Before Tea/Evening Meal

Just looked this up. Japanese cuisine? I sat at a sushi bar once watching stuff go by on a conveyor belt. Just trying to eyeball the carbs & working out a pre bolus whilst waiting for my “case” to come around again on the flight carousel. Like the “Generation game” prize bit at the end of the show?
Good game! Good game!

Morning Cliff. What a good idea I remember staying at a hotel in Amsterdam at a European work event and they had a conveyor belt with Japanese food wizzing around. We all arrived at different times and simply were hungry so when the food went past me I simply picked it up thinking it was a kind of buffet.
The reaction of one of the Japanese waiters was one of horror as he crashed his wooden spoon in front of me and a verbal assault in Japanese and took my picking and put it back on the belt.
Apparently it was one of six or seven different courses all of which had to be eaten in precise order and I had upset the routine. It did all work and the egg entertainment was great but I will never forget that episode.

I used to go to Shogun: a teppanyaki restaurant in Birmingham, where the chefs were (and probably still are) very entertaining with the ways that they juggled with the food and the wok and implements.

Evening all. A happy 7.7 for me this fine evening.

6.6, same as this morning. My liver kindly decided to dump some glucose this morning when I was digging up a shrub in the garden, and it took several hours to go back down.
Just about to have a nice roast chicken dinner

4.6 for me

Looks like we will be eating omelette with steamed veg for supper. Am starving.

a great mornings exercise this morning
5.3 before I ate tonight

5.8 for me.

5.9 tonight. I did a couple of hours work in the garden today because the weather was beautiful again. I even sat in my garden chair for a while, it was a little chilly but I felt warm enough with a hoodie on.
I have a load of raspberry canes to dig out tomorrow as last year they took over my entire raised bed and left me no space to plant anything else. It seems a shame to dig them out, but I'll offer them free on Facebook and I'm sure someone will snap them up.

A trip to Birmingham where I accidentally had a Lasagne and beer in Pizza express followed by a tour of the city's surviving brutalist buildings.

So happy to report a 4.7 pre-tea.

And it was an 8.2 for me tonight after spending most of the day gardening.
