food. You can add them to tea but I like my tea unsweetened.I didn't know stevia was a plant either - but having said that - to get the 'sweetener' from any plant including sugar cane or sugar beet - it's always got to be ultra processed, however you regard it. Hence not in the slightest what you could possibly regard as 'good for you' generally.
The plant is natural but not the ultra processing to extract the sweetener. Trying the leaves as a natural sweetener.Ah! Is that where the sweetener Stevia comes from?
