@Carolg I've just seen this. I'm sorry for your struggles. You're doing great to recognise and ask for support. The suggestion about a BG log, do you know about the project through Dundee Uni? I thought I saw it in here, but maybe it was the practise nurse... I use their webpage My Diabetes My Way. It's really very good. Also I found that I really depend a lot on the frequent testing (pre & post meal) to keep my motivated. It helps me see progress with my weight as well, because I know if my testing results are reasonable that day, my weight loss will more likely be on target. I have to travel to the infirmary to be weighed, as hour or so each way. I don't do that very often. So my testing, even though it isn't probably a direct correlation or cause, the two seem to go together. I guess that control is control. Also, I use fitness pal as well, so counting carbs seems so much easier!
