Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. 6.6 here...that’s more like it.

The motor that controls the driver side window on our car has stopped working (the passenger side ground to a halt last year - must be one of those certain breed of car problems), so I’m hoping we can get it fixed today - the window’s open by about an inch. It’s a quick fix, but they’ll need to get the part first. Fingers crossed they can do it today.

No classes today, but 3 important Welsh emails to deal with - I can usually get the gist but will definitely be asking Google translate for help with some of the vocabulary. The big boss and main admin are retiring tomorrow...eek!...so I want to make sure I’m as up-to-date as possible while the new boss and admin ease themselves into the role. We’re having a major staff clearout across all subjects, so interesting times ahead!

5.4 today and now it’s sat sulking at 4.7 but the porridge will kick in soon. I’ve found adding just a few flaked almonds helps tame any spike from it so now I usually get a double-peaked hill on the chart usually in range still, instead of a high spike. Result!

@BobbleHat - enjoy your celebratory Chinese buffet today!

The car is in for a service today so we’ll be yet again trapped at home. Good news on the tiling though, pretty well finished and a couple of hours today should see everything completed (other than us doing a spot of decorating now which we will hopefully get done next week).

My son gets married on Saturday then we’ll be across at my parents for Mother’s Day on Sunday so a busy weekend ahead!

Have a good day everyone!

Happy Anniversary @BobbleHat 🙂
A 6.3 for me today. 🙂

Dez

I am with Dez on the 6.3 step and also wishing @BobbleHat a happy anniversary and enjoyable meal.

What a difference a day makes! I realised yesterday that I had let my HRT patch lapse a bit too long.... in fact, well over a week too long. Applied a new one yesterday and despite my high levels the 2 previous nights, I reduced my Levemir by 1.5 units last night and had a straight line in the low 4s (just where I like to be) all night with a DP rise to my waking reading. Much happier with that! Hard to believe a little clear plastic patch on my hip can make such a massive difference. Having said that a serious hoof trimming session yesterday afternoon probably also helped. My back and hands this morning are rather stiff but will no doubt loosen up as the day goes on and hooves definitely look better.

Morning, 6.4 today

Spent too much time last night trying to correct my BG down from 8+ (to keep in pregnancy ranges). It took hours to get it down to about 7.4 so then I decided to change my cannula etc - should have done this before then but was too tired to think straight. Eventually realised I should calibrate my pump - it was 5.3, not over 7! And so I went back to bed feeling reassured, before waking an hour or so later with a BG of 8 which I couldn't get back down - the new cannula had failed.

Think I got about 3 hours of interrupted sleep before my cat decided to jump on me to wake me up. She is a very pointy cat so not the most comfortable way to get up!

I think I've learned that sleep is important, and possibly staying awake worrying about slightly raised BG levels isn't going to help. Not sure on that one. Looking forward to my consultant appointment next Tuesday as I'm a bit worried!

A long school day today. Last day of term tomorrow and I can't wait!

Morning 7.8 to start the day. Looking very dull outside.
Happy Anniversary @BobbleHat . Enjoy your Chinese meal with Mr B.
Only just made it to the hairdresser on time yesterday. Hubby got held up in roadworks and got back late.
He cleared the rest of the veg patch and the chickens got the last remaining purple kale. Cissie has a few broken feathers on her back where Bugle has been treading her a bit vigorously. Looks like we will have to order some chicken saddles.

Take care and have a nice Thursday everyone.

6.5 for me this morning. Which is (along with my overnight BGs) is an absolute WIN given the curry out I had last night with some old friends.

Deep thought worked pretty hard overnight to level things off, and the food wasn handled brilliantly.

The only horror was a zero-alcohol pint beforehand that pushed my BG from mid 4s to over 14 in an hour. 😱😱😱

Morning all it was a 5.0.yesterday for me but got distracted by having to change a wheel on the car due to a nail in the tyre. Today was a 'Sensor Error ' with a few gaps and blips overnight.

