Before Tea/Evening Meal

Came here and saw Thursday's post hanging!

Ereyesterday - relatively happy with a 7.8 as had start front loading in preparation for my physiotherapy session when Patient Transport informed he they were not taking me!

Yesterday - a less good 9.8. I think it was frustration! I was logged out of my bank three times as I was doing some delving in past statements and was unable to contact anyone of another appointment muddle!

Evening all, a whopping 9.4 for me this evening - must have been the doughnut I had
this afternoon with my tea.

8.4 - was a little conservative with my lunchtime bolus as I'd done over an hour of running and my BG had been falling pretty quickly during that and I'm not yet used to how long my heightened insulin sensitivity lasts after exercise.

Not long is the answer, at least for a shorter, steady run like this.

So, loaded up ready for a bit of a treat - pizza, one of my favourite foods so looking forward to it very much!

Then I'll be up at 2am to take my son to school for the coach pickup for the ski trip...

Tonight was a welcome HS
as this afternoon I had a grab-n- go (from Greggs whilst in town)
where I had been shopping for smaller clothes

@MikeyBikey hope you get back into your online banking easily
I had to visit a bank today myself, throw myself at the mercy of a staff member there to help me, as like you have been locked out of an account and without the customer number (not my actual account number) but something they had originally sent me to enable me to register online after the account had been opened 3 years ago, appreciate the need for them to make online banking secure bus sometimes it’s a bit OTT

I went out today and accidentally had a Thai meal for lunch.
But still 5.8 before tea.

That’s a great result after a Thai Lunch, of course it depends what you ate @harbottle
I'm thinking NO Mango Sticky Rice nor Thai Ice Cream Sandwich was consumed

5.6 here. But I’m just about to go out. Will be dining much later.

I have given you a Star as when I was originally diagnosed BG was measured in mg/dL. The ideal figure according to my consultant at the time was 100 which equates to 5.6 mmol/L. The HS of 5.2 is unique to this forum I believe. My clinic changed around the early eighties.

I remember meters used whilst I was in hospital stays as a kid in the mid 1970s? (Randomly woken by a nurse in the night to stab my hand. Or whilst coming out off anesthetic.) But I didn’t get my first personal BG meter till 1988. That was family GP that issued it. Nobody mentioned I could have one with the consultant.

I had a starter of sweetcorn fritters and a sweet chilli sauce, then a Ginger dish with pork... and a portion of egg fried rice. I ate the lot! (Oh, there was a Thai beer as well.) No carb restriction at all.

That's interesting, as 5.6 is probably the value I see most often. I've often wondered why. Even if it's dropped after a long walk, it'll go back up to 5.6 after 20 minutes.

I've seen 5.5 as being rough 'average' for a non-diabetic.

Evening all, an 8.1 for me pre-dinner, and all the frost has gone I'm pleased to say.

5.8 this evening and have just been out to a very lovely Nepalese cafe. The freshest, healthiest curry I've ever had. Dosing was complete guesswork so erred on the side of caution and can always correct after my bedtime reading.

5.9 before dinner. I increased my abasaglar by 2 units as I seem to be generally hovering around 7 at the moment, rather than 5-6 which I'd prefer.

Forgot to test beforehand tonight but had a pretty safe and low afternoon until another one of Mr Quills experiments. I’ve slapped a ban on him now, no more tweaks, no more - ‘a bit can’t hurt, surely!?’

Absolute mischief he is!

The guy is having a go?

7.7 for me. Have this sensor to watch that “informs.” My wife is cooking up a culinary storm. 🙂
