Before Tea/Evening Meal

tonight 6.9 for me

Alexa has just told me that this evening between 8&9pm expect approximately 1cm of the white stuff

7.6. Very happy with that. Nailed my lunch dose.

Been a fairly stressful day in the office, never internal stress but lots of projects to get mopped up and then have had to embark on another battle with my son's school.

He is struggling with hyper episodes and whilst school hasn't gone a long way to finally putting some good support measures in place sadly certain staff are proving to be a little stubborn in their understanding!

Ah well, I have the advantage that my job involves negotiations, meetings, assertiveness etc so I have the skill set up get them to work with me most of the time 🙂

Noted! 🙂
Still getting used to it all so still feeling silly when I don’t ‘get it’ - especially when it’s something so simple.
No need to feel silly, this is a learning experience for us all and there is so much information to get to grips with...

6.3 before a meal of spag bol and konjac noodles, they are OK with a substantial sauce. It's pretty much all I've eaten today, the sicky feeling I had this morning soon went, but I didn't feel hungry at lunch time.
Lots of drama at work lately with the manager leaving and the owner being arrested! I have a feeling we might all be out of a job soon. I don't mind because I'm planning to retire soon anyway, but I have lot of younger colleagues who might find it hard to get work.

I find pineapple juice excellent for nausea. Less acidic than many and helps feed the insulin

5.9 this evening finger prick 8.9 sensor definatly reading to high, were having a belated birthday meal as we were unable to go out yesterday, so hubby is cooking as we speak fillet steak salad mushrooms and a tiny portion of chips, home made brownie for afters with cream (which doesn't spike me ) and a few glasses of red wine,

Let me know if you don't want all the steak

12.6 this pm but I've been experimenting with a few things so was expecting it to be high.

Bed time reading will also be high but I'll correct overnight 🙂

Good day in the office and an excellent meeting with school. The executive principal is one of the nicest people I've ever met and she totally gets my son so all is good for now 🙂

Can't believe I missed posting earlier, looks looks like I joined @harbottwason the HS step tonight (OK it was actually yesterday now ) today *yesterday was a pretty flat line all day as wel

i didn't pust earlier as had the TV on and I was stunned to see the fire's over in the USA 😱

I've not had the news on tv or listened to the radio for a few days
so was glued to the updates

Sea Bass in a white sauce new pots broccolli and beans no pud :D

7.2 after another nightmare day involving the CQC turning up at work. I have four days off now, time to chill out and catch up on zzzz's

I went straight from work to have my retinopathy scan and I've already got my results online via the NHS app! Luckily everything is OK there (phew)

5.8… after a Wagamama and a walk.

A happy 7.0 for me on this very chilly evening.

Donna Kebab for my dinner today, wifey out so I treated myself.

15.9 - experiment over for now. I was just interested to see what happened if I stopped the insulin whilst I had the Libre up and running.

Day 1 massive BG spikes after but they did come down somewhat however overnight I got to about 10 at around 2300 and then it didn't get any lower than that all night so my body clearly wasn't very interested in bringing it down to a sensible level on its own.

Day 2 same massive spike after breakfast which then plateaued for a bit before dropping. Never got below 12 today.

Started feeling really thirsty and was weeing a lot already so decided insulin was probably very sensible so got back on it for lunch.

That has brought my BG back down nicely. I was just interested to see the response with and without insulin is all.

It has given me some useful data and for now at least it's very clear to me I need the stuff :D

6.3 for me

I don’t usually eat too late, I’m a breakfast and a big lunch kinda gal but I’ve noticed nibbling in the afternoon seems ok and has kept me in my happy little zone.

Mr Quill at his Mums straight from work today so me and the Daughter (actual Daria for the 80’s/90’s kids amongst us) decided on takeaway.
My first since starting low carb and testing so anxiety was high but thanks to Carbs and Cals app, discovered that a 7 piece wings and half a tub of coleslaw from Dominos fit lovely into my day/carbs/cals so I was a happy little lady. Turns out they were out of coleslaw so refunded but sent double the wings as way of an apology.
Going to hazard a guess and assume that my stomach has shrunk a little because oh my word have I felt like rubbish since.

Bob Dylan on BBC FOUR and chill 🙂
