Before Tea/Evening Meal

I posted this morning I was feeling run down, and had developed spots and mouth ulcers. Found out today the swab I had on the macerated wounds on the 31st (!) December had shown multiple infections but, staggeringly, was not acted on although antibiotics were advised. The person who checked the results for me has emailed the GP as they do not have the authority to issue a prescription. Will have to chase in the morning as foot looks ever worse! Somehow I doubt the person who missed it will get the reprimand they deserve!

Much to my surprise BG 4.6!

8.4 but was running quite low for much of the day. Took less insulin at breakfast and still nearly went hypo so didn't take any at lunch and still landed within range so pretty pleased with that.

Didn't take a huge amount of NR to cover tea either so be interesting to see what the bedtime reading is.

a welcome HS for me tonight
I say welcome because stressful day at work (well not just at work really but all work related)
just about to eat whilst clearing up some admin related to last month at work

sorry to hear of your foot infections @MikeyBikey, hope you get the needed antibiotics ASAP

Ahhhh ok, why is that!?
Went with the 5.3 because I’ve never been as low as a 4.
Monitors are allowed 15% variation so 5.3 could be anything between 6.1 and 4.5 and 4.4 could be 5.1-3.7 so you can see there is a fair bit of overlap. Essentially both readings are the same.
Better to be looking at trends rather than individual readings.
Unless you doubt your reading as it is unusually high or low no real need to test a second time.