Got asked if we wanted to do any support slots for PIL on their forthcoming tour but sadly it doesn't look like we can do many, if any of them . Nice to be asked though.

Better keep an eye on the weather as the washing on the line is just about done.

Have a nice day everyone.

Morning all. 6.0

Had a meeting at awards hq last night with some other panel members which was interesting. We’ve already got a very diverse set of likes and dislikes from the things we’ve seen so far.

There are a few things we tend to agree on though. Namely that’s that audiences are often atrociously behaved no matter whether they’re seeing a jukebox musical or classical ballet!

6.0 for me on a rather cold and cloudy Berkshire morning. Yesterday was a lovely day, though. Had a productive spell in the garden taming our 3 dogwoods (a job and a half that was) and staking our raspberry plants. Also got our garden furniture out of storage and set up so that everything could freshen up in the sun (our patio is a bit of a sun trap), and I even managed to get 4 machine loads of washing dry on the line. At the moment it doesn't look like there's any chance of a repeat today.

Didn't get to bed until half-three this morning after staying up to watch the tennis. Shame that Raducanu had a medical episode halfway through the match as she was playing really well up to that point and her form dropped a bit afterwards. She's still had a good tournament, though.

Usual Thursday swim before lunch otherwise nothing special planned. In the meantime a coffee and the newspapers.

Happy 26th Anniversary @BobbleHat and congrats @Barrowman on your HS yesterday.

Morning all. A 4.2 for me earlier this grey morning.

7.2 earlier, dropping down to 6.1 at brekkas. Had a rude awakening this morning when my OHs support arrived a full hour and half early - completely throwing her off kilter.

Started cloudy earlier but the suns' burned off the gloom revealing another sunny day - a tad warmer too.

I had an appointment to see the Phlebotomist an hour later, but that was easier than I thought -weight down to 90Kg (The semi-keto diet is having an effect), BP at 125/73. I even had a little walk to get home, just down the street (Walking isn't my strong point as I keep falling over).

We was a little late back so there was no time to play the guitar before my support (he also is my guitar teacher) finished his shift with me

Happy Anniversary @BobbleHat , hope you have a happy & contented time today.

. A better 6.5 after hovering around 10-11 all night despite a 4u correction before bed. I think i am coming down with something now
Oh no, i've done an hour plus gardening, made a card for mum and had a phone call with my brother. I've gone from 6.5 to 15!

Good afternoon! A 5'2 this morning and a really flat line, tho a few hours of data were missing because I had a lie in.

Day off today, I was hoping it would be as sunny as yesterday but it is not. I've done laundry and some reading, now getting out of the house to return something in a shop and meet a friend afterwards. The idea was to have a drink in a terrace and/or an ice cream, but the weather is not looking so suitable for those plans. Maybe coffee and cake instead?

@Elenka_HM - well done on your HS and what a lovely way to start your day off 😎

4.6 this morning shopping done, gym done, long day out tomorrow hubby has his driving experience tomorrow so its a packed lunch then a meal out in the evening, were leaving a 7.30 he has to be there for 9am, he has 5 cars and there is a 20 minute rest time between each car, so were going to have a long time sitting about, not sure were we will be sat waiting but at least ive got my daughter and her boyfriend for company.bit bothered about the meal out they have chosen where to go this time, there's nothing on the menu I like, apart from burger and that got lots of what I would call gunk on them pilled high with bacon, American cheese, chicken cooked in spices and beef of course, and there's the bun its a carb nightmare, I am going to ask them to do me a plain burger with salad, I don't want to spoil the progress my eyes are getting better, so with stuffing carbs down me is not an option.

Congrats on your HS @Elenka_HM
Hope you enjoyed a nice coffee and cake with your friend

happy anniversary to @BobbleHat hope your having a lovely day

I’m glad you asked the question @Colin g as to what band @khskel is in / what music is it they play , it’s something I’ve often wondered myself 🙄
