I did not post yesterday as things went a bit pear shaped! I was running slightly high at ~8 when at 5:30 I flinched with a jolt of pain as Phantom Pain struck. My BG shot 10.7 in half-an-hour but I did not eat until gone 10:00 as the pain killed my appetite and unusually the painkillers seemed to upset my stomach.
I've eaten poorly today, but enjoyed it. I was 6.7 when I started my roast dinner 3 roasties a Yorkshire pudding beef plus 5 veg. I was eating out. I then decided to go for broke and had apple crumble and custard. High reading after 14.2. Had small clementine and piece of cheese. Now 5.5 . Must try harder tomorrow.
6 - happy with that. Stayed a little high after lunch - plateaued at 10ish it was rather stubborn about staying there so popped in 2.5U of NR and that seemed enough to bring it back down.
My son started off the day hating skiing which was obviously not what we wanted to hear but he seems to have got into it as the day has progressed 🙂
Tonight 8.4 which was not as bad I I feared. I overtreated the hypo (3.2) I woke up with this morning as I was impatient with an early doors Podiatry appointment. After breakfast and whilst waiting for transport/treatment I spiked into double figures so had just a snack as I was waiting for transport. The wait dragged on for nearly four hours so I had little exercise and covered fewer wheelchair yards 🙂rofl🙂 than usual. Normal service tomorrow I hope!
I had a two hour sleep this afternoon after last night's awful night. Whilst not totally refreshed the migraine has subsided. Pleased with a BG of 5.6 (100mg/dL - my original consultant's ideal figure in 60s. 70s, 80s). 🙂
